IMO how fast altcoins pump and how much they increase in price depends on various factors such as news, events, the state of the market and the amount of money being invested in that market. You need to make an investment plan and be specific about selling altcoins, such as selling price, number of altcoins sold. As well as monitoring the market indicators and conditions continuously so that you can stay informed and make decisions at the right time. And always monitor important information such as the status of monetary policy, market opening policy,... However, you need to understand the risks involved in investing in the crypto market and only invest the money you are willing to lose.

Yeah, altcoins to pump up a lot in bull run, but also dumps very quickly, and you might not even get a chance to  sell your coins. Crypto currency investment is not a get rich quick scheme. From my experience, those altcoins who experience having massive pumps don't usually dumps that fast because it's a bull market. I believe that OP plans to invest long term given that he is in year one of investing and I believe that he plan to continue it up until the bull market. I am thinking of taking out half my investment when it reaches 120% but I'm also telling myself not to sell too soon 

You shall at least try to take your profit even though it's only a few percents from your total investment, remember you are in 85% profit from your initial investment now. You can take your initial investment back and use your profit to reinvest in another potential coin again.
This will better for you rather than youa re only watching your portfolio goes up.

Ypu should set your sell price goals and just follow them.  And it's real simple when people are getting super greedy ypu start selling.  And right when everyone is scared of the market you should be buying.  The Warren buffet formula.  Just Remer if a price seems too good to be true it most likely is, that's when you sell.

for us to succeed then think like Whales or Blackrock. Waiting for a lot of price speculation and some FUD showing up to buy and then sell as good news starts to emerge and Bitcoin support gets stronger. Not as easy as said, but real practice must be done. the bull run is definitely coming, Bitcoin will reach a new ATH and altcoin season is coming. Next year is likely to be a bull run as it approaches the halving. But it's not a guarantee because all conditions can change drastically and there are some adjustments. Hold and don't sell at a low price before the target price is reached.

Altcoins roi are always higher then bitcoin but risk of losing capital or chance of scamming by altcoins,  possibilities are also higher. But i'm witness of bull sessions which happened in 2018 & 2021. That time altcoins were increased incredibly. So for altcoins investment, i always suggest top potential altcoins like eth, bnb, ada and etc to add in your portfolio for next bull run but don't invest your whole capital anytime

The thing is, altcoins can pump pretty well, but it is difficult to know which one is going to pump, and that's the reason why it is difficult to invest in altcoins and be certain of ROI.

Pumps happen in short time periods. Most significant gains happen in hours timeframes. So you must be always prepared for a pump, holding your coins and tokens carefully on your personal wallet, while setting notifications for when their prices increase considerably, so you immediately sell it on an exchange or to another crypto enthusiast for fast profit.

Altcoins will be very difficult to read especially to traders and much more on margin traders. But for investors, I guess it's not that hard, especially for the top altcoins. Those who bought altcoins last year and this year will surely benefit from the incoming bull run in 2024 and 2025. I doubt there are bettors here that the whole crypto market won't be bullish in those years. It's been shown since the first halving of bitcoin and it will be the same next year.

DCA is the best technique I have seen so far because there will be huge swings before the big bull run starts.

I have been in 2021 bull run and it happened at least 3 times back then,first February 2021,I sold everything and I suggest you do the same as I don't know if 2025 will have another 3 bull runs,then it was in April/May 2021 and then in October 2021,the first one in February lasted about 2 weeks and that was also the case with the other ones with that of April/May maybe 3 weeks and some days but the average time the bull runs remain is from 2 weeks to 4 weeks and a few days max,so I think you have enough time to sell your coins at a huge profit.Congrats for being such patient,very few people have this kind of patience.

Doing DCA for a year now and waiting for the real bull market, its about to happen so watch for it.
Altcoins pump can last longer along with Bitcoin and if the market remains active you can see more profitable altcoins as well. Though the usuall Bull run happens for a months only and it will start to correct after that. So make sure to take profit when the target price already reached or else, you might lose the chance of securing the profit and lose it all.

And if you ask how fast, then every altcoin will probably be different. That's why, when the bullish era starts, we need to pay attention to their movements, especially the altcoins that we hold. in bullrun usually they all pump in unify though, but most certainly there are some coins that will not have some pump as you have stated and determining one is difficult.
but majority of the high ranked coin are usually always the one that pumps.

You can't believe it if I tell you that it will only take a few days. Honestly, no metrics to measure how fast and how low it pumps, we only just saw it on the actual pump but can't tell when. That is why everything in here is unpredictable, you will just surprise upon checking your wallet that the price pumps and it happen to me before. It was just hope especially if you are buying worthless coins and also, not to expect that all coins will turn bullish because many of them remain dead. That is why choosing coins for investment is very important, not just the price but also the potentiality of the project.

Roughly, we still have more or less one year before the next bitcoin halving will happen and after that, we will likely experience some boost in bitcoin's price and some even says and speculates that it will exceed the last ATH. And if that happens, after the bitcoin's market boost, altcoins are expected to follow and have their own ATH as well especially the top performing altcoins in the recent years like ETH, ADA, BNB.
