I picked Verstappen for pole position and he was a big favourite for that as well. But here we are seeing him being out of the challenge in Q2 already. This is a motorsport and everything can change anytime. He had a serious problem with engine and couldn't continue later on. I thought Alonso wouldn't be on podium in the BSFL as well but now he has a big chance to go for it.

Leclerc also got a grid penalty of 10 places as you know. Things are going on really interesting on this race week so far.

I also had Verstappen picked up for pole position and honestly did not expect the people who are in top ten,despite me being happy for Piastri who made a great performance this time for McLaren making them starting from the first top ten tomorrow.I am also not changing my picks as I am happy with just 2 EBP points.Things for tomorrow look complicated and that is why I choose to not change anything,I expect a beautiful race for tomorrow and wonder what is the odd of Verstappen winning it,most likely Redbull will fix their things up and they can win the race if they are helped by some Safety Car for example.

I want just to enjoy this season of F1 a little more so having Verstappen at 15 at start will make a season a little more interested. I have same opinion like you.

agree, it will be more fun to watch Max and LeClerc trying to get into top3 from these positions, than watching boring race resolved after first curve
it is never easy to get back from position 15, but I think that Max will be into top6, probably up after first two laps, and than everything is possible

I think we are set in for quite a race tomorrow and with Max starting on back of the grid , I still see him having a recovery race and maybe even finish 3rd because let's be honest , he still has the faster car on the grid. However, I would like to see Alonso vs Perez for fight tomorrow and maybe , if Alonso wins , he will break 2 of Kimi's records and I doubt anyone will break this old age records anytime soon.

Anyone also saw the glimpse of Lance almost having a pole lap ? I do see him chasing a podium tomorrow as well but Russel really knows how to place on 3rd or 4th place and never give up , don't he ?    We do really have a great race tomorrow and fans really deserves one without a clear domination from a car.

Yeah it was a really good performance by Piastri to be honest. McLaren were still seeming weak at the beginning of the season. I can't say they have made a big progress still either. But this is still some progress for them and Piastri especially. Because he was out of race in the Bahrain GP which was a disappointing start. But he was just unlucky as it wasn't his fault.

Verstappen's having this problem just eased things for Piastri about making it to Q3. While Norris was struggling in the session at least Piastri gave hope to his team.

I placed him high fourth place in my Superbu predictions but I don't think he can finish that high after hearing his complains, unless this is his strategy and mind games.
If you had to pick one driver not to finish Saudi Arabia Grand Prix who would you pick?

Mmm coming from him you never know, but i think Mercedes its really similar to last year, they cant squeeze all the juice from his car, and they dont find the way to do.

Tomorrow Verstappen dont need to rush in the launch because it can be useless and ended in a crash with low level cars.

I hope to see a interesting pit stop fight.

And one question in my place the race starts at 2 pm so in europe starts like 6 pm,  really strange hours for F1 isn't??

I have gone for some conventional bets and unconventional ones.The conventional ones are Perez to win and Under 16.5 cars to finish the race while for the unconventional I have gone with Aston Martin the team with the most points and McLaren both cars to finish in the points zone.As you see I didn't even care to place a bet on Mercedes and Hamilton because I don't know and I cannot read the performance of Mercedes cars and if I had to pick a driver not to finish in this race I would pick Leclerc or Verstappen as they start in the back of the grid so there are higher chances of collisions for them.

Hey! that we can have a Top3 in the Spanish local language, ,Checo and Alonso, they look comfortable and enjoying the moment, especially Alonso, so I think  they will inspire Sainz, who seems to be on the hunt for the top 3.

Otherwise! if it were another circuit, I think that LEC and VER would have no problem even trying to get into there for the Top3 fight.

Does anybody else think that Verstappen will continue to have mechanical or technical issues at the race?  I still have him finishing first in the race like what we saw last year when he had a grid penalty to I think 12th on the grid.  But as he's stlll using the same power unit, who knows what could happen...  It's gonna be a treat to watch him try and pass all the guys in front of him.  Hamilton, Russell, Leclerc, Sainz and Alonso.    But we'll see.  A DNF for him is also possible imho.

It's not impossible, but I don't think it will be easy with 3 Spanish-speaking riders in the top 3. I have Alonso in 2nd place, the other two places on the podium are Verstappen and Leclerc, but that will be very difficult. But the race is long and there are no defects ruled out.

Maybe it's due to a possible Safety Car, which is likely to be deployed at some point and if it's later in the race, all cars will be bunched up again and Verstappen might have a chance to win.
But as you've said, in normal conditions, Perez should win. Perez isn't bad at street tracks and already last year, he took pole as well and was leading until a Safety Car screwed up his strategy...

For me looks perfectly fine but if we want to include like 8-10 prize spots we can also go down the first prize to 40 and second prize to 30 mBtc and distribute these 21 mBtc to the 7-10 prize which can be 3-5 mBtc this way we increase the number of people who win something here.Of course it is much better when we have bigger prizes but if you have a look at the English Premier League pool you will see that the captain there has gone for like 35% of people to get at least something.If we can do that here also it can greatly increase the interest of participants for next season.

back to race, Max is back to position 2, and Alonso is close to another podium

The race just ended and I found the exact persons on the podium but I would have got the yellow cap if Verstappen was first and Perez second,nevertheless happy that Verstappen did the fastest lap in the end of the race which I think has given me enough points to enjoy for this second race and consolidate my position in the standings of this pool.

While the race was entertaining to watch as Verstappen started 15th I think that we all realized tonight that Redbull is going to win every single race of this season if other cars do not sweat out at work,Redbull was more than one second faster than Aston Martin which was the second fastest car from the field.
