So it seems that I have had my electrum wallet hacked and lost 1.45 btc, perhaps my fault for not being vigilante enough. But after 2 years of being scammed, ripped off and everything else, I have had it with bitcoin et al. Good luck all!

Well I was just thinking of getting an electrum wallet.  I guess the only safe place to put your bitcoins is in cold storage or in paper wallets. No matter how safe any site claim they be, all they need to say is: "Sorry, we've been hacked" and poof! all your bitcoins gone with no hope of getting the back while they get off scot-free.

+1  I have left this community before  Roll Eyes  I came back, After realizing it was more my misplaced trust than being scammed.

Now, I limit the amount of accounts (I.E. dont register for every new site that comes along) and have a long unique pass for each site I use. along with PGP and 2PA, I have daily withdrawals everywhere, And I store on cold wallets.
