I think you better provide significant information as to the service you're talking about. What is it? Does it require KYC? Is it a custodial service? Is it a P2P app?

Actually, if all you have is crypto and you visit my country, you can also do that. There is no big deal here. The most popular crypto app in my country is also present in Thailand. I don't know how widely adopted it is there, though. The big deal is if you can visit Thailand and tour around the country spending only crypto. But if you have to convert your crypto to fiat first, you probably can do that with several options. You can also to that in a number of countries.

Bro, your links seem to be a scam as you have put some specific port number at the end of the link which can lead to your created environment which could look like a copy of your mentioned platform and bad things could happen (not accusing) just stating the fact.

Plus I think you should get some trust and merit too, because in the crypto space, no one likes to click on links that are shared by newbies because a single click can cause a lot of trouble to them I also avoid clicking on it. Plus it would be more generic if you would add your conversion screenshots so that we can confirm it or at least transaction id etc.

Technically you can covert coins to cash in any country as long as crypto isn't banned to whcih you can live to such country paying cash.

But have you tried paying services directly using BTC?
Because if yes, thats what adoption is. Eliminating cash.

Yeah that's why its ridiculous claim that he only use crypto since so far this currency is not well acknowledge by big merchants. If he only point out on El Salvador maybe people will really find this story amazing.
So for sure fiat is really needed on this travel since he really get a hard time to search for merchant which accept bitcoin directly. Hopefully this will happen into that country or globally but this is long legal battle where bitcoin need to pass on.

I saw many videos for people who used bitcoin only to travel, but they were well planned visit with an additional balance of the dollar, which was transferred from Bitcoin to Cash.
So it is possible if the trip is well planned.

It's best to be careful contacting the person @OP refers to as that person is on Telegram.
Not that I suspect him but we know many scammers are looking for their victims from Telegram and we also don't know who he really is.
If someone wants to travel to another place and use or exchange his bitcoins, he must have already exchanged his bitcoins before he started his journey.

Converting crypto to cash is not difficult in any country as long as there is P2P platform exists. In most Asian countries, people just use binance or any exchange to convert their crypto to cash without any hassle. The real and amazing thing would be when you will be able to spend crypto directly in any country without converting it into fiat.

You're exactly right - bitcoin is not allowed and a way of payment here (just few places). But this customer didn't spend any fiat from his bank account of cash that he bring with him from the home country.

The main idea of this post was that you don't need credit card of cash when coming to Thailand. You can pay everywhere via our services and you can receive cash everywhere in Thailand too. Thus you can come with crypto only and everything will be arranged and paid.

Merit is hard to earn so I'm not really surprised for some users creates unrealistic claim to boost up their post and then trying to get some attention of many reputable users here. But unfortunately many people doesn't like to hear make up stories that's why he didn't get much praise but instead many people trying to correct some wrongs perspective about what's the real deal on that country.

That title is pretty misleading. I thought this is a thread about OP traveling to Thailand and spending cryptocurrencies everywhere in Thailand and it must be some interesting story and how everyone in Thailand accepts cryptocurrencies as payment for goods and services, it was disappointing to find out after opening the thread that it's nothing more than an advertisement.

I wonder why someone in Thailand or any country shouldn't use an online P2P service instead of using a service by an individual who would come and hand out the cash to you. That's super creepy knowing it can also be dangerous since you are in an unknown country and the other person knows you got money on you.
