Bringing topics that are useful and not existing on this forum will help you. But, first of all, be attentive to posts that are merited, check how the posts that are giving merits are. Learn from established members, the more you read their posts the more you know better. Use bitcoin on wallets like Bitcoin Core, Electrum, Trezor and the ones you have interest in. The experience you have about the wallets will help you. But what that matters most is for you to learn from what established members that are receiving merit are posting.

If I can deduce from your post, what i understand is the fact that you are looking for a way to grow in ranks. Having made up to 30 post and still lack merits. First I sniped into your post history and saw that you’re mostly active in the bitcoin discussion board and, the politics and society board. The former board actually gains attention but that if you engage or create meaningful threads and not making repeated threads, as for the latter it doesn’t get much attention by merit source because most of the topics there are off bitcoin related and some merit source deem it not worthy for merit.

To add to what Charles-Tim has said I would just advise you to post less and gain more knowledge about the forum and bitcoin itself. Once you acquire this little knowledge you can be able to make contributions by either helping people with there questions or create threads that is beneficial to the forum.
Been eager to grow in ranks only gets you to break some forum rules that could possibly get you banned, be calm and learn

You can’t contribute much with little knowledge. You can use the forum broaden your knowledge since almost every important information about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general is already posted here.

You can use this knowledge that you accumulate here to share it to other newbie like you when they are asking or when you are in discussion on other user in different threads. You should do a lot of research and don’t be contented on your limited knowledge if you want to contribute because everyone here is already familiar on crypto basic knowledge.

Do research, accumulate knowledge and past the torch to other user. That’s how the forum work.

No offense, but when I checked your profile, you mostly posted on Politics & Society? Why is that so? This community is so rich with discussions about Bitcoin and Altcoin and if you want to grow then you have to explore other boards as well.

Just be yourself, don't put to much pressure on yourself, and as I have said, it's better if you will go around and play with this community first. Just continue to accumulate knowledge here. You may want to to bookmark topics that are interesting to you and then comeback to read it.

And if there is something not clear to you, then ask, simply as that.

Keep on researching and more reading, most of them should be interesting topics and the current trend in the crypto market. Since you've said contribute, you've got little or big knowledge and if you've seen that knowledge hasn't been shared by someone then do the intiative to share it to the community and that's a contribution. If you're more into Politics and Society discussion then focus in there if that's what you think you'll excel and not just that, make sure that you're enjoying discussing those topics there. When you talk about growth in the forum do you really mean growing in knowledge or merit? Having made up to 30 post I believe you have gotten some insight on how things are done here but if not, I will encourage you to do more of reading, give your attention and concentration on getting more knowledge of cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin and when you have information that can bring solutions to the problem or answer to the question of users of the forum then you will be regarded as a good forum member. As a newbie do what your rank says, read all the rules, and accustom yourself to following all the rules here so many forum rule breakers are from members who failed to read and practice the rules when they are new to this forum, they just post do their things and they just realized it when their posts are deleted and eventually banned.
After reading and absorbing all the rules here you can share what you know about any subject here in this forum.
I'm sure you're going to be a good member of this forum, when new members asked and search for what needs to be done to contribute to this forum, end up being a good contributor to this forum.

The first basic thing to do as a newbie is to understand the concept on how the Forum works, the forum has so many posting section that has rules and guidelines, try and deduse your words to be very understandable.

What is your definition of growth on this forum and why do you really think you have to do anything publicly on this forum?
If I don't understand something enough, I simply learn from others, and read other people's posts and thoughts.
When you learn enough about a topic, you will be able to participate in the discussion and give your opinion.
There's really no need to rush, take the time you need, follow the different topics on the forum and when you've learned enough, share your thoughts with us

Just be yourself, do not chase anything without asking, some questions might sound stupid to you but still ask so that you get people's opinions and that could help you a lot, also if you know more about a question that's been asked then contribute, that's how you will grow higher on the forum.

You must have a reason for been on here, and I remember that the first time I came on here was about crypto investment and to my surprise this forum is all in one package with everything crypto-related, I was able to learn more than just crypto investment, I learn more about crypto mining and crypto trading.

Don't respond if you don't have enough information to share on the discussion. But, I'll advise you to create threads on helpful bitcoin tips for newbies, always check if such thread already exists before creating the thread. Duplicated threads can be removed or locked. If crawling all the sections in the forum is tiring, you can focus on few boards that seem easier to contribute and share your thoughts. In a short period, your account activity and brain will adapt to the forum. It get easier everyday, but a bit difficult to come back if you break the daily posting routine.

You are just two months old in the forum and seem to be worried about why you have not gotten any merit after about thirty-two posts. I  can see from your post that you are putting some effort to make meaningful posts. I checked through your post history and I just gave you your first merit. You need to be dedicated to learning from others on the forum and do your research.

Merit shouldn't be your target but how to learn and contribute meaningfully to the forum. This is because you will get enough merit if your post answers a question, add value or bring something new to the forum. Don't restrict yourself to one or two boards, because with a dedication to learning you can contribute to more boards. You have come to a school, so learning is the first and last rule.

I think the orientation starts with reading all pinned posts of different boards around the forum to help in guiding everyone of us in the do's and don'ts of the forum for starters. By so doing , you won't be caught unaware of vices such as plagiarism, spam etc and also find your strengths, if you are into altcoins...we have a board for that, if mining or coin collectables is your thing there is something for you here its all about finding your strengthsa and building on it.

First you need to familiarize yourself with the rule of the forum.  It is the first step in securing your stay here in the forum.  Second, exercise reading more than posting, because it is where we learned more about the forum environment, members traits and the member interaction.  Reading can also help us accumulate tons of information and knowledge.  If you learned enough, look for the opportunity to help others by giving answers to their inquiries. 

You can also present a good topic for discussion but before creating one, make sure to use search function to see if there is already an existing topic and depending on the age of the topic, you might make and additional input on that topic or create your topic if the existing one is too old.

Visit your local board and communicate with the community over there, you'll see members like yourself and they can guide you properly on how to navigate the forum since you're finding it very difficult as you said. Take away earning from your mindset as that's one of the major things limiting members growth on the forum. Build your account before you think of monetizing it with the signature campaign available. Learn before you want to earn and follow the forum rules and regulations so you don't regret making avoidable mistakes. Look for the board of your strength and concentrate your writing their while you also visit other board to gain additional wisdom.

When you concentrate your writing on the board of your strength, you gain awareness on that board due to the quality of your posting and your posts get highlighted with merits. For the other boards you have little or no knowledge on, focus more on reading instead of trying to impact knowledge that you don't have yet unless you want to sound stupid while doing so and get on many people ignore list and meriters blacklisting you for been a spammer or generic poster. You don't have to rush the forum because no matter how fast you grow in merit, it'll still take you some months before you can receive something meaningful for your signature space. multiply read what is in the forum and make you interested. it will grow your knowledge which will help you grow in the community and be active in forum discussions.
some people find it easier to get started in their local forum, it's very easy to get referrals from seniors. and of course, if you want to rank up, you can see some members rank up pretty fast. learn how they got it all. but don't be too hasty, just enjoy yourself in the forum. there is a lot of information that you can get. if you're on a forum chasing something, it's just going to make it harder for you to grow.

After reading the rules, ask yourself this question: what is my goal and purpose on why I joined this forum?

After knowing what your goal is, it is now your duty and responsibility to at least know yourself with the basic fundamentals of cryptocurrencies. You can start by utilizing the search bar for questions that you have in mind. You can also watch videos on YouTube or read free materials on the internet to familiarize yourself with all the terminologies so you won't be confused here.

After reading and arming such with information, you can know create threads or comment on boards to provide discussion about a certain topic. Be reminded that before you post any question, check first if it has been asked before to avoid any spams and duplicates.

The orientation you need are in the Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ. So far, you have made 32 posts so far and more than 50% of your posts are in Politics & Society, you won’t be getting much merits for talking about politics in a bitcoin forum. I suggest you increase your horizon and explore other boards, you don’t have to make topics or engage discussions in all the forum but you should definitely visit different sections of the forum and read the topics there, as you become more knowledgeable on various subjects you will find your posts to be more constructive and helpful to other members.

I think you don't have to be trustworthy to build a profile here in this forum unless you have the intention to sell service or trade here. OP can gain knowledge about this forum by only reading previously created threads and replying on them if you need further information about that specific topic. After all it is just a forum where people discuss and talk about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, you don't need to standout to contribute, you can contribute with what you have.

Well you still have about 35 post and about 5 merits ranking you up to junior member and I think you're ready growing in a nice pace so no need wanting to stress yourself but just as other members have suggested and advised you, there is nothing really special  you have to so but to bring in meaningful  topics to the forum possibly the ones not yet discussed on the forum and also try as much as possible  to read contents of members you see as established members and also try to study how best they make their post  and somehow, you'll  be on a nice path to success.
Away from from all of this, simply just make meaningful post on the forum and try to study rather than wanting g to jump on every thread.
