This forum is free for everyone as long as the questions and topics are significant to the boards where you're asking them. There are traders that have started with forex and stocks and they're all discussing their techniques and sharing some of them on the Trading Discussion. Bitcointalk is mainly for Bitcoin and crypto-related discussion, yet you can still discuss and ask questions about fiat and businesses, but this must be done technically. I've read some advice given by members, but might not be exactly what you or the forum wants. Just be technical in asking it wherever you wish to, it should not be obvious.

And on a closer look at what you really want (advice, advertisement and contributions) on what is not crypto-related, no place will fit it best than Services: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0 if you have all it takes. Why not ? Because basically everyone can enter this forum to get the best advice and ideas for matters related to investment and others. There are no certain restrictions for anyone who wants to enter here and get advice for investments, even if it's not for Bitcoin investments.

After all, no one forces everyone to invest in Bitcoin, because everyone here is just trying to give the best advice and make comparisons with several other investments so that people who are looking for investment advice can make choices and plan. investment after knowing some suggestions that can be considered by them. So you can't go wrong if you want to get ideas through this forum, even if you invest outside of crypto.

Crypto is the general for Bitcoin since Altcoin can be considered as crypto too. There’s an Altcoin discussion board which you can talk other crypto investment aside from Bitcoin and Economics board to discuss a general investment discussion that involves fiat.

This forum name as Bitcointalk because this is the forum where Bitcoin last discussed by the founder before he leaves. By that time, There’s no altcoin so the name only focus on Bitcoin because there’s no other crypto to talk about. Crypto is already evolve that produce tons of altcoin which means this forum is already not exclusive on Bitcoin discussion alone.

This is a bitcoin and crypto forum, and as far as I see, people are mainly talking about crypto investment. There is hardly any discussion of other investments like forex or stocks, or real estate. But in addition to discussing crypto investment, we have areas to discuss and share about the economy, politics, and life, and the part where people are most active is gambling. I think it would be great if the forum could add an area to discuss forex or stocks, that's just my wish.

This forum to the best of my knowledge was set up for bitcoin activities not limited to advertisement, marketing, adoption, promotions etc. Onboard this platform one would get more knowledge of bitcoin through asking if questions such as you have done. There are lots of things to do and learn on this platform.
Now back to your question and the answer is YES!  You can get advise from experienced members who have been there and they would guide you through with information, advise and update on how to go about your business. For that of advertisement, it is very much possible because that is another aspect of this platform where Services are rendered for promotion and advertising of products. Just as @mk4 has stated earlier, those boards are meant for that exercise so you can go there and comment on your concerns. So therefore, your questions are very much inline with your enquiries.

It is allowed but what will make it of relevance is that you understood well the desiring boards for doing that, this begins with you being a newbie to first study the forum, know it's rules and regulations, study the boards and their expected line of discussion and post adequately as required by the standard of a good posting ethics, now it does not ends there, you need to be mindful of the content of what you're offering, it must be a genuine and a reliable one, it must not show any trace of spam or troll which could be a waste of time to those coming across it, it must not contain malicious websites, links or any tricky means to launch an attacked.

Years ago, people joined cryptocurrency market by Bitcoin as their first reason. Because years ago, Bitcoin is all and even there are altcoins generated after that, they are not abundant like now so the term crypto market in the past is more narrow than nowadays.

Nowadays, I think people join cryptocurrency market by being exposed either about Bitcoin or altcoins. I somewhat believe that they are more exposed with altcoins and by social media like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube than by traditional forums.

However, after experiencing the market, they will come to a phase of needing to find classic evidence, things from the past or technical advice, they will likely join Bitcointalk. Many posts of Satoshi Nakamoto still have high value today. Satoshi is like a time-traveler.

I prefer this forum to bring more interesting discussions than on other platforms including google search too, here can interact faster than other users to discuss more sustainable investments, I often on economics boards, speculation and Bitcoin discussions there often discuss even though it's not related to bitcoin, what's not even here? the board has also provided advertisements, so just select and visit what you need, everything is neatly arranged in this forum.

So there are all forms here, for example personal financial problems, discussing loans, investments for beginners and much more, so it's no wonder that many who visit the forum just want to see more detailed forms of discussion.
