Maybe some workers in court are good friends with fj and they are making everything to postpone this as much as they can, until someone decides to drop the case.

I am suing FortuneJack in France in the criminal court for illegal gambling operations. I’ve hired a law firm here who did research and indeed I can sue them for this (they’ll decrease their fees contigent on winning the case).

All this costs a lot of money, hiring law firms and lawyers is not cheap.

Yes man, you are confusing the lawsuit in the civil court in Curaçao that is closed and only awaiting judgement. The “hypothetical” lawsuit I talked about was to take place in France in the criminal court but will never happen because now I know better and was deceived by a French lawyer.

After reading both threads, you may want to revise your options and sue them in France instead, assuming you sued them at all. Your Curacao lawyer is wrong, don't take my word for it, though, do your own research or get a second opinion. Just like any other profession, there are good and bad lawyers.

You can sue them and their licensor in France. You have to understand how the legal system in Curacao works. it is to their benefit to drag this out as long as possible. Even if they eventually pass a favorable judgment, they cannot enforce it.

The worst case scenario for Fortunejack is that they will have their license pulled, but for them, the cost of the license is only a fraction of the amount you are suing them for. It would be cheaper for them not to pay and simply obtain another license, perhaps in Costa Rica, which would be even less expensive.

The moral of the story is not to bet at shady casinos with questionable licenses. I hope you find resolution, though I doubt it will happen. Kudos for fighting back.

One more thing, it wouldn't hurt to present some evidence. Some of us are genuinely interested in how this pans out. You shouldn't allow the actions of a few posters to dictate your behavior, unless this is advice from your lawyer.

Lawsuit in Curaçao is already over, just awaiting judgement. In France the lawyer was clearly being shady and dishonest, changing his answers 3 to 4 times according to what I say I think. He knows I will not benefit anything from the case, the Curaçao lawyer was always honest.

No need to ask for evidence, I already gave all evidence for the scam before and still Fortunejack running free on this forum with no scam tags on his profile.

Thank you:) yeah despite having been pretty harsh and ignoring some important evidence about their terms and conditions and the way they applied, still we needed a court to say that “which team wins the rest of the match” and “endtime result” are 2 different bets lol, thus they couldn’t possibly justify voiding bet 3 because it is not identical to bet 1. Bet 3 is the largest, so it has about 85% of the money stolen.

I will though still appeal the decision about the small bets 2 and 4 (you’ll know which ones if you’ve followed my other thread)

Please remind me if they have to pay you back in fiat currency or in cryptocurrency?
And are they going to pay you in fj account, bank account or directly to your crypto wallet?
Maybe with price changes you earned by fj holding coins for you

The lawsuit was made in euros equivalent. The coin has slightly as of today went down in value since then, I wouldn’t be surprised though if they’ll try to play some dirty tricks to say that at the end of the day what counts is not really euros but the coin, though initially they used the “100,000 euros max win per bet” excuse to justify not pay winnings.

Dirty indeed. i wouldn’t deposit a cent into any unregulated crypto casino. Its scary whats happening out there, including with the reputable ones.

They took the bet and should have paid up. i imagine they wouldn’t have refunded the op if he had lost the bet.

This will encourage more players to not be afraid of suing. of course, not everyone has the op's resources and patience.

Well, as long or as far as he won the lawsuit against fortunejack, the casino will have no choice but to pay op whatever amount of money the court has commanded they pay, else, they will have more troubles to face and which may include withdrawal of their license and shutting down of the business.
I don't have a detailed idea on how lawsuits works in other countries, so I am speaking based on how it's done in my country.

Any business that loses a lawsuit to a customer is usually give a timeframe to pay what ever amount assigned to the customer, failure usually will lead to the court withdrawing the license from the business and sealing it up, and the CEO and some other top executives may even get arrest, tried and jailed depending on how weighty the case is.

It doesnt matter if they change the name of company and if they move to another location, if they already lost in the court.
