Hello,
I'm trying to run a full node on debian by just runnning bitcoind, but its stuck around 2015/16 forever.
Does it really have to verrify everything from the beginning?

Can I somehow get a full node downloaded faster? Is it even possible to download the whole blockchain in its current state?

I want it so I can submit blocks I mined.

Thank you.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Is it "stuck" or is it "slow"?

If you want to run a full node and don't rely on others: yes.

Find the bottleneck in your setup and fix it. It could be your internet speed, HDD, lack of RAM, low dbcache or other processes that consume resources. Without sharing system specs, it can be anything.

Yes. With modern hardware and fast internet it's possible within a day.

Considering the questions you're asking, I highly doubt you're mining blocks. What did you do?

I"ll try prunenode.
I"m using a seedbox with lots of storage, and ram, and top isn"t showing much CPU usage... weird

If the seedbox has lots of disk I/O already, your disk may be the bottleneck. Bitcoin Core is very demanding while syncing.

Does your host allow this? If not, your account may disappear soon.

I"ll try prunenode.
You have to download the blockchain even if you only set up your Bitcoin prune node. Your problem is your device can not run well to sync it with the blockchain. With prune node, you will have problems if your device lost electricity when it is on and running.

[Guide] How to run a Bitcoin Core full node for under 50 bucks!

You can do it with not too big finance budget and the guide can help you with limited budget.

I want it so I can submit blocks I mined.

Could you give us more details about that ?

If you're running a Bitcoin full node using bitcoind, it may take some time to fully sync the blockchain, especially if you're starting from a very distant starting point like 2015/16.

The sync process requires the download and verification of all blocks and transactions from the creation of the blockchain up to the current most recent block.  This can take a long time, depending on the speed of your internet connection, the performance of your system, and the amount of data that needs to be downloaded and verified.

I"ll try prunenode.

Interestingly, Bitcoin Node Sync does not require heavy CPU usage.  Most of the workload is on the hard drive I/O operations, as the node has to download, verify and store the blockchain data.

Make sure you have correctly configured your node with reduced mode by using the -prune=<size> command line option, where <size> represents the amount of space you want to allocate for the blockchain.
