Long back while having conversation with one of my girlfriend she said she was interested into cryptocurrency. Quite often she used to watch more details on Instagram posts and doesn't have proper knowledge to get into it. Days passed and today it is her birthday. I remembered the conversation and wished her. Already she had Binance, so requested her to send the bitcoin address and send a small amount of 0.0011BTC as birthday gift.

Bitcoin information has been widely circulated on social media and many people are familiar with bitcoin by now, but the problem is how involved people are in investing and how confident they are in using it. I wonder if you are giving these bitcoins as a gift only and how far you can lead them to be consistent in investing. If it's a gift and he isn't consistent over the long term then it's a shame because he won't be benefiting from the gift in leveraging bitcoins.

They only know Bitcoin from information from various social media but do not fully understand how to use it. This limitation makes some people unable to develop knowledge because there is no one beside them who can teach directly about Bitcoin. I think it's really lucky someone who has a girlfriend who can teach him how to save and invest safely.

I don't think the fact that nobody teaches bitcoin is a barrier for some people because most of the information is on the internet, if someone really wants to learn and want to invest in bitcoin, then they will find a way. I am a self-taught person without any guidance, I do not say I am good, but if we are passionate and love bitcoin, nothing can stop us. But if you are lucky enough to be taught by an experienced person, the better because you will avoid unnecessary incidents.
Bitcoin will be a very meaningful gift if the recipient is someone knowledgeable about Bitcoin, OP, you really did a good job of inspiring your girlfriend.

Oh that's nice! It doesn't matter how big or small the amount is. What matters is how you helped her achieve a small goal of her to have her own Bitcoin. And at the same time, it could be her starting journey in Bitcoin. OP what you did for your friend is a nice gesture but let me give you some advice, the next gift teach him to leave platforms like Binance and use his own private keys and use services like Bisq or Robosats to buy Bitcoin or Pocket Bitcoin if you have the possibility to make a transfer.

I appreciate what the OP did to gift Bitcoin to his girlfriend. It was a good attempt to start introducing Bitcoin, but it was a poor attempt to provide an introduction to the security of his Bitcoin asset.
But even then an exchange like Binance might be an option because it also serves as a platform to trade and teach trading to your girlfriend.

0.0011 BTC is a small amount, but it is not important about the amount, it is important how you introduce Bitcoin, its advantages and disadvantages.
For the next birthday gift, it might be better to give a surprise in the form of an item that can store Bitcoin, namely a Hardware Wallet, it will be quite memorable and become a memorable item that will not be forgotten.

Well, sorry to say, if she was interested in crypto just as you have said, then she would really be more interested in holding that Bitcoin in a self-costodial wallet, and you probably would have even guided her to download one of the good mobile wallets app and send it there, because I think you must be aware of the issues with the SEC and Binance lately and the case of Bitcoin and the government at present. So far, she wants to learn trading, and she was the one that recommended Binance to herself, not bad there, but always try to remind her that exchanges are not reliable despite the reputation they may have gave. for better and stronger security purposes about her bitcoin, let her get a non-custodial wallet, as you said, so that if she has money later to invest more in bitcoin she will think of leaving her Bitcoin in any exchange because if she got familiar with uses  of exchange It will be hard for her moving her coins away from exchanges.

Initial information from social media is enough to lead them to learn about bitcoin and engagement matters directly depending on how they try to learn it. Actually there is nothing difficult because there are many videos about investing in social media, it's just that it takes a little seriousness in learning so that it leads them to real knowledge, unless they don't want to study seriously.

You are absolutely right mate. For her to have recommended binance to you, it means she has gotten more knowledge on bitcoin herself and this would make things much easier for you to teach her.
Like I earlier emphasized, her coin safety is very paramount because it has to do with funds and assets. So therefore, you must be up to the task of putting her through the entire system so she could get acquainted to how it works irrespective of the fact that she has done a little research on it. That should be a plus to her knowledge be she wiu learn and relearn some processes involved for her safety.

It's nice to have a girlfriend or a wife who is also into Bitcoin because it can make your relationship twice better. But I think this isn't really surprising knowing that cryptos' popularity are now very high. We only get shocked one day that our partner will confess to us that they are now into Bitcoin but sometimes they will get encouraged to us when they see us daily dealing with Bitcoin.

I see that it was your girlfriend's birthday last time, so I'm also wishing her a belated happy birthday. You have done well by gifting her the bitcoin, am always interested in females trying to learn about bitcoin, since she those not really have much knowledge about bitcoin and trading yet, then it’s better you just give her your time so that you will teach her about trading, and bitcoin investment incase later if she is interested in investing in bitcoin.

I noticed something about your post, you shouldn’t have added the amount which you gifted her, and the picture which you uploaded, you should have blurred the part which the amount of bitcoin you sent to her is showing, you don’t have to show the amount sent to you before people will believe you.
