You can for example toss a coin 10 times and it can land on face every single time, it is possible but increasingly improbable. And the next time you toss it it still has a 50-50 chance to land on tails.

Now, a casino has even worse odds for the gambler than 50-50, so it is even more improbable to win every time. It's just a rounding error out of being impossible.

Absolutely true and I agree with your comment. although there is a guarantee in all cases, no profit can be guaranteed in trading and gambling. Because of this gambling should not be chosen as a profession and gambling should be taken as fun. and if one is planning to earn from gambling then we should keep our own passive income and then gamble part time. But no greed can be kept here and no fixed amount target can be kept, it should always be kept as a target for the profit to give up gambling for that day, be it $1 or Hughes.

It's true what you say. Every time he succeeds in reaching his target, he will increase the number of targets to a higher profit even though he knows that reaching the target is not easy and he keeps trying. And after he succeeded in achieving it, he raised the target again and so on. And as you said, your greed got to him and made him want more wins. I was about to roll my eyes because of the first few sentences and I'm glad I read the whole post. It's really impossible to have a continuous winning no matter how good you are. Winning streak everyday is very unlikely to happen in gambling since not everyday you'll have the odds side on your favor. There will be bad timings and unpleasant result if the luck isn't really that much into you despite how good you are, anytime, tables can turn. And most of the time, you'll witness and experience it when you least expect it.

This is why you shouldn't expect so much when it comes to betting and playing because nothing is ever guaranteed in gambling. Instead of being complacent, you must try to look for other source of income so you won't have to rely to gambling for having funds.

I was about to roll my eyes because of the first few sentences and I'm glad I read the whole post. It's really impossible to have a continuous winning no matter how good you are. I agree, there comes a time when you should stop and to be honest I've felt it myself. Sometimes, after experiencing some great wins, I get a sense that I might end up losing. As we already know, greed can lead to losing all your money but if you stop just before succumbing to greed, it will be for the best.
