Hi I have been toying with the idea of investing in BTC but have waited due to some investors saying the price will drop to 12 - 16k again. do you think it could still drop to this or are we more likely to move on up to 40k?

Instead of getting idea from different member you should go for to start accumulating Bitcoin at every dip through DCA, because still it's too low from his previous All Time High which is around 69k and everyone know that in 2024 halving will occur which has always really big impact on price and according to BTC history after each and every halving it break his ATH and move toward his new ATH.
So the point is that every long term BTC holder get profit no matter at which price he got Bitcoin(Suppose below 30k), because after next halving it will not allow you an opportunity to buy below 30k.

remember that we are talking about bitcoin here in which the safest and the strongest coin crypto ever had.
so assurance is always there to keep you moving and trusting.

I agree, people who trust others will never amount to anything, they will keep making mistakes over and over again and that will be terrible for all of us because that money could also go into bitcoin and make it higher, but instead not go into it because influencers convinces of them something else.

why not use those advise as combination when trading and investing than doing one of those,

And i think bitcoin price never will come $12k-$16k. So who tell bitcoin price coming $12kto $16k i think he not told true. I think bitcoin price will $60k to $100k.
