 Is there a way to get your btc wallet back if it is suddenly gone? I have my password and seed but I can't find my old wallet. I just realized this is a different wallet I created (using the same password). What happened to my original wallet? I think I just lost $900 sending it to a wallet I can no longer find.

What that matters most is your seed. Check for the seed on your wallet app if you have more wallets created on it. You need the seed phrase (what you meant as seed) for you to recover the wallet. Or alternatively, if you have the wallet file and have access to it.

Only if you have a backup, or can recover the wallet from your computer.

Your password protects the wallet on your computer, the seed restores the wallet. The password is useless without the wallet.

Where did you get the address you sent your Bitcoins to, if you didn't get it from your wallet?

Question for you, OP:

• What wallet app did you use to create the old wallet?
• Do you save your seeds elsewhere, or do you judt view it in your profile settings when needed?
• Have you ever shared your seed, or used a shared device?

In my mind, you never sent those $900 btc, you just accessed another wallet because of the wrong seed. Try to find the txid of the $900 bitcoin you sent to the old address to see if the balance is still ok.

It doesn't matter if the password and the wallet are gone the important is you have the seed phrase backup you can recover your wallet using that.

You can try to recover your wallet using Electrum if you don't know how to restore your wallet using your seed backup check this guide "Restore your Electrum Wallet from Backup Seed"

If the seed backup was generated from other wallets you can check BIP39 on Electrum while restoring wallet from the seed.
