If you can sign a Bitcoin message with private key of any Bitcoin address you posted in this forum in the past, it is one of important proof of your account ownership.

You will have your account recovered but you must have access to the original email address that was used to register the account. Without it, your chances of recovering the account are pretty slim.
The email address is the one you are supposed to use to write to the team that recovers the accounts

I don't know if recovery without that is possible, unless, as @logfiles said, he can still access the email that is attached to the account, in which case, the admins might be able to send a link or something to confirm if he is the actual owner. Otherwise, anyone can create an account similar to an inactive account from the past and claim they are the original owner and have forgotten the email and password.

Your account is banned and I personally couldn't find a single post from you with a bitcoin (or any other) address. I think the recovery of your account is slim to none.

Just curious, was the account actually banned or was it locked? I mean, usually, the BPIP extension shows whether the account is banned, and in the case of the account mentioned by OP, the account only shows "inactive" and not "banned".

BPIP may not show the account ban. And whether the account was banned or locked is unlikely to tell anyone now. Hardly any of the staff can remember.

That's probably because the account was banned before BPIP started to scrape the modlog.

Op, based on this vital information presented about your account here. Can you remember in the past if your account was used by some other persons or by yourself to scam in the forum?
If a user is noticed to be scamming, they are not usually banned, but rather they are tagged because scam is not moderated in the forum. Why was that case different?

Because the account was hacked and then used in a scam, it's a different situation than if it were simply used to scam someone from the start. If Cyrus took action for that reason, I’d see it more as locking the account rather than issuing a ban.

If the email is truly forgotten and no wallet address was ever posted as proof of ownership, the chances of the OP recovering that account are basically zero.

If you had signed a message in the past with that same account, then you could probably be able to do so, but if you don't, then the alternative left is your email or you got the password back, but if none of these were also available, then forget that you once have an an account here, because anyone can just come with the claim that he owns any account and the right owner can only be verified by these steps, you can also try other suggestions given, maybe you could see alternative which i doubt, now we even have the option to use 2FA for more security.

what do you mean by that? did you just forget which email you used, or is the email deleted/no longer have access to? because if you just search your inboxes for bitcointalk, you should be able to find it and recover the account.

if you had spent 2 minutes reading the replies above yours, you would know he never posted a wallet to sign a message from, and that his account got locked/banned after being hacked.
so without a signed message or access to the email, there is zero chance of him getting it back.

It seems that what you described was what happened. Even at that, it seems that the rules were very much strict then than now. As at today, if an account is suspected to be hacked or sold and it is used to scam or trying to scam, DTs do the job by painting it red such that a moderator wouldn't have to even interfere again. Hope you understand what I meant?
It could be that moderators were very active then and there was no much load, so they literarily attend to all cases.

I can't prove it like its the way it is before, but one thing i observe is there's no proof given on that thread that it was really his account, unless the user or cyrus pmed each other.

It could be as well that DTs are not just strict on that days compare to now. Remember selling account here is pretty normal before, there's even account price estimator made by DT too until such discussion opens up, then selling account is much prohibited now by forum ethics not by forum rules.
