Typically, countries like the United States, China, and Russia (competing as Russian Olympic Committee in recent years due to doping sanctions) tend to be among the top medal winners at Summer Olympics. Other nations that often perform well include Great Britain, Japan, Australia, and Germany. Which countries you think will have the most medals at the Paris Olympics?
As far as the top is concerned, I think there's no question that it will be the United States. I have no doubt about it. So far in this current Olympics, the US is leading with 71 medals all in all. The second, China, is trailing behind with only 45. That's nearly half of what the US got.
The US is still the leading nation in terms of sports. The Olympics, being the largest sporting event in the world, has sufficiently proven that. The US will certainly be the number 1 this time around, just as it was the number 1 in Tokyo in 2020, in Rio in 2016, in London in 2012, and so on.
