So, there is a guy in my current signature campaign who has been caught plagiarizing a couple of times.

Unfortunately, I have to announce that ItsCrafty is leaving the campaign - without pay.
The reason is a double case of plagiarism within one week (this was also reported to the moderator).

You can see in the thread that the user has not been banned and is asking for forgiveness to see if icopress will accept him back.

I think you are talking about posts i posted in my local board. Mostly i shared their local news and technology information. i change news to my own sample word. Although i deleted all my posts as i was not aware that it is also against the rule.

I wish I am not fired from this compaign and wishing for one chance. I should be punished for cancelling one week salary because of not fulfilling compaign rules. Thanks

Seeing this, I thought that it is likely that the couple of cases of plagiarism is just the tip of the iceberg and I took a look at his post history. What I see is that the account was created in 2017 by someone who is an English native speaker or with a very high level of English, who used to write in some specific boards, and, after a posting gap between 2018 and August 2021, there is a change in the boards where he posts and a change in the style of writing, being the first post this one:

For me it is clear that one does not become a worse English speaker in a few years, if anything the opposite, you can see people on the forum whose posts years ago were written with poor English, but over time they have improved because they have learned more English or use tools like automatic translators, which today are very reliable.

The account does not belong at the present to the person who created it.

I ask for your opinion on the subject, especially those of you who have more experience in catching alts and with address analysis, before taking an aggressive approach or opting for a neutral tag.

But crafty's active until 2022 and I don't see anything password or email change. crafty's claimed he's from US, he posted it on 2018, while ItsCrafty is from Pakistan.

Now I know what has happened. I am from US EDT timezones. For me the 31st March posts are actually from two different days 🙁. You can clearly see a well over 12 hours time gap between those posts.

So, who's got hacked and who's the real owner?

Let's assuming his account was changed hands, some users will say there's no problem about it since the account don't have any positive feedback and he just want to make money in this forum. If he's not found cheated a campaign, I think we can let alone him.

Account obviously changed hands, no questions about it as English level deteriorated noticeably and that's something that doesn't happen (unless owner suffered from stroke or some similar far fetched scenario).

If you had only looked at icopress' quote above, you would have seen that he was already reported, but with the lenient approach to plagiarism that moderation seems to be taking lately, he has been spared a ban, at least for the moment.

I wanted to wait to see if there is more evidence about the purchase of the account or something, but it is clear that the account is not operated by whoever created it. Normally it would be bought or hacked, but if there has been no complaint from the original owner I would opt for bought. In any case, mainly because of that and the plagiarism, for me who operates that account is not trustworthy, he does not hesitate to take shortcuts to make money on the forum.

But the claim isnt valid, ItsCrafty signs the message using an address that Crafty never used. And twitter account is certainly not strong enough for account recovery.
Just making light guesses, ItsCrafty was indeed created by the user behind Crafty and then either hand-transferred or hacked (but didn't bother restoring it) because it's only an alternate or temporary account.

If with reasonable evidence he is suspected of trying to recover an account that isn't really his, then that's a violation.

If the account was bought, it is a much smaller mistake compared to the plagiarism he was accused of. Proven plagiarism (which is not that difficult to prove) leads directly to a ban, the way in which the person who currently manages the account came to control it, is completely negligible.

The absence of a complaint by the original owner does not mean that it did not happen. A large number of accounts are neglected or inactive and their owners probably don't even think about them. The only investigation that makes sense here is whether there are alt accounts connected to the person behind ItsCrafty, mostly for the reasons of mistrust you mentioned.

crafty was use 1CRe... address since 2013, so I think even though ItsCrafty use a different address, it doesn't matter since it's belong to same wallet.

Everyone can say that, you need to convince @PlayPoker, for this accusation, they doubt your account, no need to say blah, blah, blah nobody believes it, unless you can prove that you are the real owner and vice versa.

If you are the original owner of the @ItsCrafty account, you can certainly re-verify it, if you are not the original owner, obviously you cannot do that.

But you, taking advantage of the fact that almost no one can understand your posts (except users in the Pakistani section) plagiarized and thought you would not be exposed. Be thankful you weren't banned at all.

With the lenient approach that the forum has lately about plagiarism and the lack of clear criteria, as some people get banned, and others don't, I think I'm right to leave the feedback.

A part of the problem this thread has is that people do actually move across town, the county or even the planet...  ... and ensuring you have a specific wallet addresses PrivKeys five, ten twenty years into the future in case someone decides they doubt who you are and demand you sign from an old wallet address ... are some of you saying you've NEVER lost a wallet through an upgrade or system crash?

Well, he wrote everything correctly that he reported to a moderator. What I meant was that I was the one who didn't report the case in the moderator section. Why I didn't do that I wrote in the post you quoted. And I, unfortunately, do not have the authority to ban users with that rank. I haven't risen to the rank of global moderator yet

Yep, that's the problem as once someone deletes his plagiarized post, he can't be banned or bare any pther consequence whatsoever and I personally don't understand the logic behind it. Unless they think that is a slight chance that members who are archiving posts might tamper with it.

ItsCrafty as for me you have said nothing here. Do you really understand the concept of the thread at all?

This is a very straight forward question of Yes or No. If it is yes the  you give your explanation and if it is no then you still give your explanation. But you are beating around the bush of deviating from the original content to bounty discussion, or should I call your attention back to the main issue here? Your utterances are not encouraging and convincing.
If your articulations are good to convince then the Op will remove the negative trust but you have not helped any matter here. I don't know if other people are convinced with what you have said.
