If $300 worth of bitcoin is given to someone who doesn't have a job and have been looking for opportunity to invest in bitcoin.  Will it be possible for the person to focus on this investment without selling at the moment because of the present financial situation. I'm asking this question because of people who wish to gift bitcoin to people who are going through difficult financial challenge,  is there any need to give bitcoin as gift to people who need money to settle urgent financial problems.

Or bitcoin should only be given to those who can truly invest and yield profits.  Can you gift bitcoin to random people who may not make profit from it.

This might not be the case of everyone but for me whenever I gift something to a person and as soon as the person receives the gift I take my mind off that thing what ever happens after on is no longer my business, but since we are talking about Bitcoin and how well will the person that's to receive it as a gift do with it.
Since you mentioned that the person is going through some financial crisis so it's very likely that he/she is going to sell it to settle the issue at hand. But you wouldn't know now unless you have tried him with other gifts in the past how he went about with them, but for now all the response you'll get will just be based on assumptions.

Op, I think you should gift him the Bitcoin and then take your mind off of it. after all a gift is gift it's not something that's meant to be monitored by the giver.

If he is not interested in bitcoins, he will not be looking for opportunities to invest in bitcoins but maybe he will accept a bitcoin gift from you or someone else. People who don't have a job will focus on finding a job first rather than investing because they don't have money to invest yet.

I once gave him a bitcoin gift of 0.005 BTC when the bitcoin price was under $5,000 and he still has it. It's like he doesn't care when the bitcoin price has reached $60k because I already told him to sell it at that price but he only does it the next day. But till now, he didn't and still kept the bitcoins.

I don't think there's a general answer to this question, because it really depends on the person and the situation. I personally gave away bitcoins only to friends and acquaintances who were already involved in the cryptocurrency space or at least familiar with the concept and expressed their interest. I did this because I wanted to spread the word about Bitcoin and help my friends get involved.

I think it's important that the person you're giving bitcoins to has some interest and experience with cryptocurrencies already. They're unlikely to appreciate the gift if they don't understand or care about it. If a friend or family member does not have any interest in bitcoin, then you should probably buy them something else.

Someone who does not have a job,and is also looking for opportunity to invest, first have to check his priorities,if he has a problem that 300 dollars can solve he will rather solve it to putting it on long time investment, but mean while if the funds can be split,by putting some in investment and the other to solve problem,is also a good one..Generally as a person if I gift a person bitcoin,I would not bother how the person uses it,but I will be glad to see that the coin have added value to the person.

Investing an asset is only possible when one has the capital to do so. Someone without a job should prioritize getting sources to earn an income and not how to invest is a high risk asset like bitcoin.
Without an income column, there cannot be as asset column.

Or bitcoin should only be given to those who can truly invest and yield profits.  Can you gift bitcoin to random people who may not make profit from it.
You should gift someone based on their perceived needs. If they have interest in bitcoin, you can introduce them to the forum so they learn the basics while looking for ways to grow their income column.

For the unemployed, giving them $300 won't solve their problem because the investment can't generate an immediate return or will always provide them with a return. While what they need is daily living expenses, so I think they will sell bitcoin if you give it to them. If you are really willing to help them, you should first find them a job that generates income, then talk to him about investing and give him some initial capital if you are rich.

Imho, It’s nonsense to gift someone that fits to your description with financial situation  a money that they can’t use to their current situation because they will not appreciate things that they can’t feel or experienced especially if they don’t understand wth you are gifting to them.

I think splitting the 300$ to 150$ in fiat cash and 150$ Bitcoin is more appropriate because you can help your friend to deal with his current finance problem and at the same time help him for his future investment. I’m sure that he will not touch it since people that new on things that involves money tends to leave it as is and just wait the person that gift him to help him cash it out to convert in fiat.

Entirely depends on the person you've given it too, but most often that not the person will sell it, especially if they don't have any interest in Bitcoin. Honestly, if you wanted to help a friend out, and get them out of their current situation there's better ways of doing it. For example, helping them find a job or something like that. Bitcoin isn't always the answer, as much as we'd like Bitcoin to be the answer to everything, it really isn't.

Plus, gifting someone some Bitcoin without actually teaching them about it, could be potentially dangerous due to the fact that they could lose it through not managing it correctly. Personally, I'd stick to more conventional ways of helping friends out rather than using Bitcoin as a means to do it.

The question is really amazing. Okay, a little insight from me for you that you can give Bitcoin to anyone who has a wallet to receive it properly and the problem here is do people with difficult financial conditions already have a wallet to receive gifts in the form of Bitcoin? And one more thing is if they don't know about Bitcoin or don't know Bitcoin at all, I don't think it's any good if you give Bitcoin to them because they don't know how to cash it.

Quote

Those who are experiencing financial difficulties and are experiencing a difficult life with great urgency will certainly not use the Bitcoin you provide for investment. Because they will definitely exchange Bitcoin for fiat to meet their urgent needs and will solve their difficulties first before using the rest to invest and even then if there is still some left. But if the rest is not there, they have to use other capital to invest in Bitcoin or any investment that they understand and are happy with.

Yeah, small gifts, almost faucet like also don't really help. They can't sell it, can't buy it, unless it's a micro transaction like a small tip or "rain" on a gambling site. You also might worsen the dust problem (or is it a problem?).

Gifts have to have a really good educational reason, I feel. Or following genuine interest.

Plus, gifting someone some Bitcoin without actually teaching them about it, could be potentially dangerous due to the fact that they could lose it through not managing it correctly. Personally, I'd stick to more conventional ways of helping friends out rather than using Bitcoin as a means to do it.

Yeah, I tried something different the last gift I made. Sort of made it a puzzle of seed phrase, which if they solved, they could restore the wallet containing the btc. Definitely not to help someone out, more like to help along actual interest.

for those who need money urgently for the necessities of life, giving them Bitcoins only for them to use for a short time. because financially they are not yet at the level to save assets. it will be different if Bitcoin is in someone who already can meet their needs.
do not force people to withhold Bitcoins that you may give to those who are desperate to make ends meet. even if all they have is an old bicycle if that is all they have and have to sell it for money. then they will.

If the receiver of that gift is in financial troubles, it's not going to take a long time that that person will have to sell it. Trust me, when someone is in need of money and he doesn't have anything left.

Anything in their possession will be sold just to sustain their needs.

Even if you want them to learn about bitcoin if they're called by their needs, nothing can stop them from selling it as soon as possible when it urges them to be sold.

Of course, those who do not have money to live for a day or a week do not need bitcoin. And giving him a similar amount in bitcoin is equivalent to giving him an ordinary fiat. I think in this situation, you can just give money. But if a person is interested in bitcoin and has even taken the first steps towards learning about it, such a gift will be a good motivation for learning, of course, with further guidance on proper handling and storage.

Gifting out Bitcoin to people in need is a good example of hospitality. It will help the alot.

Now after you have given out those bitcoins to such persons, it is now up to them what they decide to use it for. Yes you no longer have any business with the token given out. Now, unless the receiver has interest in Bitcoin trading or investment the only thing you can do for them, is to coach them.

On the other hand, I don't really think it is necessary to give Bitcoins to people in need of money to settle financial stress as this will mean no value to them. You can just give them cash to help settle their financial stress or show them how to convert the Bitcoin to cash.

I think he will definitely sell it which is probably going to keep the $ 300 while he is in financial trouble so whatever money he gets will definitely be converted into fiat and become a need for him while urgent, while people who invest in bitcoin are people who are ready with emergency funds it is likely that he will definitely sell if you give $300 bitcoin to him especially since he doesn't have a job as an income that is his need.

But it's up to you after giving it whether you want to invest it to make long-term money or become an urgent need of the recipient.
This is not deposit money, if the reason is to give then the recipient is free to do what he wants.

Your question comes into two because you first of all said someone looking to invest to in bitcoin but is jobless. If need comes for help to start investing in bitcoin then the amount is not bad to start up. The person should decide whether to invest it or do otherwise but since he wants to venture into invest and as been jobless then he might have his ways or other side hustle to help him.

As for those sending bitcoin as aid to help people in financial difficulties, I don’t see anything bad because bitcoin is just like our currency and could be converted outrightly by the needy to local fiat (that’s if the person has bitcoin knowledge). Most people send bitcoin because of the stress involved in cross boarder transactions like converting between two country currencies. With bitcoin it is quite easy to ease someone’s financial burden in other country without undergoing such process

If someone is going through a financial problem with an immediate need of fund, I wouldn't gift bitcoin to him because that won't solve the urgent need. Rather I will try to gift him money which he can immediately use to support the situation.

Bitcoin gifting can be done when someone has time to hold onto it and not in need of an emergency fund. This way the person can do his own research before taking a decision of either selling or holding it.

It's not much of a gift if you put limitations on what they can do with it.

Think of it this way -- you can give them $300 and they can buy some satoshis, or you can give them satoshis and they can sell them for $300. It is the same either way, right?

How do you settle financial problems by holding bitcoin?
Like, from what you've stated in OP, the issues is an immediate challenge that needs to be settled urgently. How then would you do that by holding your bitcoin? It just doesn't work.

The best you might have archived by gifting someone bitcoin to solve immediate financial challenge is, you've offered money to solve a problem and you did that in the easiest or quick way possible to you and possibly the receiver.

When it comes to reasons as to why people might gift bitcoin, it will always vary from persons to persons and aside from the fact that, the currency here is bitcoin, it is the same as every other gift. The difference remains in its nature.

Well if the person that you are going to gift bitcoin hasn't had a job, then what are the chances that he won't sell it after you give it to him?

So I will be on the fence here, although your intention is good, but he might be tempted in the future to sell it to bring food in the table for him and for his family, just saying.

Or bitcoin should only be given to those who can truly invest and yield profits.  Can you gift bitcoin to random people who may not make profit from it.

Again, it really depends on the individual, if the person knows a thing or two about investment then maybe he will treat bitcoin as such. But if the one that you gifted see bitcoin as money, then he might not hold for a long time.

Bitcoin may not be the best option when it comes to helping someone out of a tough situation. While it ultimately depends on the individual, in many cases, they may choose to sell it, especially if they are not interested in Bitcoin. And, in some cases, they might not know how to go about it.

There are other ways to support a friend, family member, or loved one who is struggling. It may not be as flashy as sending them a lump sum of dollars, but it can make more of a difference in their lives. But, if you are looking to help someone out and give them some money, there are plenty of other options that may be better suited for their needs. For example, if the person is having trouble paying their bills and needs help with utilities or rent, cash is always a great option.

Once the gift have reached the receiver's hands it belongs to him. Further it is his choice whether to use it for some need or hold it. We should not take it to mind. If you find a friend is in difficulty you may help him with bitcoin or some financial settlement. Here you can give suggestion to make use of the money in the right way and don't spend it unnecessary. The money you've given is yours and you're giving it to help him and overcome the situation. When he turns strong he's gonna repay it and a gift isn't the same.

the average would probably do the same thing, cashing in bitcoins to fiat, whereas the main purpose of being given bitcoins is for them to understand what bitcoins are and how to use them. Education is needed before giving bitcoin to people who have never used bitcoin or are new to bitcoin. Tell about greater returns in the long term. Giving a gift that is too big will indeed be risky, but it depends on who the recipient is. To encourage bitcoin adoption to become more widespread, there is no need to give away too many bitcoins, the most important thing is how education about bitcoin can be conveyed and can make brands inspired and finally use bitcoin.

I believe it will be difficult for someone who is truly in need of money to hold bitcoin, why would you need money and you are having bitcoin in your wallet, and not sell it? I believe if the person truly needs money, he or she will sell it and use the money.

Assume the person you gave the bitcoin to is suffering from some health issues and does not have the financial means to visit a hospital. If you give the person bitcoin, he or she will certainly sell it to take care of himself.
Nonetheless, some people will hunt for alternatives and will never sell bitcoin, but I believe it depend on everyone's thinking and the situation in which they find themselves.

When you do tend to gift someone then its up to them whether they would be using or cashing it out or would be tending to hold no matter what. You should not make yourself that tending to involved on whatever they would go into your gift but if your purpose was to make someone learn about bitcoin or crypto opportunity then it would be good that you would really be at least having the time on explaining it to them on what they had recieved and if they do still decide to sell then there's nothing we can do.

Whom you would decide to give some bitcoin gifts btw? Random people or some friends?

if we provide assistance in the form of bitcoins to someone who is unemployed, it is very likely that these bitcoins will be sold because he definitely needs costs to live on a daily basis, because what he needs most is a job that guarantees he can earn an income. meet their daily needs.

There is always be two theories in your case
The first one
The person to you have gifted the bitcoin will sell right away to get hard cash and forget about it.
The second one
Will try to understand what the bitcoin is although he might test it out to sell some of it. and reinvest.

I mean if I were you I will give to someone who doesn't have a job and have been looking for opportunity to invest in bitcoin and tell them the basic I do believe he/she will reinvest and make the 300$ worth

Using Bitcoin as a gift for me is more likely we are introducing Bitcoin to other people like advertising because let's say if you give a gift to a person who doesn't know Bitcoin, he/she will become curious and that's the time they will research what is Bitcoin, how it works, etc. Or even they will start to keep asking questions about Bitcoin to you which for me is a good act of promoting Bitcoin to other people.

Whether they have financial difficulty or not, you can still gift bitcoin to anyone, but you don't expect from them that they can make a profit from it easily, as others are still learning bitcoin and how they can make more from it, and others also just hold it for a long period of time. It is just that if you gift it to a jobless person, the possibility of him using it is high as he needs money to spend for his needs, unless he is very wise and will invest or like trade it to make it more

There's nothing wrong in helping others. In this case, you want to give Bitcoin to somebody that doesn't have a job and want to use Bitcoin to settle their financial problems right? It's good, but there's a better option for that and it's kind off contradicting that you said on your first sentence that "someone want to invest into Bitcoin" while in the final sentence, you said that someone will use Bitcoin "to settle urgent financial matters". Which is which?

If you will giving that $300 worth of Bitcoin to somebody and decided to hold it then good, but if you will give $300 worth of Bitcoin to somebody and then he will just use it for financial problems then it might be better if you will just give him straight cash. No hassle of converting and cashing out etc.

Bitcoin can be given to anyone without any discrimination whatsoever. You can give Bitcoin to a beggar on the side of the street waiting for anybody to give them money. You can give it to your children if you wanted to. Why hand-pick somebody? It will now depend on the receiver if how will he use that Bitcoin. Will he convert that Bitcoin and buy some stuff? Will he hold it and take profit a few years from now?

Given the situation that this someone has no job, I don't think he can refrain from selling because of his financial status. Without any resources to earn money aside from Bitcoin you gave for investment then it would be hard to focus. Moreover since he got his Bitcoin as gift and not from his own hard work, it's a reason for someone to sell it easily.

Or bitcoin should only be given to those who can truly invest and yield profits.  Can you gift bitcoin to random people who may not make profit from it.
Well, this depends on the sender.  If you like to share your Bitcoin then it's up to you because you can give it to anyone as your way to help someone or spread awareness regardless of what they're going to do with the Bitcoin you gave as gift.

Maybe it's worth giving to someone looking for an opportunity to make money so they can put it to good use but they have a lot to learn about how to use those bitcoins.
But if bitcoin worth of that is going to be used as an investment, I think that person will look for other sources of income because he needs money to live.
It would be even better if that person wants to learn more about investing in bitcoin to understand and benefit from the investment.
But I don't think I would give bitcoins to random people who maybe don't know much about them because they can't get the benefits yet.

Gifting bitcoin seems like a noble thing to do but this is not that easy as it sounds. The person whom you are gifting may not understand the importance of Bitcoin, may not live in a country which allows bitcoin to be spent or maybe against bitcoin.

You would first have to get these things cleared with the recipient before you send them anything at all.

Those who are actually interested in Bitcoin would rather buy it directly then hope for someone to gift it to them.

There is probably no definite answer to this question.

I wouldn't give bitcoin to a person who doesn't care about it and who doesn't even have a clue what it is.

You mentioned that a person is going through a difficult financial situation, so I think he will just sell this bitcoin. Then why complicate it, just give him the money.

Yes of course, because it's already mentioned that he is looking forward to investing in Bitcoin but we all have the same reason on why we invest in Bitcoin and that is because for the profit so in case the price shoots up right after you gift the Bitcoin, your friend might still be encourage of selling some portions of the BTC if not all. This is better than completely missing the opportunity because you know a bull run can sometimes be elusive.

At the end of the day, it was still up to you if what rules you are going to apply to your friend because it was still your money not his. Also, It will be better if you can give a little amount of BTC and give a portion of cash assistance so that those people won't touch their BTC for a while.

Gifts are good, especially when they are given from a place of love. And bitcoin serves as the perfect gift for people who fall into the following categories: 1) probitcoiners without bitcoin 2) those who would love to invest but do not have enough bitcoin. In the example given by the OP, gifting someone who has no experience in bitcoin trading or investing $300 worth of bitcoin is like giving a 2023 Bentley Bentayga EWB to a child. What do you expect a 4-year-old kid to do with it? If I were able to gift $300 worth of bitcoin to a novice, I would spend $150 teaching the individual how to turn $150 into $300 with bitcoin. When I have achieved this objective, I will go further to instruct the individual on diversification of portfolio or investments.

Nice speaking, I believe that giving someone who is in need of money to settle their financial problems a job first is the best way to help, because not everyone knows about bitcoin and understands it, and he or she may be scammed in such a way, and the dumplings of bitcoin and its market may also affect, so my opinion here is that you should rather give money and a job to someone in need of money to solve their problems.

I don't think that a person who doesn't have a job will help in any way.If he is experiencing financial difficulties,he will sell bitcoin anyway to solve his problem. In addition,if a person does not understand how to use cryptocurrency,he will only spend time studying the principle itself.I think it's worth investing only if there are extra finances and not when there are difficulties.

I have to be honest it gave me a bit of humor, your context, but, please! If you give away a fishing rod and the person who receives it has no passion for fishing and throws it into a corner, then the question is not to give away the fishing rod, because you like to fish, it is to teach how to fish.

If I've confused you, I won't gift you the fishing rod, don't worry.

Although, it is worth asking yourself, what is bitcoin the fishing rod or just the fish?

what is your reason for gifting bitcoin? bitcoin.

I mean if someone is in trouble, you might just gift them cash if they are in need of it. If you give them bitcoin, they will take decision based on their emotion when they are in trouble. Also not to mention, if they are trying to find an opportunity, then give them little amount to start from. When they show a positive result, then you can give them the rest. And one thing I want to ask, does he have proper knowledge about bitcoin and its risks? Or he is just a newbie?

If $300 worth of bitcoin is given to someone who doesn't have a job and have been looking for opportunity to invest in bitcoin.  Will it be possible for the person to focus on this investment without selling at the moment because of the present financial situation. I'm asking this question because of people who wish to gift bitcoin to people who are going through difficult financial challenge,  is there any need to give bitcoin as gift to people who need money to settle urgent financial problems.

Or bitcoin should only be given to those who can truly invest and yield profits.  Can you gift bitcoin to random people who may not make profit from it.
My main reason would be (never done it yet) to show that I care about their financial situation and their future at the same time. You do not gift people money if they are already rich, makes no sense because they already have so much. You gift them money if they are not doing alright, in which case if you give fiat in cash that could be a little bit humiliating for them, nobody would want to accept that, not unless they are in dire situation.

But if you gift them bitcoin, you are disguising your money gift to help them as a tech improvement, like somehow you are promoting bitcoin to them and that would be not a hand out but like a gift while also helping your friend.

If you gift bitcoin to a person who is in a financial crisis, what will he do? For sure, he will want to spend the bitcoin and for that purpose, he will convert his bitcoin into fiat. A person who needs money will not be able to save bitcoins for future investment purposes.
So in my opinion, if your intention is to gift bitcoin so that he may keep it safe in his wallet, then you should find a person who is financially strong and has no urgent need for money.

In general, when I would gift bitcoin to anyone, my intention will be to increase the adoption of bitcoin as when another person will get some bitcoins he will be curious to know more about bitcoin.

Every person has a different situation. If the receiver was able to find another resource to spend on his expenses without selling Bitcoin, that would be great as Bitcoin is one of the best investments in this age. In my opinion, gifting Bitcoin is more like gifting gold, you shouldn't sell it unless you suffer Compelling circumstances. Apart from this, one of the reasons for someone to gift Bitcoin is the ease of sending it, so the sender might see it difficult to convert it to fiat then buy something with it. One more reason, the sender could be a big fan of Bitcoin and want the get one of his beloved people into it.

Anyone can be gifted with a bitcoin but it all depends if the person has the knowledge about bitcoin or has heard about it before because you just gift a bitcoin to a random fellow who doesn't have the knowledge on how it's being handled. However if you wanna gift bitcoin to someone it should be that you have at least impacted some knowledge to him or she on how to safeguard his bitcoin.

In my viewpoint, no matter what it is a gift is a gift and it's no more in the ambit of the gifter to have control over how and what it's been used on by the receiver except otherwise. Otherwise I'm the sense that there was a mutual agreement between the gifter and the receiver on what purpose the gift is meant for and how it should be expended out such parameters of initial mutual understanding a gifter shouldn't in anyway concern his or herself about what and how the gift was spend whether bitcoin or whatever it is.
If I gift a person a certain fraction of bitcoin and the person decides to invest with it, fine, if he decides to sell it off and use it to solve his problems still fine by me. My commitment was to give and nothing short of that.

You are right, for the unemployed, what is needed is money and a job to solve the difficult problem at hand. They would never think of investing because everyone knows investing is risky and not immediately profitable. If it were me, I would also sell those bitcoins to get money to spend on necessities, an investment that I only think about when I have savings.

I can assume that those people who are experiencing financial difficulties will immediately sell bitcoin gifted to them. When such urgent financial difficulties arise, it becomes not up to investment. In this case, you can help them with money, and when their financial condition stabilizes, then you can give them bitcoin.

Bitcoin can be given to everyone, for that matter. It just depends on your preference. The question is: how will they manage it. Some will spend immediately, others will leave for the future. Based on your observations and decide who exactly to give.

First of all, if you can afford to buy a lot of bitcoins, I think you can do it by giving bitcoins to people in financial need. Why would you give bitcoin to someone you are hesitant to do so?

It's different because we help happily and cheerfull at our will and not wait for a return or exchange for the help we will do. Another thing is that we are not obligated to give bitcoins to homeless people, as long as you can only give what you can, that's what you should do.

BIG WINNER!

Lately I’ve been seeing some random strange amounts of BTC hitting my wallet. It looks like someone operating a mixer occasionally drops a couple bucks to my address for whatever reason. I guess because I’ve been vocal about coin mixers being money laundering operations. Anyway, I usually just gift the coins to someone else and my most common target is the Free Ross charity.

Indeed, gifting Bitcoin to friends or family means that you are introducing them to it. So, you can gift Bitcoin to your loved ones in need. If someone is going through a financial crisis and is unable to invest in Bitcoin even though they are aware of it, give them small quantity of  bitcoin. Regardless of the quantity, they will undoubtedly be happy to see you. A fantastic gift would also be to teach someone about Bitcoin if they are unaware of it. Whatever the case, even if there is no financial crisis. They would, nevertheless, have a bright future.

You should not be bothered about what is done with a gift, if it is your real intention with the gift. The goal of a gift is not to force someone to hoard it, so that they can make a huge profit or to meet the gifters goal.

I gave bitcoins to many of my friends and family for Xmas and for their birthdays and most of them sold it or used it .. I know this, because I have the Bitcoin addresses and I can track the coins.  Roll Eyes

I may seem like a bit of a cruel person, but I believe that it is necessary to help only those people who need money to become independent themselves. As they say: give a man a fish and he will be full one day, give a man a fishing rod and he will be full all his life. You can't just give money away, you need to train and show the way to development. And it is necessary to do eo in relation only to close people, strangers will never appreciate this.

Or bitcoin should only be given to those who can truly invest and yield profits.  Can you gift bitcoin to random people who may not make profit from it.
If you have bitcoin to gift to a maybe a friend, I don't think it really makes sense to begin to check whether such a person can hold it or not, Bitcoin is money and can be spent, it is not just meant to hold, like for example, you cant expect someone who have bitcoin somewhere, and keep holding it while they are looking for money to get drugs for some serious ailment they must treat, Bitcoin is money and we save money so that money can save us in critical times.

If I had bitcoin to dash out to a friend who is jobless, I wouldn't mind what they do with it, if he or she have other means of survival and decide to keep the bitcoin - good for him, but if he or she decides to sell to meet ends meet, that's his or her cup of tea

I think there is a misconception here, and it is mostly expressed by newbies. People gifting others is a normal thing, it’s either the gift is financial, material or kind so long as it’s regarded as gift from the sender and the receiver.

To me sending bitcoin as a gift can be considered as a financial gifting and not an investment plan from the sender.  Most bitcoin enthusiast find it a thing of joy using bitcoin and sending bitcoin as a gift is the equivalent of its monetary value.

If $300 worth of bitcoin is given to someone who doesn't have a job and have been looking for opportunity to invest in bitcoin.
The first priority for someone who does not have a job should be how to get a job to get by the day and be able to pay their bills and not what to invest. You can not be saving when you are hungry, you have to be well fed to make good long term investments. For you the gifter, if you must give a gift to someone who you know needs a job, money to start up something can be a good place to start or if it within your capacity to use your influence and get them a job, then an employment letter will be best.

I completely agree, but there are many institutions that encourage it. I even read that some municipalities in the United States pay their employees in BTC. it's a new and emerging technology that has the potential to revolutionize the financial sector, and the more people understand it, the more they can benefit from it. So, while we should be cautious when gifting Bitcoin, we should also try to encourage those around us about this exciting technology.

Or bitcoin should only be given to those who can truly invest and yield profits.  Can you gift bitcoin to random people who may not make profit from it.

To be honest when you mention that the person who would receive it are jobless how do you think that they could focus on investment when they are already struggling to survive?
Only those who have enough could focus on investment but if you don't have a job or source of income even if you have an investment on crypto it would just be spent up little by little because of your basic needs.

If the situation is like this, I am not sure that he will not sell the Bitcoin, moreover, they are jobless and don't have money, or they have financial problems What they need is the money to help them continue their life by buying food. they may not need the investment at that time because what they need is the cash to be able to buy some food or do something with the money in that urgent situation. So, I am not sure that they will only focus on the investment. But, it will depend on certain situations and individuals. However, in this situation, I think that most people will sell Bitcoin.

the first question here is that (How can he managed to survive as you clearly say He has No JOB at all"? this is something like tricky and not related question for me.

I invest in bitcoin and also trade because I have my full time job and use this market as extra provider.

also if you are going to gift a person with financial problem then the chance of Him holding this will be 10-20% and he might sell this right away after being accepted .

It depends on the condition of the person himself because if he really doesn't have a job or steady income and doesn't have any interest in bitcoin then he will most likely want it to be money rather than a form of investment. the reason is simple because indeed he will use it for his daily needs.
Conditions like this are the most likely to occur because indeed seeing from the condition that he does not have a job and a steady income it is already visible even though there is a possibility that he will invest but that is only a few percent of the 100 percent possibility he will cash out it.

The possibility to invest is very low. When it comes to survival or investment, the first preference will be to survival. Whether its you, me or the friend everyone prefer survival. Next part, the friend is jobless, so he's in need of money. Maybe if someone can fulfill his daily bread, he may think of investment/saving. When there is no such chance he'll make use of something available with him.

A person moves into investment/saving when he have got excess amount with him after fulfilling his needs. Here the person is in need and by that time expecting him to invest what you gift is unfair. When we gift something, we shouldn't think of what he does with it.

People say mostly that the gesture is what is more important than the gift given, but the gift given is also just as important as the gesture. There are thoughtful gifts that can be given to people who already have everything and they will really appreciate it, and there are thoughtful gifts for those who do not have everything and require/need some specific things. For every category of person, you have to know the right gift to give so your gift and gesture becomes more appreciated. Bitcoin is not always the appropriate gift to give to every individual, you have to be thoughtful as to what the person really needs before gifting.

Ninety percent of people will immediately cash out such a present and spend it on needs or luxury, while they will forget such a gesture. Therefore, the giver should explain what Bitcoin is, why its price changes, and how it was created in general. Nevertheless, I consider it a good gift. After all, this is gold, albeit digital.

To be honest when you mention that the person who would receive it are jobless how do you think that they could focus on investment when they are already struggling to survive?
Only those who have enough could focus on investment but if you don't have a job or source of income even if you have an investment on crypto it would just be spent up little by little because of your basic needs.

He would really sell that off because he needs money. So it would be better to give them cash as they need  it  so it would be better to give them cash as they need money. It would be best to gift bitcoin to those who really want to venture out into the world of bitcoin, as they will for sure keep it until they want it. If you give it to the unemployed, they will not think of it as an investment, as they need to buy food just to survive each day.

When talking about needs, all of that will be done and indeed, as you said when talking about preferences, it is clear that basic needs will take precedence over those who cannot support their needs, so surely they will choose not to be able to invest rather than not being able to eat.

On the other hand, I also agree when I say that people who can invest are those who can indeed be said to have enough conditions where their needs in life are sufficiently met because sometimes their thoughts are not towards investing. let alone think for the long term that they can no longer do.

If they are in need of money, and you gift them money, the chance that they spend it all away and come back to the state of poverty is very high. While a handful can be expected to be saving that money but you would be better off teaching them how to earn money than giving them money. Even then if they don't learn, then you can rest knowing that you have done your part.

Don't just hand over your coins to someone who has nothing. If they are in need only then give but keep it as limited as possible. Don't expect it back and observe if they learn a lesson.
