Learning about Bitcoin doesn't necessarily mean everyone who learns and knows about it should buy and hold it. Buying Bitcoin is not the only thing you can do; you can also earn it, mine it, and so on.

Let's use you as an example: you are wearing a signature for which you are being paid in Bitcoin at the end of every week. What does that tell you? Let me put it this way: It's just as if you learned a skill, and right now you are being paid for the good skills that you have learned.

Money and knowledge complete each other. Without knowledge, money will have no use to a person. It is because he won't know how to spend that money effectively. He will lose that money fast and end up a poor man. The person with knowledge on the other and may be unlucky in life or had some other problems and somehow he just couldn't generate good money. This guy however has a chance to get rich in the future because he is a "wise" man. Sooner or later he will figure out the problem and get rid of it Once that happens he will go straight to the top.

I mean it's opportunities with plural. There will be another chance for you to catch another great spot to buy later once you have money as long as Bitcoin still exists. While you are waiting then depends on what knowledge you have you can just do some freelance to actually gather some money for buying Bitcoin, there are tons of ways to get that and you can definitely do it if you can give little bit effort to it. It's not that you miss once the opportunity, you will miss the entire thing and end of the world. There will be another chance for you, such as in 2017 and 2021 or maybe later?

The knowledge alone is not a total waste, the knowledge of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency even before you have any money to invest can get you better prepared to spend wisely when you get any spare cash. Money complements the knowledge, because even having the money without knowledge of what to do with it like invest in bitcoins, you will only squander it on irrelevant things.

When you have knowledge and you have identified money as the problem, you will become more determined to find ways to generate money.

Knowledge without application is knowledge wasted, but if all you think about in the application department is "the profits" then you've got it all wrong dude. Not every endeavor you take should be about money, there are other much more important things at life, and not everything should revolve around money. Even the very act of presenting and being active in this forum shouldn't always be about money (I know I'm wearing a signature, deal with it), Although I'm open to hear about your reasoning why you think "not earning anything from what you do is a complete waste of effort." You may be right but I don't think it is in all circumstances. money is one of the important tools that we need to survive and make a proper decision as human.
If we have know and we don't have the money to bring our dream to reality, we can as well share our dreams with  reasonable people around us to help us and invest in our ideas to bring them to reality. This might be a difficult task to some people that had no one to talk to or share there ideas with.

 There are so many opportunities in the universe and most time getting to see the opportunity will need the help of people around us. This is one of the reasons why we need to share our ideas and our skills with people so when opportunity comes, it will not pass us bye.

You’re right on there mate. Knowledge is power so regardless if you have money or not, your knowledge will always give you an advantage especially in jobs where high knowledge and skills are required. However, if you are into an investment, I believe having a good amount of money is always an essential, but know that there are lot of bitcoin opportunities that will make you in profit. I totally agreed with your point but to some extent only because without knowledge your money is nothing  it has zero value. How? You will waste you money on useless things and will waste them by gaining no profits with them. That's why it will have zero value. And second thing is, even if you haven't money to buy the dip (which you really think is last dip and there will be none other in your thought) but have the knowledge of it, you still can make money by sharing the signals in paid groups, by teaching your strategies for money or you can become a crypto influencer, if you really have that much knowledge and grip.

Point is, you should have the sense of taking benefit out of your knowledge not just cursing it or using it as an excuse that you have no money so you can not buy or get benefit from the dip or at any good entry point.

You may not have thought of it this way, but you actually need money to buy bitcoin. Indrectly of course.

- you need money to buy a smartphone or a laptop.
- you need money to buy internet plans from a provider to have access to the internet.
- after you have gotten these with money, then you can "earn BTC from joining a signature campaign or offer other services for bitcoin in return." So you see even if you have all the knowledge, you indirectly still need money to own bitcoin.

You will have money from two main sources like from working  (your job salary, your business income eg.) or as gifts (from someone else, inheritance, ...).

You can not rely on gifts that are uncertain. A more realistic source of money should come from your working that is more related to knowledge and skills you have. To have knowledge you must learn and practice.

Even in the crypto market, being highly knowledgeable is considered an asset and any investor with no knowledge at all will always be a loser. This is also what I'm thinking, majority of us here started with no money, although we shouldn't treat signature campaigns as the only source of our income, but still in the beginning, we have the privilege to enjoy and received some payment in Bitcoin. And most likely we did venture somewhere else, either trading or putting up some form of business on the Bitcoin that we have earned here.

that is true, if you know have the knowledge then it means, you know other routes to earn money not just only buying BTC and storing or trading with it. you can start small whatever amount you know you can spare in this market. also, you can use your skills and offer it and accept crypto as payment. just look at the services section here and you will understand that a lot of users here are offering various kind of services. don't think that one way of earning income in this market is just by buying crypto. there are a lot more activities on how to earn one.

So from this, you can see the advantages of studying Bitcoin even when you don't have money to invest in it.

Are there anyone who doesn't have money nowadays? Even if small, the misconception on this one is that to many people, they thought that they need to invest huge amount in order to make profit from this industry. Invest only an amount you can afford to lose; cliché as it sounds  a phrase we often see in this industry but it is the reality. This is the mistake of some people wherein they are taking a loan to invest which will never be advisable. Profit won't come in an instant so always manage the risk. Whether it is big or small, as long as it is just a spare fund, it won't be a problem holding it for years until it becomes profitable. Money is indeed needed to invest, that is obvious but there is no specific amount to do so.

Knowledge is never useless. That is actually one of the worst sentences I've ever read on this forum. Many people make/inherit big sums of money but have no knowledge of how money and finance work and they end up completely broke. If you have knowledge about bitcoin it probably means that you have a better knowledge of money than the average Joe so probably you should know how to save and invest money in order to get more satoshi/bitcoin.

It wasn't a waste, knowledge is power, I started on cryptocurrency and Bitcoin when I was just a student I don't really have money to invest but I did earn a big amount of money, I mean you could start your service here in the forum, with your knowledge or skills people can pay you on Bitcoin with your service. I remember earning up to 3k dollars. I think when I was just a student because of Bitcoin, it was a really big amount, especially for a student without a job or anything. True, it's a common investment wisdom that you need to have money to make money. The idea that you can in some sense "succeed" by having Bitcoin knowledge is just narrative that shitposters spread when they need to bump their post count and hopefully catch some merit points. Bitcoin requires just some basic knowledge to be used effectively, you need to know how to use it and how to not lose it. Earning Bitcoin is just like earning fiat - it's about working or running a business. If you have enough knowledge, for example, about bitcoin, this allows you to convert knowledge into money, the same btc. If this knowledge still doesn't allow to buy bitcoin, it only means that you don't have enough of it. The situation you described with the possession of all knowledge about btc and the absence of money at the same time sounds somewhat paradoxical. A reasonable person will find a way how to profitably apply the knowledge about bitcoin, and if he fails, then the questions should be to the owner of this knowledge, and not to the knowledge itself.

Without money knowledge isn't a waste instead it's the other way around because without knowledge money is a waste. When you don't know how to manage money and things you should do to double your money or keep the stream of income coming to your account, you'll waste all the money you have and go broke very soon. Knowledge is never a waste because it stays with you forever but money don't.

When you don't know how to manage money, you'll lose it and to manage money you need knowledge. You can teach others with the knowledge you have on bitcoin and use it as a source of income to get capital for you to invest into Bitcoin and keep your Bitcoin safe.

I disagree with the topic you made here in this thread section dude, because real knowledge is priceless. It is more true that there are many rich people but they have no knowledge of things, or they just look like they have knowledge because they are covered by the amount of money they have. But the truth is they lack knowledge.

There are 1000s of people who participated in signature campaigns on this forum, who used their acquired knowledge to post constructive content and they got paid for it. If they were clever.... they would have used that to buy more Crypto currencies. (Which they could trade and make even more bitcoins... or simply hoard it to wait for a spike in the price)

There are people out there that are using their knowledge to host Bitcoin meetups, where people actually hire them to talk at these meetups. So knowledge generate income and that income can be used to buy bitcoins or any other Alt coins.

I don't think I can agree with you that having knowledge about Bitcoin is a waste of time and effort because for the person that  doesn't have the money to invest in it yet. Do you know that having proper knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general can also be another source of income, like writing a book about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at all ?

I made some cool amount of money from airdrops and I was very luck at the time, because by 2019, airdrop took an unexpected turn, no newer project at the time took airdrops seriously anymore, I would just considered myself a lucky fella with crypto.

If you are too smart to learn that knowledge, for sure you know how to earn money, but that doesn't mean that you have knowledge; that is where it ends. You need to pursue more and learn more. Firstly people don't want to accept the truth even when they know the truth and that's wrong.
Most persons even myself  wouldn't have invested in bitcoin  so easily if not for signature  campaigns and the truth be told that I even have to withdraw most of my earnings to fiat which I believe most Persons also do same.
Knowledge is key and that can't be denied and I don't want to dispute everyone over here but I just had to air out my mind because in my few days in cryptocurrency,  I've come to understand that no matter how much knowledge you have of bitcoin,  without money, the knowledge  isn't effective and hence we need money to buy bitcoin  and put those knowledge  into practical else we miss out of all that bitcoin  has to offer at that very point in time.

I think having knowledge about bitcoin, even though I don't have the capital to buy it, is not a waste. Because in my personal opinion, having knowledge about bitcoin is number one. So if you already have mature knowledge about bitcoin, at that point then look for capital to be able to buy it. Because even if you have money at first, if you don't have knowledge, you definitely have to study before buying bitcoin. I am strongly disagree with your point that one would have all the knowledge on bitcoin and yet there is no money so that person knowledge is a waste. My brother that knowledge is not a waste. Just that he has known the ways to use the knowledge. There are different ways that knowledge can fetch him money. He can organize a seminar and use the knowledge there then he will have bitcoin or money from there. He can also organize lessons to interested persons and there too money can come out. I don't quite agree with you OP, money can come and go in ones life but you see knowledge, it can never go at any cost. Is like you're fighting against yourself if you stick to the fact that knowledge is a waste.
If someone has the knowledge about Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and all that, without him or her having the money to put those knowledge to use, I don't see what's stopping that individual from taking a loan, like why do we have or take loan in the first place? Take a loan and build yourself financially.
If you have the knowledge and you don't have money I suggest you do the needful and show that the knowledge you have about crypto is not and never a waste. Or if you can't take a loan from the bank you ask the nearest friend to help out that you'd pay, money can never be a barrier to what you know how to do perfectly well.

For example, learnt about bitcoin in late 2015, after coming across bitcoin for the first time, I spent like seven days researching, and in the end, I came to the conclusion that bitcoin was legitimate, and very good for investment, but unfortunately, I had no money to invest, back then, I watched the price of bitcoin in my local currency through luno exchange, and the price fluctuated between 80,000 naira and 90,000, if converted to dollar, that was around $180 to $250 dollars, cus naira to dollar was way cheaper back then compared to what it is now.

In general, no knowledge is wasted because all knowledge leads to more knowledge and understandings... though on a personal level, it may be wasted at times. Simply possessing knowledge does not compel one to apply or expand on it... Other elements come into play on a personal level. If you grew up in a ghetto, for example, dominated by gang violence... a college degree is often a way out, but it takes a certain mindset to do so. I think investment is not the problem rather OP was trying to make an emphasis on the importance of money in the society which I think is the current happenings in the society. Of lately, I have come to realize that people tend to go for people  who have fat  bank account than those with the knowledge as they are seen as not serious in life.

It’s useless to say that even if you have all the means to invest like knowledge and strategies but you don’t have sufficient amount of money to start your investment, I guess everything you have will just go into waste. That's true mate, being very knowledgeable about Bitcoin and all investment general is actually good but it will be a total waste of time and energy after making so much research and becoming more knowledgeable about investment and you don't have money to kickstart the investment in other to put your knowledge on practice, so I believe that without money all your knowledge is total waste because is through money you can invest and put your knowledge to work.

I understand what you're talking about. Knowledge and money is a bicycle with two pedals. You have to rotate both. If you have money but no knowledge, you may get lucky a few times but end up losing money. Because trading or investing without knowledge is a mandatory loss of money. This is true, money is made of knowledge, and if we cannot use knowledge to make money, then we are useless, not knowledge is useless. Knowledge is power, the premise to create all wealth in this world, I have not seen anyone without knowledge earn money unless they are a parasite from their family. I couldn't agree more. Knowledge is a power and a tool to help ourselves rise from the current situation we have and make our lives somehow comfortable in the next few years, there's no such thing as knowledge is a waste without money because with that knowledge, you can almost start with everything as you have the power to search for the ideas and what to do to make your situation better. I also believe that OP is right since any forms of cryptocurrency investment requires money. If you don’t have sufficient amount of funds, your knowledge about bitcoin may only go into waste since you cannot even start investing because of the absence of funds. One funny thing is that most persons countering my opinion  are just seeking ways to bend me to their angle and just believe that knowledge  isn't a waste without money.
Firstly I was emphasing on bitcoin  and cryptocurrency  in general but later people started generalizing everything and making it seem i was condemning having knowledge  which isn't right.

Is it that you don't wish to buy bitcoin or that you are not ready to buy bitcoin because there are many people here who use the money they earn in the forum to buy bitcoin? So since I don't advise someone to buy bitcoin and you are already knowledgeable about how bitcoin works and other necessary things to know about bitcoin investment, if you wish to hodl bitcoin, you can use the money you get from these forums to do so. I understand what you're talking about. Knowledge and money is a bicycle with two pedals. You have to rotate both. If you have money but no knowledge, you may get lucky a few times but end up losing money. Because trading or investing without knowledge is a mandatory loss of money. It is wrong that people are still getting an absolute  wrong concept of this thread because I wasn't referring  to life and knowledge in general but I was referring referring to bitcoin  and cryptocurrency in general.

This is a major obstacle of most crypto lovers especially in Africa, Nigeria precisely. Many youth like myself love to invest and trade in bitcoin practising all that we have heard and learnt but the big question or hurdle is with what do I do all these stuff...how do I make it out of bitcoin if I don't even have a start up capital. The reason why many are into fraudulent practice in order to gain big... pushing many into using the Bitcoin knowledge in the wrong way.
I'd encourage others like I did myself. Don't get into unnecessary competition with others who are doing evil to get funds for investing in Bitcoin rather use these ideas to make money from learners after teaching them...get a legitimate investment to grow you money then you can trade Bitcoin with what you have gathered from your skills.

I must say that you're again wrong this time. Knowledge isn't waste and I mean that, I know that without money we can't buy anything whether Bitcoin or any other physical or digital goods, but without knowledge we will lose up all the money we have. maybe you should work to someone first. although bitcoin is a currency but it still an investment. i use some of my salary to buy bitcoin although only for very small amount. i care about time when I buy bitcoin, i think it is good for me to buy bitcoin when it price reach the most bottom level of bearish market. I agree with you. Borrowing to invest is risky because you will have to pay loan interest and I am unsure it is small or big. Such interest will be stressful when you have to always think about pay the loan interest as well as the whole loan. If at the time of loan repayment, you can not pay, will you borrow more money and get a worse situation?

The way I look here at the question of knowledge as a way to embrace the understanding of everything including money, and money as a small part of the answer about applied knowledge, can be understand that each person has different choices or goals in life, so the way of looking at the story of having knowledge but not having money is simply that they are not capable and do not know how to apply their knowledge. yes, or they may not really value making money, sometimes their life knowledge growth should mean more than having a lot of money, and it seems that money in their journey is just enough to eat enough to wear and suitable for that life.

I highly agree, these kinds of people who said that without money knowledge is wasted are people that are used to being spoon-fed and have developed a limiting factor on applying their knowledge.  It is also possible that these people are just creating excuses to get lazy and avoid hard works that come from a lack of funds.  I believe it is way more true if we stated that without knowledge, money is wasted. Since we have seen people who have the money but have no idea of where to put it to profit often ends up no money in their pocket because their money are getting drained but never got replenished.

I can refer to a story I once read about Steve Jobs, before he became a great man there was a time when he reflected on life in India and through meditation sought enlightenment open mind. Actually from the beginning not only Steve Jobs, but many people I also questioned what spiritual teachers they were doing, and when I realized those people really have a great mind and a great happiness in life, or rather they are correctly understanding the value of this life of theirs. Money , sometimes I laugh because many people take it too seriously as everything in life, and contemplation makes me feel more pitiful, about the Steve jobs story that I mentioned, he doesn't must be a person who lives for money that exactly money is looking for him, knowing about things has a great wisdom in life and how they try to work for society and not simply is personal interest.

knowledge is something that you can easily carry even if you are sleeping and you will not lose it in a visible way, if you don't have insight into crypto/bitcoin trading mechanisms, it might be called burning or throwing money into the ocean.
at least the loss will be 100 to 10, don't have analysis, don't have risk management and can't read whether it's a correction or the price that brings to buy bitcoin.

I really don't rely on real money because I haven't worked for any company since the last 3 years but I still work on airdrop and small mining even though the results are not much and only tolerable at least there is a little extra to buy bitcoin.

I understand your feelings if you miss the train (buying price for bitcoins is below the price) because you want to buy in so many satoshi units, taking advantage of the momentum that sometimes takes a long time to arrive at the price you mean, but if you have bought several satoshis you have budgeted for wise enough.

I think what you quoted has somehow a different case scenario where johnsaributua doesn't have an access to such paid stuffs like SCs. If one hasn't been working for company for almost 3 years, and that person solely relied on airdrops then it might be worrysome to have your life in that way since airdrops isn't really a reliable source of income considering that some of them are just shittokens and might not cut the cost that one can incur over the month.

I would understand if the one you quoted is still a student. :/
It's also worth noting that having 3 year gap in work experience might come out as questionable.

Knowledge is and will always be valuable. There are plenty ways to earn money with your knowledge. You'd be surprised that a lot of people with money don't actually know what they're doing. You being here in a forum and as I am sure you're contributing important information in here  makes your knowledge not a waste anymore. Knowing about cryptocurrency and whatnot opens up a lot of opportunities for earning money not only through investing so don't think all that knowledge is a waste when a lot wish they can understand the concept of crypto as much as you can.

you got the topic very correct and I do mean it because after my last thread, I was actually wondering  the essences of having all the knowledge  about bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large and still don't have the money to buy, I just feel its a waste of effort and such a person  with all his knowledge  will definitely miss out of the opportunities in bitcoin and I'm  on the opinion  that people still need to always have some form of money at all time to buy bitcoin especially  at every instance a dip arises and I want to know the essence of wanting to crowd ones brain Brain with so much about bitcoin  when such a person doesn't have any more to buy rather than seeking ways to buy?
