To be honest, I didn't ask Betnomi about it. But I'm 99% sure that all accounting, buy-ins are in dollar equivalent (at least it was when I was actively playing poker). In addition, there is also the concept of tournament dollars, so this is another argument in favor of the dollar equivalent.

I also asked Betnomi to add 4 tournaments to the lobby, (tournament details below). And I'll get back to you when I get an answer.

Yes, buy-in on Betnomi is usd based equivalent so yeah better state the buy-in id usd. Anyway, Im not really following this thread but whats the BB stack for the starting chips? are we going to use the previous blinds adjustment as well so pretty sure that would be 3000 BB starting stack or something iirc wasnt it ( or 1500, cant really recall )

Could we start it on 100-200 BB stacks if possible though, just a suggestion but Im cool with whatever gets decided

That last hand A9 vs 10 10... damn, it was a crazy move, not sure if the A9 was a good one for All-In, I would hold until getting a pair or at least AJ. But at that point of the tournament, the users are tired and only want to finish the game.

Do you know how many users join to that tournament? i miss the game that time, but you can count me in for this year.

Judging from the posts here in the thread, we will have around 10-20 participants. Maybe more, but hopefully not less. This was also the number of participants in past bitcointalk poker tournaments. 
Maybe we should start threads again on the local boards?? Guess not all people look into the gambling space regularly.

Thanks, that's very generous. 

Either way, it's very sad that you won't be playing. I was looking forward to playing with you again. Maybe it works at the next tournament. Hopefully more people don't cancel.

Yeah it's just hard for me to justify spending a Sunday night with a relatively deep stack for a $20 buy in.. Perhaps a bit degen from my part but just have to weigh pros and cons against each other.

I do wish you all the best of luck though, one day.. maybe at $100k BTC we can do some high roller stuff

okay, i understand. but unfortunately you can't please all users and you have to find a compromise for all of them. i or rather we accept your decision (please don't get me wrong), but in the first line the fun should be in the foreground
i am really curious how many users will register for the first game. only then can we estimate the resonance and perhaps the number of participants for the upcoming rounds.

my suggestion would be for an 8k chips stake a ratio of 100/200 and then the blinds would always be doubled after the 8 minutes have passed
there will be a tournament password for all participants, which will be sent by icopress or me to the players as dm. icopress is also in contact with betnomi, regarding the creation of the btctalk tournament with the respective number of tables on the platform

And what about the table sizes? will they be 6 players' tables or 9 players' tables, I mean, if the amount of players is low I think 6 players' table would be better, but personally, I would lobe to be in a 9 players' table with the community.

I would recommend 10 or 15 minutes for then next blinds level, feels like 8 minutes will make the tournament roll really fast, but is just a suggestion.

This is nice, I was thinking about how you will avoid getting other users getting involved in the tournament, but a password for it should work fine.

I'm really excited about this event, isn't about the money, is about gambling with the community.

of course 6 players per table would be better because we will play more hands. I also suggest 25/50 or 50/100 first blinds and 50%,30%,20% principle of prize pool BTC distribution. So,yahoo62278 had good prize pool distribution rules last year, I would consider it.

8k is abit weird there, lets go with 10k on 100/200 BB stack ratio I guess that would be fun  . Blinds increase every 8 minutes would be perfect I guess, that means unless you are a very loose player then majority is going to get through the 1st break

I'd say depends on the pool size. If we have alot of players then 6 players per table would be neat but if we have 9 or less which probably will be around this number sticking until the end of tournaments then 9 players on a table would be great as well

A tourney can be added fairly quick. Someone has to fill the form out(I have it I believe if someone needs a peek). After that it's just a matter of Sorsis turning it in and it'll be in the lobby shortly after.

When deciding blinds and such, keep in mind that it turns into a shovefest pretty quick if you make the blinds too fast. People interested in playing in this mini series should set aside 2-4 hours for it per game. Shouldn't be trying to hope you're in and out in less than an hour. It's poker, not a bonus but slot.

all users who are willing to pay the amount of the buy-in can participate in the tournaments. there is no difference if someone has received a dm or not - all are welcome at the tables
