Gambling is good but it can be said to be bad by people base on whoever that is close to them that gambles and how he takes or sees gamble. It is the irresponsible people that have been addicted to gamble and does all sort of illegal activities just to gamble. These type of people that see gambling as a means of making profit and keep in chasing their losses, will go at an extreme just to gamble.

I do gamble for fun and this hasn't cause any problem for my or my family after I cautioned myself and controlled my gambling activities. If I set out any amount for my weekly gambling activities, once the money is exhausted, I stop gambling till the next week. Any gambler that does evil in the name of gambling should quit gambling because it is not a healthy practice for him.

Well, yeah, one thing I am very sure of is the fact that a person don't just wake up one morning and decides he or she hates gambling and gamblers alike, and start advising his or her children, or maybe relations against gambling, their hatred for gambling and gambler does steam from somewhere, is either from what they've heard that a gambler did, or what they saw a gambler do in terms of the kind of lifestyle and behaviors the gambler exhibits in the society.

Like for example, I myself used the hate gamblers with passion, because I believe that all gamblers where criminals, touts, alcoholics, smokers, drug addicts, Infact, i used to see gamblers as  people with no future, until from my workplace, I became a friend to someone who was quite responsible, does not do all the bad things I thought gamblers do, and yet he gambles, it was through him I played my very first gambling game.

What the other person have experienced is out of his luck, but we expect the same to happen with us is simply not fair. This is the prime reason for which people get into gambling. A rather interesting topic but the obvious answer is just because it just feel that space of your mind that you are actually predicting a future occurance of something and that give the human thought so joy and that why its very fun to gamble but to some extent people actually gamble because of hope that they can hit their main target someday and this hope continues everyday in their lifes @HOPE

All these allegations you say about gambling are either misleading, or misdirected. Most of these "allegations" as you put it are nothing but down-on-their-luck gamblers throwing their whole bankroll in one go cause they're just belligerent like that. Sure there's downsides to gambling but if you're willing to take that stretch I'd say there's a cons to everything in life too! Why should it be that only gambling is to take the short end of the stick considering there are even more worse things out there that needs more focusing?

Plus all in all, gambling is nothing but a form of entertainment, people overlook that and see the gold pot at the end of the rainbow, which leads them to gamble for profit, and then leading to them losing their money to gambling and them blaming gambling for drying out their wallets. Which in the first place is of their own volition anyway and gambling's not in any way whatsoever related to their decision to spend that money up.

All I'm saying is, gambling is great in itself. As a form of entertainment it offers rest and relaxation, but if you think of it the wrong way and see it as another way to earn profits then that's where the problem comes in, and in my opinion in that kind of setting it's not gambling that needs to be stopped but the gambler itself.

Gambling is never been bad, it is really just that this kind of approach and insights towards it on what it considers it to be bad but its actually not. We do have that our personal views on things on which its not shocking into a society on which they've been really seeing that gambling is a bad thing and on the thing that they would be focusing is into those gambling addicts and on the time that they would assuming out that
once you do become addict then you would really be doing some criminal acts on which this had been already a fixed impression on why they do really ending up on this one. On also into the other side which

Probably it may happen to someone he knows. It can be in the scenario of someone's dad or mum knows about their is child gambling. Gambling is entertainment, pure and simple. Some people treat it like a trip to the cinema, they know that they're engaging in a simple transaction - handing over money to see a movie in an exclusive setting, they walk away happy with the exchange of money for the visual art. That sounded pretty specific and maybe something you have personally experienced. People gamble for same reason they do fun things: To pass the time.
It's not for everyone, but so is not gaming, boxing, smoking, watching tv climbing, paintball wars, drinking wine or race car driving. Some people have addictive personality, they need to choose healthy addictions if they want to stay healthy. Then there are people who gamble for fun and don't care what other people think. As long it's not hurting anyone i can't see any reason listening to people you described.

Well I think its all part of the human nature to actually do things that are entertaining, and for some peculiar reason most if not all human see gambling as a means of entertainment especially does who already have the money @DRAKE, despite the fact that some people have the money already they still just love to experience that feeling that is associated with gambling, that sudden rush of adrenaline when gambling just makes us alive and love the act even though it can be destructive to some extent.
