UK EditionProbably I do not understand how things work. Or maybe I just don’t know enough things about football. But one thing definitely comes to my mind. It is a question which is, why would a player go from Tottenham to Fenerbahce? I understand that he is a good coach and a lot of players probably have a soft corner about him in their hearts. A lot of players probably want to work under his management. But why would a player go to the club that he is managing right now leaving Tottenham? It just doesn’t make sense to me. it shouldn't even go to Fenerbahce from Tottenham even if he is not getting good enough playtime in Tottenham. I think Jose Mourinho should be more realistic when going for players that he wants.
I also know that it is difficult to understand why a player would leave the premier league for the Turkish league, but the point is that this player, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, has not performed well, from what I can see here:
source: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/pierre-emile-hojbjerg/leistungsdaten/spieler/167799In 36 games the guy didn't score any goals, the guy didn't make any assists in the premier league last season, so why would Fenerbahce have to spend a lot of money on this guy knowing that there are many other good players who perform well and at a low price? I hope it's just a rumor and that this news is not something serious, because it doesn't make any sense for Fenerbahce to spend money on this signing, Mourinho should focus on making good signings at lower costs, being a good coach nowadays, It means having a good vision when it comes to signing talented players, Real Madrid and Manchester City are teams that have a lot of money, but they are only strong because they have coaches with great vision when it comes to signing players, Leverkusen became Bundesliga champions because he has a coach with good vision when it comes to signing players. If Mourinho doesn't get the signings right, he will fail
