How you will charge? Will it be based on the word you will write after researching a topic or something else? If your charge is based on per word then you should mention that rate to be transparent.

I want to mention another point that you have asked for 50% of the payment once you do a few efforts which can prove you can complete the work. But what will happen if you stop after receiving 50% of the payment? Why you won't accept and release the whole payment once the task is complete? You should not be worried as the fund is in escrow.

I think your are talking about the aspect of education if I am not mistaken. The charges for educational write-up per word  is $0.09 and it is slightly negotiable.

If I have started working and I have given you part of the work to updating you on it  nothing stops me from finishing it up and giving you the whole work. That should not be an issue since you already have part of the work attesting to my credibility and reliability to Service delivery. Atleast it would be on the fair side to get part of it so I could foot some bills for the work to completing it but however, there is still room for negotiation.
