The channel of transfer is the blockchain and Bitcoin transaction is basically the transfer of information (data) acorss publicly available addresses. This data is verified and stored by nodes who ensure the authenticity of any data shared.

What sort of correlation are you looking for between Bitcoin and telecommunication?

Telecommunication is a digital avenue where information is passed across from one end which is the sender to another end the receiver, bitcoin is a digital decentralized currency, whose network rely on the operation of blockchain technology, were we are able to make transactions of bitcoin from one person the sender to another person the receiver through their wallet addresses on the blockchain, bitcoin channel of transfer is the blockchain technology, p2p network is the route, while telecommunication is a centralized network, which does not rely on blockchain technology but they are both digital means but different networks.

Here is a good read on how Bitcoin is related to telecommunications:

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/blockchain-telecom-industry-golam-dastagir
https://cointelegraph.com/news/how-bitcoin-disrupts-telecommunications
https://www.thekickassentrepreneur.com/bitcoin-and-telecommunications/

Since Bitcoin is a blockchain technology it can help greatly in telecommunication by:

  • Securing messages
  • Securing VoIp
Quote
Blockchain technology can have an important role in reducing the risk of interoperability. It will help to create a standard communication protocol that will ensure the existence of decentralized apps across an interoperable network.

This will also help facilitate social communication across apps. Bitcoin and blockchain tend to grow across different sectors. Businesses across different sectors should identify how these technologies will be helpful.

In this article: https://www.wipro.com/business-process/blockchain-in-telecom-do-we-want-to-take-that-jump/

It clearly explained how a Blockchain technology can solve some problems in telecommunication

Quote
1. Network & infrastructure – Telcos are complex and they require significant infrastructure projects and investments. Almost all telecom organizations have undergone the 4G/LTE network set up and by the time they reap benefits, we already have 5G coming in forcing them to upgrade again.
2. Business/operation support systems – Existing technologies are not collaborative, stubborn and protected. They have always resulted in poor customer experience, have poor implication on profit & loss statements due to leakages and process inefficiencies.
3. Price wars – the slurry of new age telecom providers entering the market has made the end customers spoilt. With service providers having to almost unanimously give abundant free calls and data packages to the consumers, we are looking at underutilized data, calls, SMSs from almost all subscribers.
4. Frauds: According to a report released by Deloitte1, Communication Service Providers (CSP) lose ~ USD 40 Bn every year due to fraudulent activities.

This also stated the use case of Blockchain tech on Telecom
Quote
Use cases in telecom

With the multiple pain points coming, we also have emerging technologies like Blockchain that helps CSPs to work and keep themselves profitable and relevant in the market. In this section we will try and correlate the use case as per the pain points mentioned in the section above:

  • Almost all organizations started to board the 4G/LTE train when it began. The investments were significant, and the ROI was barely making it. Competition is anyway quite high and then you have heavily invested entrants who are willing to bleed the competition to death. (Jio can be a great example in India). It is all but natural for organizations to start sharing the new infra costs. The term coined “sharing economy” brings in its own complications and challenges. Multiple vendors and contracts are the norm in this scenario. How does Blockchain help? Due to its decentralized features and transparency, Blockchain allows a level playing field for telecom players.
  • In the business/operation support systems scenario, you could look at services provided by Telcos as a complex ecosystem when it let’s say undergoes the entire Quote to Cash value stream. The entire ecosystem is complex with multi-threaded supply chain ecosystem that requires interdependent teams. Blockchain would enable use cases where telcos will be able to remove middlemen in inter carrier settlements, prevent fraud during roaming and mobile number portability processes. It can also solve process inefficiencies by building efficient supply chain systems.
  • Fraud prevention is another use case that Telcos are depending on Blockchain to help cater to. If we have to calculate fraud costs – we are looking at ~ USD 40 billion (Deloitte) annually. Using Blockchain we can look at significantly decreasing the cost of fraud in roaming and in identity management.
  • Micropayments – This is another fantastic use case currently in use for multiple telecom operators. The telecom organizations can utilize Blockchain to enable these payments for OTT services such as payment wallets, music applications, games etc. These services along with user to user monetary transfer services can result in positive revenues for the service provider and hence impact the company in a positive manner.
  • Smart contracting – automation of internal processes through Blockchain. We can look at processes such as billing, roaming and supply chain management. The present transactions operate through ledgers that need to undergo a clearing house to get approved. By using Blockchain, Smart Contracts can automate this process and guarantee the settlement between the participants, by routing from one operator’s Blockchain to another operator and increase transparency to the end customer. Assume a subscriber is operating while on roaming and dials out on the phone network. This transaction is logged on the Blockchain network (from the call being picked up to the call being ended) and saved. The smart contract rules define the charges and the payment is registered. The transparency from point A -Z ensures the integrity of the transaction.

I mean it doesn't relate to telecommunication at all. I kinda understood your question, maybe you meant to ask how it actually works on the Blockchain.

Blockchains in simple terms can be a chain of blocks, and all those blocks include some data (transactions) from the users, these blocks are then solved by the miners which reward them with Bitcoin. And miners are key role in the Bitcoin. Without them, your transaction will not be processed and that's why it's Proof of Work.

Aside from running a full node where it will connected with other node to increase the decentralization, Bitcoin can be used as a telecommunication if you sign a message. You can write a message and you need to give him the key in order to verify your message, so he will know if it was written by you except the wallet is compromised.

How does Bitcoin relate to telecommunications?

The bitcoin network is accessed through a telecommunication ISP. Bitcoin users, developers etc need internet connection to keep nodes running, send transaction or messages across the network. The relationship is one way; bitcoin depend so much on telecommunication and telecommunication doesn't depend on bitcoin to function. The link shared by forum members above, talks about telecommunication platforms looking to integrate blockchain technology, which would help expand bitcoin technology and also improve the security of telecommunication platforms.

Bitcoin also have a network or channel of transfer?

Yeah Bitcoin is a network of blocks that helps the transfer of data in a decentralized and secure form.

According to the Big Dictionary of the language of my country, this is about long-distance communication via wire (telegraph, telephone) and radio (source: https://kbbi.web.id/telekomunikasi). A detailed explanation can be drawn your own conclusions about telecommunications at this link to avoid misunderstandings in understanding what you mean.

At first glance, the relationship between bitcoin and telecommunications can be linked to the act of signing a message or the act of verifying it.
Signing activity messages on bitcoin addresses lead me to think there is something in common with your intentions.

Very thoughtful of you to have analysed this for the ops,  and instead of ops asking the question of the relationship between Bitcoin and communication he should rephrase it to What role can blockchain play for users' data protection and analysis in telecommunication?
Such could have provoked a lot of discussions, suggestions and several other opinions from forum members on that subject matter, Bitcoin may not appear to play any role or relate to communication since Bitcoin is a financial tool used for the P2P transfer method, and since bitcoin is not yet globally accept we don't have any telecommunication company that accept Bitcoin as a direct payment to load airtime or pay bills on their channels.

Absolutely, Bitcoin does have its own network. How could transfers happen if it doesn't? This network consists of two main nodes: Full Nodes and Lightweight Nodes. Many articles explore this topic, and you could search the internet for more information.

I do not perceive any direct relationship between Bitcoin and Telecommunication. However, a connection could exist if telecommunication companies allow payments using Bitcoin. The concept of decentralization can also be applied to the way telecom is used. Some telecom companies or capable individuals might even consider adopting a decentralized approach. Furthermore, the telecommunications industry can draw lessons from Bitcoin's robust privacy and security measures and

Bitcoin is a peer to peer network. Typically its channel of communication is the Internet, but it's not limited to it. There's a satellite that broadcasts blocks, and it's possible to send transactions via mesh networks, so combining these two methods together you can use Bitcoin without the Internet, just with some equipment. Here's an article about it

I think OP is confused about the Bitcoin network and telecommunication network which is far different and has different functions.

You should read the Bitcoin whitepaper OP so that you'll better understand how Bitcoin works.
The primary purpose of the Bitcoin network is to facilitate the decentralized transfer of digital currency like Bitcoin in between users.  It achieves this through a distributed ledger called the blockchain, where transactions are recorded in a secure and tamper-resistant manner.  While on the other hand telecommunications networks are designed to transmit various types of information, such as voice, data, and multimedia, between users across long distances.  They encompass a wide range of technologies and services, including telephone networks, internet protocols, satellite communications, and more.

So IMO, there's no correlation between them.

I could have asked you to quickly use the engine search to get a quick answer that would explain many things you don't know about Bitcoin and telecommunication. You could also see there differences which will aid you to get a proper explanation to what you intend to understand as a newbie that is ready to learn crypto. Bitcoin requires the Blockchain to be completed because that is what process and keep records of our transaction without altering it.

Hello, all forum members, I hope you guys are doing great.
I have a little question for you guys regarding Bitcoin. How does Bitcoin relate to telecommunications?
I want a brief explanation because I am thinking that since telecommunications involves networks and means of communication, does Bitcoin also have a network or channel of transfer?

Since bitcoin relays everything thru internet, then obviously that's where the telecommunication part comes in. Infrastructure are needed, networks and it's connection need to be steady and uptime is the utmost goal here so that everything is smooth and seamless. So when we send bitcoin from one address to another, we need connections so that the transaction can go into the blockchain and confirmed fast or slow depending on the network fees that you used.
