Even if you ask the experts in the market, they can't give a perfect answer according to your wishes, bitcoin is unpredictable. If you want to hold for the long term, you don't need to be good at technical analysis, do a simple comparison, and compare the current price with the price you want to sell or with the old ATH of bitcoin. You can see that bitcoin is a lot cheaper than the old ATH, so it makes sense to invest at this price. If you fear bitcoin will drop again, don't buy one time but split $5k into 3 parts and buy bitcoin every time bitcoin drops more. We call it dca, learn about DCA then make an investment decision.

I'm trying to calculate my DCA from last 1 year and it returns 25% less difference. More precisely presents a 6% increase, while the correct one has a 32% increase.

The price of Bitcoin is always unpredictable, but making technical analysis for it increases your chances of guessing it. For me, it is not that bad to invest your funds on it in its current price, because you're still gonna make profits once it reaches its last All Time High. If you want, you could do 50:50 purchase, buy now using your $2,500 USD then use the remaining half once it dips in a price you wanted.

It's much better rather than waiting 'till it dips below $20,000 again while you're watching its price skyrocketing.

Since you mentioned you're investing on it for long term which I hope will be atleast 4 years then just invest on it straight away, there might be a dip like it can down to 25K at the same time it can reach 30K in no time so just invest at the current price then wait for the next bull season by that time the value will be atleast 5 times than now in terms of fiat.

Mate, no one here controls the Bitcoins. No one here is the Nostradamus who will exactly predict the price and tell you when to buy or when to not. To be honest 28k usd is not a bad price to buy the coins. Many people have bought the coins when it was around 48k usd, so comparing that you are very lucky that you are able to buy the coins in such a cheap price. Moreover Bitcoins are limited in number, hence they are very much valuable, so they will definitely skyrocket in price. Buy as many coins as you can now, and hold for long term. Definitely you will see great profits in the longer run.

At the end of the day this is your decision and no one can take it for you, it is true the price increase we have been experimenting during the last week was not expected but right now there is no reason to believe the price will go down, so if you have the money, a plan and the desire to buy bitcoin then I do not see the need to wait at all, now it is true you could obtain more bitcoin if you wait for a dip, but what would you do if the dip does not come? That was still a good buy indeed but again what if he don't have a cash that time? buying now is recommended instead of waiting for bitcoin to return to 20K and buying it, but buying for the current price is advised not to use full capital, you can divide it into several stages of buying, if the price drops again then you can buy it again. because no one will know when the price will go up or down, they can only predict and analyze according to their abilities

It is possible that he did not have that money before, but it somehow seems to me, considering his post, that this was not the case after all. Maybe he was just waiting for another crash to happen, because after the price fell below $20k, speculations started again about whether the price will reach close to $15k or even lower again.

As I already wrote, some people are so indecisive and constantly change their minds that good opportunities simply slip in front of their noses every time. Hard to say now since bitcoin starting to pump already, but if they could take the risk since they are for long term hold then maybe we can see a good result for it in next couple of months or even next year since bitcoin halving is approaching. This event is the most awaited by many investor since many speculate for another huge pump, if you want to invest now maybe try to see first the movement of the market and decide if this is good or you can still able to wait for further more possible good entry.

We have different take on where bitcoin will go now. If you are weak on analysis just take someone opinion that is more logical to you and bet on it if you really want to invest and maximize your potential profit. In the end, You can possibly make a profit long term as most of us is bullish on bitcoin for long term. It will just take a while before it materialize but yeah profit is very possible for long term, No need to argue with it as most of the people are on the same line. Just don't panic and just hodl the plan that you follow didn't go as you expect. Unfortunately no one will be able to predict the price exactly whether it will fall in a few days or vice versa but what is certain is that in recent times the price of BTC has experienced rapid movements. You are targeting the long term then actually it is not a problem to buy at $28,000 or below as BTC price is not going to fall very deep in my opinion. When the decision has been taken to buy, then whatever price movements you don't need to regret because you have to focus on your long-term targets, and patiently waiting for the BTC price to reach what you have targeted.
