The Historical "₿" logo day?

History of Bitcoin logo is from Satoshi Nakamoto and bitboy.

First is from Satoshi: New icon/ logo
Second is from bitboy: More Bitcoin logos, buttons, and also some other graphics. It is the logo we use nowadays but it's imperfection and it was found days ago.

Why do you consider the historical bitcoin logo on February 24th? This is not the first version of the logo and not the last one that is still in use today (the same logo with an orange background and a btc character tilt to the right). It seems to me that first need to decide which day should be considered BTC logo day appeared.

And if some new and updated version appears, then what day to celebrate then?

Usually in such cases, the day of the very first appearance of the logo should be considered.

I think he just pointing out the time of that thread posted by satoshi himself, which I find it's historical indeed. Even though it's different with the current version that created by bitboy, that logo is still being used as favicon of bitcointalk, as you can see above.

At first I thought of bitboy the chubby guy influencer on Youtube. But when you attached the link, Ive seen its a bitcoin forum user. Im not familiar with it, but it seems the logo is very memorable provided he got some inputs.

Special thanks to Crypto Library for bringing this piece of history back. Not so many people take the time to know Bitcoin's history. I find this original logo to be very eloquent: It is a gold coin as in digital gold, as in digital store of value.

I never found out about the history of the bitcoin logo, and this is the first time I saw it from your post,
in my opinion, the past and present bitcoin logos are the same,
the old bitcoin logo looks classic, but cool.

Bitcoin logo from OP is also used for Bitcointalk.
When we have opened a tab from Bitcointalk, we can see it in our tab overview.

Oh my! And all this time I was amused at the news that it took 12 long years for imperfections to be found in the widely used Bitcoin logo by bitboy.

I hope somebody has already relayed to the likes of Arijit Sarkar who wrote Cointelegraph's Bitcoin logo imperfection found on original artwork after 12 years that he had incomplete information when he submitted that misleading article.

So it wasn't really Twitter user @_Bosch_ who made the discovery as this forum's roslinpl had already discovered it as early as 6 years ago. It's even possible somebody had already discovered it earlier.

I wish crypto publications add a comment feature to their articles so that historical information, even those trivial ones like this, may be corrected.

I have a big respect to roslinpl as he and medUSA were my role models in my early time of designing on bitcointalk. Too bad both are not on this forum anymore. Well we can't blame the article's writer though, perhaps he doesn't have an account on Bitcointalk, and that twitter user doesn't either. But yeah, some correction on his article would be great so everyone will recognize that most of important moments in bitcoin history were from Bitcointalk.

The Bitcoin logo is surrounded by circular circles that stand for infinity, eternity, and timelessness.

Wow thanks for mentioning these information,  I have only been working with Bitcoin, but until now I did not know the symbolic meaning of the Bitcoin logo. I wanna also say to you that you can also share this information to our local Bengali thread by translating it . Bitcoin's design has been tightened in three steps. And the first design was done by Satoshi Nakamoto himself. The first logo was unveiled by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009. He originally unveiled the Bitcoin logo by inscribing BC on a gold coin. Then the Bitcoin logo changed step by step.

Logo used in first Bitcoin (2009-2010)


The logo was designed by Satoshi Nakamoto below which ran from 2009 to 2010. This design was originally done by engraving BC (bit coin) on a gold coin.

Bitcoin's second logo (2010)

However, in 2010, the Bitcoin logo was slightly modified to create a logo with only the ₿ symbol, which was running in the market for a very short time.

The third and final logo of Bitcoin‌ (2010-Now)


If the second logo doesn't take off very well in the market, another logo is created for the last time which is still running.  The coin has been modified slightly by keeping the ₿ symbol of the last logo as before, which makes the logo look much more attractive than before, which is why the last logo of Bitcoin is permanently in the market until now.
