The work they have done in the Champions League so far isn't that bad either. I didn't like their performance only against Dortmund. If they were more stable with their effort then maybe they would have collected more points there.

I think Manchester City will not let defeat happen at home, but even if Manchester City wins this match, Leipszig can still qualify for the round of 16 because the other two rivals seem difficult to beat these two clubs and I believe Group G only has Manchester City and Leipzig who can qualify for the next round of the Champions League.

They will beat Royal Antwerp and that means they will be 12 points, and there are 2 games left, which means that Shaktar will have to win both of their games, which is difficult considering one of them is Porto, so if Porto loses, then they would be the one to lose.

However, there is technically a situation where all three of them finish with 12 points if I am not wrong. How? Well Porto would beat Barcelona, make them 12 points, lose to Shaktar, and then Shaktar could beat Antwerp and Porto, make them 12 points, and Barcelona lose to Porto, but win Antwerp and be 12 points. I seriously doubt that would be the case, but if it is, that would be fun to see without a doubt.

It's almost impossible for us to see this, but miracles can happen in football. It could be really fun if we see something like this.
If Barcelona does not make a ridiculous mistake and can get 3 points against Porto, then we will see a group end as we expected, and the fight between Porto and Shaktar will be nice. But if Porto wins the next game then things could really change. We may see changes in the rankings until the last match.

Yes, Newcastle has the money, at least to a reasonable extent that they can buy players, yet you can't blame them for trying to pocket most of it, as winning is important, making money and conserving as much as possible is also important, just like how Dortmund does. The side effect of this is at times when the trusted players don't live up to the expectations, there are times they will perform beyond expectations too. So, I don't blame clubs anymore for not buying big names, you can use the cases of Man U and Chelsea to judge why, at times it's not the star of the player but the quality and how the player is determined to deliver. Besides, I've always known that Newcastle can not deliver when it comes to UCL and I didn't expect them to displace Dortmund in UCL who has the experience of the tournament more than them.

This is not the entire yardstick to judge, regardless, the Newcastle of last season is not the same as this season, even before the last season ended their feats have been dwindling if you noticed. They were however impressive yesterday, I never knew they could beat Chelsea powerlessly like that. Most importantly, Chelsea doesn't have any excuses as the game was balanced with 1-1 in the first half but Newcastle was obviously better in the second half and only scored one goal more after Chelsea's red card, so no excuse for the blues. But still, this can't tell of what happens in the UCL, I don't think Newcastle can go farther than they are, and I expect AC Milan to still beat them overall when they meet.

At least before the crucial match in the Champions League group stage, Newcastle can get a complete victory in the domestic league which can also increase their confidence when they face PSG later. Even though there were doubts due to poor results in the domestic league, now Newcastle is starting to recover and PSG must be prepared to respond to the increase in performance from Eddie Howie's squad.

In the first round, Newcastle won a landslide win against PSG and this time Newcastle can do it again at PSG's home ground. Newcatle United have not made extraordinary improvements by recruiting many quality players and they are not unlikely to make significant changes by completely changing the way they recruit players like other teams have done. In the transfer market last summer newcastle united bought tonali for a big price and broke the club record transfer and that was a pretty good thing they did.
