Not sure if he really needs a laptop that can handle lots of installations for his crypto activities. Installing too many applications is a big no-no because it can put his crypto assets at risk of being hacked or stolen. I think it's crucial to prioritize security above all else.

Yeah your right, maybe want to download something not related to crypto.
but since he said is only for crypto use then it's advisable to download any other thing there than just only crypto wallet.

If that may be the case i don't think he should go for a beg laptop rather just buying a medium size with at least good memory.

Keep in mind regardless of what type of laptop or pc  you get. Used or new.
All the information will be stored on your HardDrive / SSDrive. Your laptop screen can break, the information will stay on the disk.

Its imortant to have email acces for recovery of your Microsoft Account. Use a strong password that only you know.
I reccomend geting a good quality SSD from a well known manufacturer like Intel or Kingston.
Any laptop under 500$ Will have average quality chinese HDD , which is not reccomended for serious crypto bussines/storage/exchange.

In terms of preformance, the Dual-Core versions of new gen laptops are enough for simple trading or even hook it up to your mining rig to monitor preformance.
Reccomended is a solid Intel i3 / i5 procesor with 16GB of ram memory.
