Now Manchester City has been eliminated from the Champions League, and I hope this defeat doesn't demoralize the players for long, as they still have important work to do in the Premier League with the remaining games. It's okay to be sad, but then pick yourself up, the season is still on.

One can't be the best forever, at some point your reign would come to and end someone else would do better. This season, Arteta is far better than Pep Guardiola and seem like the next big thing in the EPL when it comes to good managers, you can see that Arsenal has advanced to the quarter finals in the Champions League, they're 1st in the EPL, they'll be playing the finals in the EFL Cup and reached the quarter finals in FA Cup.
 Pep could be leaving after this season and this is not a good way to end his reign in the EPL, you could see how managers like Sir Alex Ferguson and Jurgen Klopp did before leaving, Pep might win the EFL Cup since Manchester City is playing the final against Arsenal but like you said, it's a mediocre title, I expected Manchester City to be the best in the EPL this season and seriously competiting in the Champions League.

Arsenal will definitely not mess up this opportunity that is currently looking at them face to face, they will not want to jeopardise their hard work so far because they themselves understand what they've sacrificed to be in the position they are currently, so with just a few games left before this season is finally over, I believe Arsenal will not behave the way they use to behave in previous season where just when fans start believing and cheering for them, they begin to lose games.

Manchester City on the other don't need to relent too because even if their chances of winning the Premier league title is almost lost now, they are currently in the second place in the league table and this is also an incredible achievement too, they need to do all they can to maintain and make sure they end this season in this position regardless of any outcomes from other leagues.
I always say that not football team continues to win forever, every club have their time and season for sure..

I don't think it will make them demoralized than to make them concentrate on premier League title because they are still standing in a good position to drag this title from Arsenal that is toping the premier League table right now, Real Madrid really prepared to disgrace Manchester City in that champion League lock out stage because they used the first meeting to score goals that gave them the opportunity to withstand Manchester City at home, but no matter what Manchester City is going to do in this premier League is to maintain the second position because anything that will make Manchester United to take that position that will give them hope to lift next premier League title.

This is very disgraceful for the premier league side, with 6 teams advancing to the round of 16 only 2 teams could make it to the quarter finals of the champions league. I can’t believe the score line gap between some big sides in the premier league. I know the premier league is not overrated and things like things comes by from time to time but i expected more from these premier league side.

Well with just arsenal and Liverpool left remain in the champions league I can’t say we will be seeing the champions league in England by the end of season.

However this still doesn't guarantee that they will play great in the Premier League in remaining games. Those ones will be way tougher!

This clubs performs amazingly in other leagues but when they come to premier league, they perform very poorly, seems to me that premier league is indeed the though football league in the world, am I right or wrong?

Liverpool in that beginning of this season would have easily beat Brighton by severals goals and Brighton may not even be able to retaliate with a single goal, but unfortunately, I don't know what happened, every thing seemed to all of a sudden turn upside down for club, from the top position in that league table which the team began this season with, they are currently now in the 5th place..
And they can only managed to climb to the 4th postion is Aston Villa fail to keep up with maintaining that postion.
Anyways, I look forward to the Liverpool verse Brighton game coming up on Saturday, I don't know but I might be putting up a bet on Brighton to win the match even though Liverpool seems to be more qualified to win, I honestly don't see them winning..

I don’t think Manchester City being eliminated from the Champions League will affect their performance for the remaining games of the season. It has happened before, this isn’t the first time they would be eliminated from the Champions League and end up winning the league title. But the problem is the point difference between Arsenal, Manchester City is behind with 9 points different, and I believe Arsenal will not afford to drop any points to risks their chances of winning the league title.

However, I think the best thing for Guardiola is to win a trophy this season, if I’m not wrong, this is the first time I see the city fans wanting Guardiola to leave the club after they were eliminated from the Champions League. This can be his final season at the club, but nobody knows since his contract expires at the end of next season. But I hope he win at least one trophy this season.

Visit any of the Arsenal forums, and you won't see anyone already celebrating the title because their previous fails in similar situations, and knowing how hard EPL is. They are of course favorites and will mist likely win the title, but it ain't over until City can't theoretically reach them.

What? Could have been more than twenty goals if all the chances were converted. Liverpool really need to work on their finishing before the weekend. They need far more cooperation and collective effort to operate effectively in the opponent yard. Despite their victory, I wasn't impressed because of they missed too many chances with lots of poor decision making upfront.

Liverpool and Arsenal are the only team from the six teams representing England in the round of sixteen to advance to the quarter final. Liverpool will take on PSG next month when the champions league back to action. Perhaps, they will avenge for Chelsea or PSG will extend their dominance on the EPL teams. Time shall tell.

As of today, Pep Guardilola and Manchester City are still participating in 3 competition. Out of the 3, if they are focused Manchester City will gain 1 trophy by the end of the season. It is unlike Pep that leaves the season with more than 2 trophies, last year he didn't win any trophy and he is about to go a season without any trophy again because his team is looking incompetent for the job. The first trophy challenge is on Sunday. Arsenal and Manchester City will be at Wembley for the EFL final.

Was a good game, they played very well and I was surprised where all the morale came from to play in that manner and win in that manner the same opponent that gave them tough time twice in the same competition. I don't think it matters how many opportunities thr wasted all that matters now is to qualify for the next round.

Of course there is no guarantee that it's a turnaround. They had a similar performance at some point when they were struggling and we all thought they are back in business but that wasn't the case. I don't expect an improvement in the league, if they improve it's better but if they don't then they are risking their champions league possibility.

Brighton? That's a tough one definitely. It will be difficult to walk away with even all the points unless they settle for a draw.

They have not been in the best of form this season, but they are way better than last season they went trophyless, where they didn't stand a chance to win the league title, they lost the fa cup finals to crystal palace, got knock out from the uefa champions league early, and also the carabao cup to Manchester United if am not wrong, so even though they still went trophyless this season, they are still better than last season that they were losing to almost all teams, which compel pep guardiola to enter the market aggressively last summer transfer windows.
Though they still have hope of claiming some silverware this season as you have said, like the fa cup and the carabao cup, but the league title is out of reach because they are not consistent enough to be winning their own games and be hoping for arsenal to drop some points along the way, if not, they have a very good chance of winning three trophies this season.

It's because you people overrate the Premier League. I understand that as a whole, it is the strongest league in Europe because even the small teams have money to afford players, so that makes them competitive, but those smaller teams are no match for the other big clubs in Europe.
PSG is unarguably a better team than Chelsea. Barcelona is undoubtedly a better team than Newcastle, and Atletico Madrid is obviously a better team than Tottenham. Only Manchester City and Madrid are on par based on current form, but when it comes down to it, Madrid has more quality than City and is obviously a way bigger club than Man City. So it is normal for these teams to win, but people feel like because these teams are EPL teams, they would win against anybody they face.

Most EPL fans believe that there is no football in any other league; the main football of the EPL is pace and power, with just a little bit of technicality. When the EPL wins a bigger team from another league, we will hear stuff like "The EPL teams are the best in the world", but y'all fail to see that things like this happen all the time. Bodo/Glimt knocked out Inter and won teams like Manchester City, you don't hear their fans saying things like that.
The EPL may be more competitive, but when it comes to the quality of football being played, there are leagues that are better than the EPL.

In my opinion, the EPL is the overall best league in the world, regardless of the UCL results, but people need to reduce the way they overrate it. Everything that happens in the EPL happens in other leagues, and everything that happens in other leagues happens in the EPL.
