Well, if you are making good money out of trading and also you are able to make a profit in times when the market situation is not favorable, then it means that trading suits you and you can quit your job and do full time trading. However, this may not be true for most of traders who usually face more loss than wins.

If you ask my opinion, I would say that one should get constant income, either from a day job, business, or trading, however, trading is not for everyone as it needs some skills to be able to trade professionally.

Preferably continue with your civil service job alongside trading of course you have to balance the two to avoid backlash probably late going to work due to some trading opportunities, of course you will miss some trading opportunities or signals while at work that means the few trading opportunities or signals that occurs must be well utilized, if possible increase your leverage to earn more profits while this is subject to your trading strategy which I hope or believe earns you profits consistently, I also believe your civil service job is less stressful so that you can concentrate on trading profitably after closing for the day job.

I would prefer both trading and a steady source of income over a salary.
Salary is a stable money that comes as a result of working for the government, so it is reliable. If I can have both a reliable salary and trading experience, I would like to add both so that I can benefit from them both.

Hard to say because for me the most important thing is free time. I always had jobs that were part-time and allowed me to focus on the things that I liked doing, basically I was freelancing all my life, earning little, but I also had other sources of income like a rented out property. I thought about it long time ago and I had an option to work all day and never be home, so that I'd have to hire people to do everything like a gardener, a plumber, an electrician, a nanny, or get a part-time job, learn less than half of what I'd get otherwise and be able to spend time at home with my family and do all the stuff myself and that's what I chose.

I really prefer to cut grass myself, get some tan while doing it, then drink a cold beer, instead of sitting in the office while some guy does this for me and gets paid for it.

From your story it sounds like you had a good trade because it was profitable, and you have a good job and have a lot of free time to do other things like you trade.
so i think both are good for you and if i was in your shoes i would do both because i would easily do both as i have a lot of free time especially saturday sunday. And the work of civil servants is not like factory labor and you can still trade while working, but you also have to prioritize your work first.
So in my opinion both are equally good for you and you don't have to choose one because it will make you regret it later.

I think it all depends on your style of living. I see people after they get a level of living status, they are contended with even a monthly income to meet that status. But once they are introduced to a new level or standard of living by giving too much money you get attracted to it and then once again you want this level of money to come to you so you can meet this new standard of living. I think humans always get lured to richness and then adjust them to that.

There are many crypto traders that are also making decent amount of money from their trading base on their knowledge toward trading, but the problem is that it is always that they do make good profit, they even experience loses sometimes.I sure making profits from trading can't be always but if you are making huge profits from it without not loses, it can just be a lucky season for you.

I may say that is just a lucky season for you and base on your good knowledge about trading. Many traders have experience good things you are experiencing now but  market later change which does not favor them again. Let be wise not to focus only on crypto trading.

I love to be self employed because of time I may not have for myself compare to working under company or government.but due to risks involves in crypto trading and not assurance that what I am have making from my trading will continue, I will prefer to go for government work that I will be seeing my salary at every end of the month continously.but I may just use trading as alternative way of making income.

This topic is interesting to discuss, someone who has a fixed salary like civil servants will always be calm. but sometimes he do not want to improve his performance because there is no demand to improve work performance. Always on stagnant level and do not have any strong desire to break his limit to achieve another goals.

Trading / business encourages someone to always pursue new targets and improve the work performance.  This will make us always grow. But we will always face more complicated problem that should be handled on trading / business. You can earn profit from short trade on crypto trading,  but it does not easy as we said because  the market conditions are very difficult to predict.

Atleast for the sake of my family I prefer doing the civil servant job. If I'm single I could've opted for the cryptocurrency trading, because I can manage with what I've earned for the day. When we've got dependents it is really hard and certain scenario can't be managed easily. Somehow I'll try to spend good time on trading as it gives me additional earning access based on my understanding about the market. Every day we can't expect it to be successful day in trading. OP is good enough and lucky to have consistent profit through trading.

I would prefer to do both if I had the option to but in this case since I don't really like trading so this won't be an option.

I don't really like trading because I'm not good at it so I prefer to do investment. I still do that from the time I started here until now and never touched trading too much because I am aware of my strengths and abilities.
On the other hand, I'm also still working in rl so this still makes sense. I like that even though the salary can be said to be just enough to make ends meet but it is the best thing for me in supporting my life and small family so it will not be stopped just like that, on the other hand investing for the long term is also important so I did it in bitcoin until now so in this case I can get two benefits at once even though bitcoin has no real guarantee but on the other hand I am still sure of it, as for my rl work it is to support my daily needs at this time.

I have ever hated white colar  job from day one. Even though am educated and have my certificate. Business has been my thing since I was a child because I hate waiting for a whole thirty days to be paid which no matter how hard you work as a civil servant,
your pay is and will always be less than your efforts to performances.
But in trading, your pay is determined by your effort, commitment, consistence and performances.
So I will rather prefer trading than working as a civil servant.

At least trading gives a certain independence - and, with due diligence and luck, some confidence in the future. Of course, you can't exclude the risk that you can lose everything in an instant - that's crypto-trading, but there is risk everywhere, unfortunately.

From my perspective, it is un preferable and perilous to quit your main job just because you made a profit in trading. In fact, I encourage you to do both simultaneously and once you gain a solid experience in trading and make large earnings, at the moment you can leave your main job and focus on crypto field but be careful, the market is unstable and unpredictable and regrettably the crypto future is blurry, It would be better if you find another source of funds apart trading such as freelance, e-commerce, goods trading and real estate … etc. For me, I would rather build my own business than be engaged in government job and work from 08h to 17h everyday. No offense the ones who work as employees but that’s called slavery .

Obviously I would prefer the work/job that gives me time freedom, can earn more than my job salary and can have access to the earnings 24/7.  But it does not hurt if we have both option.  A diverse source of income is a good thing because one can support you when the other one is performing badly.

In the case given, I would be greedy and choose the two since they don't conflict with each other.  I would love to have a steady income, it secure me of fund for my needs and at the same time, I also like to have additional income that can be acquired during my free time.  

Trading is not all green, and if it happens that the market fails you, your other source of income can save you from all worries.

It's been seen that due to this pandemic, majority of the jobs can't be retained if there's something like this again. I'll choose to have a stable financial cash flow and one of it should come from being employed. I may not have that much freedom from it but I can do the things I like after work.

Since most corporate and civil jobs are just from weekdays, I still got few hours after shifts there and then I've got the weekends doing the things that I want.

Until everything is settle and I can do those things I want anytime I want and I'm making much profits from it that's able to sustain my daily needs, I'll leave my job once I get there.

If I were to answer the OP's question then I'd say "that depends on how you manage your time". If you can do both at the same time then it's very well recommended option since you can earn from both. First of, trading as a side hustle or any side hustles you can think of while trading, and at the same time you are working to earn a stable source of income. Nowadays, it's no longer enough to have a stable source of income if you plan to have a leisurely life in the future while having extra money, and even if you do have a decent amount of income from your stable source of income, it is not enough nowadays to sustain you for a long time.

Even if we say you can support you and your family from that job, is that really enough? I don't think that is, since there will be times that you need to have an extra money. I had to learn this on a very hard way, coz our family may be considered as middle class but in terms of extra income to buy some things that we need, we cannot afford to do it immediately, the reason for that is we need to consider some areas in our finances before doing that and it would at least take a year to buy what we need so we really have to step up and come up with another source of income or side hustles to shorten that time frame.
