I'd like to highlight the basic accumulation when you start getting involved in bitcoin, one year with little capital it's nearly impossible to make big profits, unless you try to take a regular approach through DCA to accumulate incremental purchases. You've executed an excellent approach by ignoring altcoins, but there aren't many sources to point me to your initial purchase of bitcoins.

At least when you explain the basic pattern, strategy and purchase amount then many people will probably take the same opportunity as you and that's good for beginners in implementing how to invest in bitcoin, because they have a handle like your strategy and they will make the right decision.

If it's true that you're taking more buying opportunities, I think now is a good time to raise and if the halving happens next year then you're in for a big hit. Your current buying period will probably be much shorter for large returns, as the cycle will repeat itself and bitcoins will return at a higher price.

Almost everyone has had a successful journey when they chose bitcoin as their investment asset. Bitcoin is one of the most recommended for you to own and whoever they are in the portfolio regardless of your investment time frame. It is a very wise decision if you also accumulate it when you have income to invest. And if you can afford to hold for long-term, then I think you'll definitely get a worth it return.

But I don't think your thread matters because basically you are just presenting your enthusiasm for bitcoin investment instead of coming up with some interesting ideas for discussion.

I want to ask, have you started accumulating Bitcoin before its all-time high of $60,000+? If yes, didn't you sell and pick up the profit? 

Accumulating is fine with me, but when doing so, I always have a selling target. I also sometimes know when to stop losing, but that's not my case with Bitcoin. It's also a safer move for you that you avoided all shitcoins. Even though the gains are tempting some times, I do trade the shitcoins, pick up the gains, and move (they are just temporary tokens to buy and sell, not to hodl).

I wish you success with regard to your passion buying. I'm also still accumulating, but not as much. I accumulate more irrespective of different events. Every stakeholder has a different buying strategy. Use a method that works for you.

It looks like you have started accumulating BTC since June last year when it fell down near $18k. It was a nice approach because when there's blood on the streets and people say that the asset has died and there's no more interest of anybody in it, that's when it begins test the patience of real hodlers who don't give a damn about the price of BTC but keep buying it and gain more and more possession. Your opinion regarding altcoins is not correct and calling them shit-coins is not fair. I know that some of those altcoins can be called shit-coins because they have nothing good to offer and are made of pumping and dumping. But, on the other hand there are some really good and valuable altcoins that have made many traders prosperous.

That's sounds good because accumulating more bitcoin in current market will increase your profits. Many things are in favor of Bitcoin these days and in coming months the expected price of Bitcoin will surpass $35k, and after that the bull run will start. And, if you are lucky enough then you might get chance to earn 1.5x - 2x return from your investment.

OP started accumulating Bitcoins probably around June Last year, in that month the highest bitcoin price was around 32k$ and the lowest was around 17k$.

I also had a period where my portfolio became worthless when I put shitcoins in it, but over the past year I have decided not to look at any more altcoins in my portfolio because it would be so disgusting to look at, now I am focusing more on bitcoin which has more potential big compared to other coins, I also don't count back on other leading altcoins with you mentioning that no but it doesn't matter if you just want to earn then transfer to bitcoin but basically the portfolio you have now bitcoin must be above other percentages.

Keep on accumulating at this core which will save you in the next few years when the price of bitcoin is high, you may be able to buy in a lump sum way but my own way is DCA I always want to increase when there is extra money earned as long as I can make it.

Well done, OP; you really had a great journey into Bitcoin, not like some of us who fell victim to one scam project or another. My crypto journey was really more of a bad experience; I have invested in a few altcoins that are just worthless today. Although we can't tell what will happen in the future, we only speculate on Bitcoin. But looking into the history of Bitcoin, it has really come a long way. Even when the Bitcoin price fell by 99% in 2011, some people think that was even when Bitcoin would have crashed if it was supposed to, but it did not, and that is really the date I look back to when I hear people talk ill of Bitcoin. Your decision to invest in Bitcoin is really good OP; even if I go into buying a few altcoins now, I don't keep them, I just pick up my little profit after some weeks or a month and move on. holding altcoins is just a waste of time, apart from a few (one or two), I am just using them to add to my portfolio.

Shitcoins are only suitable for short-term speculation and should be sold as soon as they are profitable. Your mistake is trusting them too much and holding onto them for a long. Just because you don't profit from shitcoin doesn't mean others will be like you, I still see many people making huge profits from investing in shitcoins. Recently, a memecoin called PePe has given some people more than 500,000% returns, it may not be completely useless, but investing in it is not easy.

When you say you have everything invested in bitcoin, in the first link, and here you say you buy more bitcoin, it is better if you specify, because it is not the same if you live with your parents and invest $50 a month than if you earn $100,000 a year and are investing half, although from what you say in the thread about being satoshis millionaire it seems to me that the reality is going to be something more similar to the former.

According to me, investing in shitcoins is like gambling, so I don't think we should waste time with them. Although there are still some lucky people who can make profits from shitcoins, those lucky people count on their fingers, and most of them are losses.
It is better to focus mainly on bitcoin, and if we want to make more profits, then choose altcoins that are considered by the community as potential, we can try a little with them. The risk is also not too high, and the chances of profit-making will be more obvious than with shitcoins.

Why split your bitcoins into different wallets? Meanwhile, if you are serious about your bitcoins and you believe bitcoin will help you succeed in the future, why not get yourself a hardware wallet? Hardware wallets aren't too expensive and aren't hard to get, don't be stingy with important things like bitcoins. You only need one hardware wallet to hold all your bitcoins, and it will be easier for you to store your private keys. Having too many software wallets just makes it difficult to store seed phrases.

Your approach was the right one, and many people fail to do this. Bitcoin investment needs time to show good sign of profits. And there is no best time to invest in bitcoin, as every time is the best time to do it. We know that how low bitcoin value gets, it will be standing on the top again. One more thing I want to say is that, remember that 1 bitcoin will always remain as 1 bitcoin. Only the value will change, but the quantity will stay the same. The strong hodlers know this very well, and that is why they are successful.

If you can build up a mindset like this, then you can see more profits in the near future. The key to bitcoin investment's profits is HODL.

Well, you did a very great job on your Bitcoin journey, I sold most of my Bitcoin last bull run and I actually get a good profit from it, I started accumulating Bitcoin again last year when the Bear market started to hit, And I also don't have time to spend on the forum that time because I got a full-time job, its difficult to be active here and on trading and investing if you already have a full-time job.

I'm confident with my experience in Bitcoin investing, I would do and earn a lot this time, I'm curious how far my Bitcoin will reach, well of course we are all planning to hold it. I'm still building my mindset to actually hold for the long term because I'm always thinking of selling at a profit which is not bad actually, it's always difficult to hold if you doesnt really have other passive incomes. I think if one is knowledgeable enough and knows what is going on inside a group can take advantage of shitcoin trading.  I agree that many had made losses with shitcoins but there are also people especially early adopters who take huge amount of profit from 10x to 1000x because of shitcoins.

I agree that Bitcoin market is stable but trading makes a profit in a market that his highly volatile.  Ignoring some altcoins especially when they have the potentials, made us miss profits.  If we don't want to be affected too much and still wanted to take risk on shitcoins or potential altcoins, we should only invest the money we can afford to lose.

Since then, I have come to realize that only Bitcoin holds true value. Shitcoins will never keep our portfolio growing, they might be profitable at first but in the long run, they will end up as dead coins, that’s why we have to avoid shitcoins investing in the first place. Good thing OP never fall for them, and stick only to bitcoin. Bitcoin is the only crypto coin that has high security when it comes to investment, that’s why a lot of us has benefited its profits more than we can imagined. Though some altcoins are still good to go, but in order to avoid future problems and losses, it would be much better to just focus to bitcoin and hold it for long term.

Bitcoin is the top crypto asset and one with the most liquidity as long as the crypto market is concerned, bitcoin is still pretty cheap if we compare the current price to the all time high we saw in the last bull run..

Holding shitcoins is proven to be a waste if you tend to hold for long term.  Shitcoins are subject to pump and dump then worthlessness so when engaging in shitcoins we should always be in our feet and be ready to sell when our holdings increase in price.  Shitcoins are good for short term investment if anyone is for a long term investment, Bitcoin and top altcoins is the way to go.

According to me, investing in shitcoins is like gambling, so I don't think we should waste time with them. Although there are still some lucky people who can make profits from shitcoins, those lucky people count on their fingers, and most of them are losses.

I think if one is knowledgeable enough and knows what is going on inside a group can take advantage of shitcoin trading.  I agree that many had made losses with shitcoins but there are also people especially early adopters who take huge amount of profit from 10x to 1000x because of shitcoins.

Investing in shitcoins as a game of chance, if you know what you are doing and are willing to accept losses, then you can try your luck, if you are lucky, you can retire early, for their profits are really huge. But if you don't have too much money, no experience but always want to get rich quickly with shitcoin, it's just a waste of your time. I've also seen a few people change their lives by investing in shitcoins, but as I said, there aren't many like that, and most of them are losers and losers. This life needs effort and hard work to be successful, can't rely on luck, because it's not for everyone.

I guess there's no more better advice that anybody can give here with regards to which coin you should invest your money aside from focusing onto Bitcoin. The fact that you've timed the market perfectly by accumulating during the bear market is the best way to approach it. There are some investors who are waiting, and waiting, and waiting, until the price of Bitcoin went up already and they ended up not investing at all. As for you, you took the risk, you've shown your trust into Bitcoin, and invested during the bear market like many of us did.

Like you, I'm also investing into Bitcoin as well. More than half of my total crypto portfolio is already in Bitcoin, and I will still continue to buy, and wait until the bull market comes. If I may ask, is there a chance that you would've invest into some altcoin, and if yes, what altcoin?

The idea of continuously buying Bitcoin is more likely because of the fact that the market value have increased that much with regards to its last All time high. People are just more confident of how high will its value reach, which also means money ofcourse.

Having such success in a single year is great, considering the last year has been terrible, it's even better to think about how you have gone high and did well. I know that many people ended up not believing it could be done ,so this is a proof that it can be done. As long as you keep buying when it is low and you end up selling when it goes up (or even holding) that means you are going to be in profit.

Too many people avoid that simple mindset and they try to get rich quick and those people are the ones that are losing at this moment. If you do not do that and if you end up focusing on just the long term and the fact that it crashes sometimes so you can buy and for you to sell, then I would guess that it would be a better profit for you in a year.

The journey of your success is appreciable and I think that everyone should think the way you think because altcoins can give you enhance profit but their future sometime seems to be unsuccessful due to high hazardous situations related to it.

I don't see any person who have made investment in Bitcoin and experience loss instead of those who make wrong decisions during unfavorable conditions. Your future planning of buying more bitcoin will be profitable but I will suggest that you should get your profit and make investment on the value of your profit so it will be perfectly good for your money enhancement.

I believe when you buy bitcoin and hold it for years, it will certainly bring significant profits on you knowing bitcoin’s value is most likely seen to increase in price rather than to see it depreciating in value. Though altcoins are somehow profitable too, but you cannot make an assurance as to how long they will stay profitable. Buying btc at lows and at certain intervals are 2 very different criterias. If you bought in when BTC was falling last year, and you are in profit this year, then this thread makes sense. However, with good stories comes bad ones too, so someone's profit is someone's loss. You are lucky to buy it at lows and be confident about your investment, keep it up and keep buying btc in smaller parts after setting some prices reaching where you can buy more.

Since June of last year, when its price dropped to around $18,000, it appears that you have started to accumulate Bitcoin. It was a smart strategy because real hodlers, who don't give a damn about the price of BTC but keep buying it and amass more and more possession, start to lose patience when there's blood on the streets and people claim that the asset has died and nobody is interested in it anymore. If you're a long-term hodler, this is a great approach to be a good hodler and start making money in a short period of time. After getting success in investing in bitcoins you buy some more bitcoins which is a very good decision for you. Because you have developed a positive mindset. I think the same, if someone wants to invest in altcoins then that is their right, but a newbie should not do this as they are taking a risk they are simply not prepared to confront, and when they finally realize this was the case the losses they would have accumulated already will discourage them to invest in this market any more money or force them to keep investing in altcoins and hope for a miracle, a miracle that never comes as you may guess.

Almost everyone has had a successful journey when they chose bitcoin as their investment asset. It can be said that the best time to buy bitcoin has passed, and last year was that great time when bitcoin dropped to $16k. It was also when I focused all my energy on buying as many bitcoins as possible. But if someone missed last year, there is still a chance to own cheap bitcoin, I think as long as it is still highly discounted from the old ATH, we can always buy it whenever we want. Don't wait for a lower price because no one knows what tomorrow's market will be like.
