I use twitter. When you create an account select what sources you are interested in such as business and finance and you will get a good feed. You can also follow some posters who are in the crypto scene.

There is also coin desk and coin telegraph which you can use but keep in mind it’s delayed. Twitter is usually pretty quick, usually in a few minutes you will know why something happens while a news report will take a few hours.
Twitter has become a favorite place for bots and fake news, in which you will find all the information, but verifying its authenticity is getting more difficult with the days, so you need a manual search that may take a lot of your time, this difficulty increases if you are looking for information about altcoins and not about Bitcoin.

Twitter is a good distraction tool, as you may move from the news side to trends, which the site will try to show you, no matter how much you try to show interest in a specific topic, so as an investor who has limited time to review the news and wants to make decisions based on it, Twitter is not the ideal place.

A. who decides whats financially relevant
B. if an app finds this information, collates it, checks validity, then publishes it. the information is already redundant because smart people have already seen the information from source and acted on it

in short by the time the public find out about information, the institutions have already read about it, acted on it and are too late to respond to events that have already been countered by institutions that acted first

a prime example is with the commodities of wheat/orange juice..
imagine the public is waiting for a report about the crop yeilds of a harvest to estimate the scarcity of a commodity per season.. thinking that when a report says its been a bad year that it will send prices up.. however imagine institutions have been watching the weather patterns and stuff for months before. and so already seen its a bad season. and already bought while cheap sending the prices up 2 months ago... the report wont cause much more pump. because the pump already occured. and by the time the report is out the institutions that already bought futures contracts late spring are targetting their deadline to sell a few days after the official report announcement thus a flood of sales occur instead of buys. and the price goes down instead of up

so now while people were thinking that hearing some official report on some app would send prices up in late summer because the report went public on some app in late summer. yet the cause and effect of markets has already happened late spring. and so the late summer results are a price drop, not hype

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Hey All,
Can you recommend website / app that monitors upcoming financial events that impact global finances ? Like example upcoming US FED interest rates decision on Wednesday, next year BTC halving etc. Is there an app that help keep tract, set mobile alerts etc ? What are you using ? I'm just wondering if there is one stop shop for that type of info vs. collecting all the knowledge from news, tweets, socials ...
Thanks
M
I haven't found one reliable app that could do everything i want, but i am using shared google spread sheet and calendar with a group of friends that we update from various sources manually. To put in halvings, upcoming legistlations, halvings, airdrops etc.

Twitter used to be fastest way to get news alerts, these days it's just a confusing place full of trolls and none of my filtering seems to make it better. So i stick with browsing biggest news sites that are focused on economy. Those are pretty much a matter of taste and there's no "right" one to follow.

You also might want to google "Economic Calendar" of your liking to follow.

You can never depend on an app. Because you have to accept what an app shows you. It can lead you in the wrong direction. So you can keep various blog web side notifications on. You will get messages when it is updated.
The creation of apps, blogs, and websites is the work of human beings. When it comes to choosing between an app and a blog, you can determine which one is more reliable by examining the feedback and credibility of the platform. It's not about blindly accepting news circulating on apps, as I believe everyone tends to be skeptical about such matters. However, the original poster (OP) desires easier access to event updates, considering the high mobility of people nowadays.

Notifications from blogs or websites don't provide a solution either, as you would be delayed in making decisions when the news is released. On the other hand, having knowledge of event schedules allows you to anticipate what needs to be done in the near future more easily.

This is why you need to follow the right accounts. The one I can think of is “Autism capital” and their reports are almost always accurate and pretty timely. There are also a few other dedicated crypto news accounts.

There are many bots and many fake news however that’s only if you search by #Bitcoin but if you follow reliable users then you won’t have this issue.

I always Google, "World news now". Most times, I do not always set out with a particular news outlet in mind. I use Google and let it led me.  I refine my search keywords as I go to help me find the latest and most accurate financial news. At other times, I go straight to the news website. It could be that I have read a snippet or excerpt of their news article online. Maybe even a recommendation. Sometimes, my news sources are pure visual - YouTube and there are lots of them both independent and other news sources. By the way, is there a preference in this case...i feel that some popular news channels may be biased in their reporting due to regulations, but independent sources say it as it is. When I am on the road, I try listening to news on the radio too.

The truth be told, Its best done manually through research as most apps only give you information to the extent of their coverage and relevance, if you need a widespread of information, you'd need to frequently engage in research that will give you a well covered decision process tailor made to suit your quest. Some of these news are not covering every information needed and even the ones that do in-depth reporting focus on a particular area of reporting.

I also spend most of my time on twitter following world news and crypto market news. Many people criticize Twitter for having too many bots, scams, and fake news, but we also need to recognize that breaking news is usually updated very quickly and possibly the fastest I know. You're right, if we follow carefully selectively, avoiding fake news shouldn't be too difficult.
Also, I think Reddit is also a good place to follow world news and also a very good place to judge the authenticity of the news.

Following news from a single source or application can sometimes mislead us. You can search many things and add them as a reminder to your phone and set an alarm. The updates of some applications may be delayed and may cause you to receive vital news late. In order not to fall into such a situation, I recommend that you first make a note on your phone and set an alarm for important dates.

For current events, I often get news from the pages I follow on Twitter. The number of these pages is quite large and there is little risk of missing them. You can also choose this way.

Your view on single-source news reliance holds weight. A multi-pronged news digestion strategy is critical. Yet, your solution’s efficacy is doubtful. Reminders for pivotal dates may work for personal agendas, but for the ever-changing news landscape, it seems ill-suited. News is unpredictable and setting reminders seems impractical. Twiter, while buzzing with immediate updates, can also harbor misinformation and echo chambers. So, infusing our news habits with skepticism and analytical thinking, regardless of platform, is essential.

Not sure if this was given already but the first thing that came to my mind when it comes to this matter is Bloomberg. I first see them in the local TV but I'm sure that we can also find them online. Next would be is the Yahoo finance. I always see this when I search something related to finances.

I like your initiative of scouting for these sources because this can greatly help you in your prediction or if what decision you are going to make before the movement in the price happens. Many of us may not really be aware with it, so thanks for giving us an idea or reminding us about it. So far, we are only busy on watching charts or focusing mostly on the technical part and not in the fundamentals.
