There’s a lot of update happened on Bitcoin including hard forks so even if Satoshi has that kind of back door initially set on Bitcoin, I’m sure it’s already gone since the code is open source and there’s a lot of impressive developer that saw and review the code thoroughly.

Any imperfections and mistake are easily be spotted since there’s a lot of eyes watching on Bitcoin and anyone can do what Satoshi can since Bitcoin is open source which means Satoshi doesn’t any exclusive privileges over the Bitcoin code anymore once he released it in the public.

I know that sounds appalling, but do you think that it is possible that he did that? If he did do that, what exactly could he/they have the ability to change with so many people constantly maintaining Bitcoin core? If something like that was ever a possibility could BTC core developers reverse any changes made or prevent? I guess I’m just curious how many security measures are set in place to prevent things like that from every happening. Could they prevent or reverse a 51% attack as well?

Your fears are groundless.
The fact is that so many people would never believe in Bitcoin if its code was unavailable for viewing. Nevertheless, the full project code is posted on github. Programmers of C++, Python and other programming languages have studied every line, thanks to this, understanding how to make other cryptocurrencies has become easier!
Therefore, Satoshi is not an attacker, and of course, cannot seize control of Bitcoin.

to the best of my knowledge from what i've read bitcoin is an open source project, and it's hard to put a backdoor in place. and it cannot be changed and changes anything on the bitcoin blockchain even though it is the founder, because as we know bitcoin has a decentralized network

Your question is confusing but I got what you meant by other others forum members. It is impossible to have a back door, since Satoshi made it an open source project where nobody can manipulate it.

It is only the centralized system, which are closed source that can be manipulated due to the third party involved. Bitcoin is different, and the network cant be controlled, that is why it has survived since Satoshi launched it till date

I guess the only thing that could stop it in the future is like this crazy powerful AI that can hack all the computers using bitcoin core all at once to change something? Even that sounds farfetched, but I suppose something like that could happen. Hmmmm now im curious what it would take for that to actually become reality.

I don't think satoshi will leave something like that before disappearing. If ever satoshi planted something like that, It would have been exploited already given that the price jumps up and it is open source. I believe that satoshi wouldn't risk the amount of work he put by doing something foolish like this. If somehow satoshi is after the money, I believe that it would be more easy for him to open his wallets which has a stack of BTC waiting for him to be used. It's not that worthy doing his best and alter bitcoin.
