$450 is a very small investment these days. By some very optimistic scenarios Bitcoin will reach ~$200,000 during the next cycle, so a ~x10 increase from the current price level. Will having $4,500 instead of $450 radically chance your life? Don't think so. If you bought 1 Bitcoin for $450 seven years ago, and held till now, that could have been life-changing. This is not to make you feel any regrets, but to illustrate that the market is no longer as fast growing as it used to be.

A 16 year old doesn't have to think of this cycle as his goal. Being so young he's got enough time to look at 2028/9 target. That's also what I'm waiting for since that's probably going to coincide with my retirement goals. I'd like to retire in my 40s and start spending some money, so this bull market isn't what I'm waiting for. I could easily wait if waiting meant 200 000 USD bitcoin by 2030.

I believe you OP, you don't have to prove anything. I have more BTC than you and I don't feel like proving it. If people don't believe me, even better. They won't suspect anything Cheesy

Keep holding and with bitcoin you'll always have some backup money to fall back to when things go bad. Save it.

The forum can be harsh to newbies when they suspect foul play. It wasn’t the best welcome but you will adjust to the way things are here soon enough. There is no need to provide personal information on the internet, this is an online forum and anyone can be identify as whatever they desire. Congratulations OP, getting into bitcoin at 16 is impressive. I think your interest in bitcoin puts you at a advantage in today’s world that’s moving towards metaverse and digital assets.

Focus on relevant issues, like your means of storing your bitcoins and how best to set up your investment plan, not your age. It doesn't matter how old you are and anyone who matters does not care.

• This is an online forum and there e bound to be trolls and users who tick you off. Grow a thick skin and learn how not to be affected by what anonymous people tell you online.

• Keep your investment private. Do not expose to anyone how much you invested as it's not relevant public information.

• Avoid non reputable platforms for storing your bitcoins.

Ok since I've revealed a little too much info should I just make another account with no link whatsoever to both this account and my other account? I'm not sure what a hacker can do with my name and stuff but idk I think I might just make another account sometime and just abandon this one. I pretty much accomplished my goal of getting basic info about btc and getting advice so making another account would prob be the best and safest way for me from now on. If I don't make another message bye everyone, it was great knowing all of you, and thank you for the advice.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

edit: the migration to a new account will be quiet. Currently, I'm trying to get my account anonymized so my name isn't on the site anymore. also, I am the one who posted this thread I forgot to use my other account lol.

This is my new account, I've locked the other discussion. I cannot provide solid proof I'm a 16-year-old or that I even own the bitcoin in the first place. I'll repeat what I said in the other discussion. 2/3 of my bitcoin is held in the stockpile.com app and the other third is with my dad. I'll talk to him about moving it all into one wallet but as of right now, it's not in one place. A lot of people are asking for proof and I will not and will never provide proof. The only proof I have is me saying I am 16. I will not provide proof sorry if I am sussy but that's tuff you can go somewhere else if I seem fake
There's no need to prove out and its none others business if you are 10 or simply a minor who do own bitcoin because it is a personal thing on which you are the ones who do bought Bitcoins and its your money and its

none others business on what you should gonna do.Why would needing to prove out about your age and on how much you do own or do you really own Bitcoins? It is really just dumb for those people who do ask on.

One thing i would suggest on which if ever you would be storing up your coins + your dads, then it would be better if you do make use of non-custodial wallets.I dont know about
that stockpile.com or something which its never been recommendable on using up those unknown sites or services out there.

I'll talk to him about moving it all into one wallet but as of right now, it's not in one place. Not sure how I'll post proof of me being 16 in a safe way since one of the people in the last thread said it's dangerous to post any videos of myself after I posted them (that's why I deleted the video). Is there any safe way to prove that I'm 16?  Huh Huh
Also is there a reason why it's not safe to post vids of myself?
As said, you're good Michael. No need to post any video of yours just to prove that you're 16. Who cares with our age in here?

We're up for sharing knowledge and not our personal lives but sometimes, there are folks that are wanting to share their personal lives and it's their choice. On your case, it's not that really needed to share it.

All the information you've mentioned and given are already enough to start a discussion. One thing that you can apply about privacy is the same as remaining lowkey.
Keep your privacy as much as you can. You don’t need to share your personal video or disclose about your personal life as you allow others to attack you in the future. Remember that you are hodling bitcoin, as much as bitcoin is decentralized, then you should know also  how to be a responsible investor and hodler and keep the security of your coin. In case you allow others to know that you are a bitcoin hodler, knowing how high the value of  bitcoin is, then they will start eyeing you as their new target for scamming.

It looks like he wanna get credit of being into bitcoin at an earlier age. If we try to explore it is possible to find good number of kids into bitcoin. This is quite common and by this age there are bitcoin millionaires. Anyhow what he have done is appreciable, though the investment isn't that big. There are large user groups without the knowledge of bitcoin, among them at an younger age having the knowledge about bitcoin is something positive on him.

Thank you everyone for the replies and stuff. It's a relief that I don't need to provide proof haha I was starting to get worried that I was gonna get banned cuz everyone thought I was fake. Most likely I'll just make a new account cuz this one has some personal stuff on it and I kinda want to be anon. Bye everyone thanks for the feedback and stuff I will prob never talk on this account ever again after this final message. Bye.

I'm trying to get my other account deleted. Sadly theymos has not been online since yesterday so I can't rip.
How would an account be deleted? No way. Are you certain of that? perhaps having your account locked. If the forum has banned your other account, proceed with caution. If so, you are no longer allowed to access this forum. Because admin banned you, not confined to your account. However, you should make a request for your account in the Meta section. Also, being 16 is not a reason to lock or ban your account.

I don't think his account was banned I believe I saw a thread at the meta seeking for a change of name and I think it belongs to Op. I think he was requesting the change because the account contains his last name his request hasn't been granted and I'm not sure if theymos is going to grant it, but other users did suggest that he should delete all his post and proceed to creating a new account and I guess that's the reason for this account now.

But the fact that he's trying to tell the whole world his age and how much he has invested in Bitcoin if it's not just a made up lie though just doesn't add up, no one cares who you are and how old you are and btw we have so many people that are way younger than Op in the forum and have also invested more than Op has invested and still haven't said anything about it. I think Op should learn to keep somethings to himself, there are things that should be mentioned outside and others that are supposed to be kept confidential and Op needs to learn them fr.

Edit: I think the name has been changed to "mxfwzzwizqbz"
