Even in cryptocurrency, there are many complex sections to understand in the market, buying and holding for long term, which is a good illustration of investments. It's stress-free with significant returns specifically when the market pump, but we displayed sad faces when the market is not going in our direction. Trading is not an investment rather its the activity that keep traders going on and steadily on daily basis.

Investment is one of the means of increasing one's money if the investment can be done in the right place then it is possible to get more profit from that investment. We can choose Bitcoin for online investment. Because Bitcoin is always the best investment. You have mentioned risk here even if there is risk you have asked to discuss here about the investment. A lot of people are realizing that trading can be very profitable, but they don't understand that they need to learn and understand trading to get profit. Trading is a good platform to earn profit, but experience is very important for that.In trading, where the profit is very good, the risk of loss is also high.

i am quite late to share my opinion here but opinion is opinion and it always have some value, so here is what my POV.

If you are a newbie in investment and choose trade as perfect for you, then first of all you have to understand that, both are different things. Trading has its own perks so does Investing has. And, after understanding the difference between both, you should keep in mind the followings:

• Always make up your mind of how much profit you want to book so that you will not fall greedy for more profits and end up with nothing.
• Always use stop limits, because you do not want to observe the market 24 hour.
• Always trade with the money you do not care about that much, i know money is a thing we all care about but use only that you can bear to lose.
• Do not perform future trading as it is highly risky, i prefer you to start with Spot, never go for more profits, and more money, and always try to make your life less risky by earning more by little drops.

TBH, i did not read any of the reply under your post, because those are so many, so i am just sharing my thoughts which might be shared by them.

If you want to invest money for the long term and go about your business without distractions or worries, then it might be better to choose observations. It will be the best. But no one will give you a guarantee about this. And if you want to trade a question, then you need to study, study, make mistakes, gain experience. It's just that investing and trading are not the same thing, and you hardly have to answer the question. You'll realized what you really want.

An absolute newbie can not understand the rudiments of the market easily without a trusted person or persons guiding the user..
So my advice would be to first and foremost, find a trusted person  as a mentor, he or she could be a friend, family member, a brother or sister.

The above is what I believe is the first thing to do when one is starting out their investment journey in cryptocurrencies, as well as crypto trading, cryptocurrency still looks very complex to many, newbies would make a lot of wrong decisions if he or she doesn't not have a mentor or tutor.

But we have seen many newbie in the past or even recently that need no one but internet to understand and learn this market.

First I would like to clarify one this that trading is different from investment. As someone that's new to trading I would advise that you don't just jump into it but get yourself some materials or videos and study or have someone mentor you so that can understand fully the rudiments of trading. Whenever you are ready to start trading, don't be greedy, you can actually start testing the waters with small trades and as you progress you increase your trading amount.

Everything that is new for a newbie is highly not recommended if he does not understand how it works and also the risks that will be obtained because usually, someone will start doing business only focusing on profits but forget that there are risks that cannot be ignored if that person already understands it then it won't be a problem to start with.
First, you have to understand that trading is not an online investment because usually online investment is more often used by scammers to introduce their business. Trading is short term while investing is long term both have risks regarding which one is more risky it will depend on the choice of coin you choose for trading and also the coin you choose as an investment, so it is better to study carefully before making a decision.

I'm not sure I get what you're getting at, but do you want to trade or invest in cryptocurrencies? I think  you should pick one and concentrate on it, but if you are a complete beginner to trading, I won't advise you to begin. Imagine starting a business without any prior business knowledge. I believe you will be risking your money more than other traders are, so I believe you should go over the fundamentals of trading. There are many analysis and technical aspects of trading you must know before starting to trade, as well as how the market works and when to sell and buy.
Therefore, I believe that based on the way you are speaking, you are conflating trading and investment; you must be aware of the distinctions between the two.

The problem is, many beginners want to take a shortcut and aims to get the best profits that they can get while they're still too early in trading.

They're ignoring that thought because they think that it's so easy in trading based on what they've seen on social media where other traders are boasting their profits.

Doing that is such a hard task and unfortunately only a few people are capable of doing it. Well not "few" people, but few percent of people. Only 5-10% of the whole crypto world is holding for long term, most of them just trade based on what they see and they do not end up holding for long term. That's a wrong move and hopefully people will learn how to do better.

I think the best thing to do in this case right now is to make sure that we end up with a good return when we can, and it should be providing something that gets a good return. In order to do this, we need to provide proof to people that holding is a better way to make profit and that can be done too, but it will take some time before we can see a change like that, it may not be that easy at all.
