The match between Germany Women vs Colombia Women saw a fair amount of aggression between the two teams towards the end. After a great fight by both sides, the match is still a draw with players from both teams performing well. A goalless start to the first half went into the second half, when the Colombia women's team scored a goal in the 52nd minute. And then the Germany women's team attacked enough to level the game at 1-1 in the 89th minute. Although there were enough attacks between the two teams in the last minute, neither team managed to score a goal. In the last minute of the overtime, the Colombia women's team made enough attacks to score another goal to take a 2-1 lead. A last minute goal put Colombia women ahead of Germany women and today Colombia women definitely managed to win.

That is not aggressive in my opinion. I witnessed pure energy from but teams while watching them play, the two teams are good and measured their energy during the game was the same, but in attacks and defense, the ladies world cup appears to be more serious than the boys world cup.It's extremely challenging I was astounded by their defense scheme women do better than men, but Germany's players are good before the game, I underestimated Colombia's players. And Colombian players finish 2:1 despite how tight as well as challenging it was to score, they performed admirably. The game is getting more interesting.

Thats a remarkable score with only 23% possession, that proves you dont have to have the majority

Unfortunately, Canada, which was predicted to qualify from the group phase, failed to do so after suffering a crushing defeat to host Australia, Australia played very well even though, they only relied on counterattacks but it was a very effective counterattack. 4 goals without reply knocked Canada out because Nigeria would qualify with Australia to the knockout stage.

Group C: Spain and Japan will qualify (One game left for the teams in the group, but these two teams already have six points each already)

Australia's 0-4 win over Canada was truly remarkable and they were selected for the knockout stages. Australia topped Group B in terms of points with 6 points which enabled the Australia Women's team to advance to the knockout stages. If Canada would have won today's match then maybe they would have gone to town but unfortunately they couldn't score any goals. Canada's points were 4 where they finished third in Group B but were eliminated after losing to Australia before they progressed to the knockout stages. However, Australia produced a brilliant attack that saw them selected for the knockout stages, much to the delight of the Australian women.

From the replay of the match, Ireland possessed ball more than Nigerian Super Falcons and the Super Falcons played a defensive game and they got the highest "shots on target" and also "shots off target". Ireland Goalkeeper is good. Super Falcons are best in African Football so they have to maintain that standard in the international football games.

@elevates don't get wrong am not undermining possession in football it shows you're in control of the game on the pitch but what am saying is that the game between Japan and Spain with the ball possession percentage of 23% poorly not even average one may think that such possession can't earn you a win against n opponent like Spain not to talk of getting a score line of 4:0.
It's so shocking, and obvious that you can gain all the possession as you want but it doesn't mean you have won the match, and Japan just proved it, we shouldn't always push outcomes like this to luck all the time.

Both what you said for Nigeria and England is correct, but one thing will be different after the group stage and that is the performance level of some teams who underperformed in the group stage. Nigeria has done very well in their defense as they also had the best defense during the group stage. But to knock out England, it takes a lot when you make it to the final rounds. Defense is the most important part as it can carry you during a game and make the English team nervous once Nigeria keeps a clean sheet for longer than one half of the game. But It will be so much more difficult to not concede a goal against England during the full 90 minutes and if it happens, they have to score themselves and this is where I am rather pessimistic for Nigeria.

WOW! Japan women performed greatly in the game between them and Spain women. I have not seen women football team has done what Japan women did to Spain. According to the commentator, Japan has not loss any the matches they have played so far. That is they have not received any goal in their net. Football is a game luck as some said it but I also believe on their skills as well. When a team play well with their skills then goal is sure but if there is no luck them that day, even with their skills they can still loss. So luck is part the game. So what am I saying, Japan women players have the skills and also have the luck to win all their matches.the second Team I am also supporting is Nigerian women team, they are paying in the tournament. I will like to see Japan women and Nigerian women to play the final.
