Man Utd have to do well this season surely or Ten Hat should be sacked. This is his third season now and they are no nearer to winning the PL or CL since he arrived.

He has spent £600,000,000 now. No more excuses, he must compete for the big trophies (not FA Cup or League Cup).

I couldn't agree more. After all that money spent the expectations are getting bigger naturally. But still no impressive result in hand. This season is most probably the last chance for Erik ten Hag.

Currently the Fulham game is going on and it is halftime. The score is still 0-0. When I checked the squad I was surprised with what I saw. There was no centre-forward available to play.

Now Bruno Fernandes is playing there and can't be effective of course.    Maybe Garnacho would be a better choice in such situation but it is ten Hag's choice. It feels like a win by 1-0 on the way.

The Liverpool and Arsenal match may not be too interesting but everyone is very curious and looking forward to the Chelsea match against Manchester City when the coaches know each other very well and hopefully there will be no surprises.

Who says Liverpool's game won't be interesting? I understand that Liverpool isn't playing a team of their size but it's the first game of the season with a new manager that is just getting the hang of things at Liverpool. So it would be interesting to see how he handles the first game of the season. For Arsenal, it's the same. They lost the league last season and would want to start very strong. I understand why Chelsea vs City game is the more anticipated fixture but still, I believe all Gameweek 1 games by teams in the top half of the league will be a good watch. For instance, I'm not a United fan but I enjoyed seeing them struggle against an underdog like Fulham.  

Btw, nice acca slip. Why do you think City will defeat Chelsea at Stamford bridge?

It is good that Man United could win their first match in EPL this season. It is a nice start although I think Man United should score more goals in this match. Fulham is a mediocre team, Man United needs to beat them with bigger score. If Man United attackers have a better accuracy, they could score 2 goals at least. Ten Hag needs to evaluate the starting lineup for the next match. It is better to put Joshua Zirkzee, Alejandro Garnacho, and Marcus Rashford in the attacking line. Don't use Bruno Fernandes as a striker, it is proven as a bad idea in this match.

I agree Man United defense looks better in this match. They could win the game without a conceded goal. It proves that there is an improvement in Man United defense. I hope Man United defense can maintain their good performance in the whole season. With De Light and Mazraoui, Man United has good options for the defenders now.

I think with the come of many new signings on United, and it's slowly solving the problems. Manchester United brought in some good defenders. We fixed our defense, so we aren't concerned about it again. And now with the good result against Fulham, we seem back on the right track again.

With all the transfers Manchester United made in the summer window, they're fine now. We won't encounter the same problem as last season. They're playing very solidly against Fulham, and we took three points. This is really a decent start from Manchester United.

Although this victory was not easy, MU got 3 valuable points to start the new season smoothly. Their defense is still not reassuring, the mediocre attack of Fulham's strikers still does not give us the answer that the MU defense is improving. The arrangement of 4 midfielders in the central area helps MU have the advantage in numbers to overwhelm Fulham's midfield. However, this also caused some problems. MU showed that they were still perplexed when facing the opponent's counter-attacks, when the first line of defense, the midfielders, was overcome. In fact, MU was very lucky not to concede after Fulham's dangerous counter-attacks. I don't want to agree that there's anyone doubting the defensive qualities of Manchester United's recent signing Matthijs de Ligt unless the person knows little or nothing about the Dutch defender. Manchester United have signed few defenders this season including Leny Yoro who's currently injured and Noussair Mazrauoi but I don't think there's any of them that can beat de Ligt's defensive records. I expect him to significantly improve the defensive strength of Manchester United backline with his presence and leadership qualities.

Don't be naive buddy, I know De Ligt's performance is quite good especially when he was at Juventus even he became one of the most expensive defenders when he was at Juventus but in this case we also have to see his performance at Bayern and we also have no guarantee for De Ligt in the EPL because players as expensive and good as they are in previous competitions can be destroyed in the EPL.
We just have to see what he will do now because anyway when he loses in the competition then being at Manchester United or Bayern will be the same where he will be on the bench so he has to prove himself that he is a worthy player and we can't just believe that he will be successful at Manchester United because he hasn't proven it yet at this time.

two of the three matches you've chosen here are easy to predict but the Chelsea man city match is one to be careful with. Arsenal knows better than loosing a first match against an obviously weaker team and so they would obviously fight to secure all three point to themselves which will certainly means straight win for arsenal. Liverpools game will also be one to be looked out for most expecially under a new manger but considering the team they are going against, it's certainly going to also be a straight win for them but you see that Chelsea man city game i would rather analyze it after the match rather than involve it in my predicted games. The win probability is another set up you shouldn't take seriously as this will be a strong test for the Chelsea Coach and players after thier last 4:2 defeat at the friendlies in a disgraceful manner.

Man United started the match quite nervously, although there is some teamwork which can produce pretty good opportunities but it still couldn't be a goal because Man United didn't have a good finishing touch, and it is very clear that they need a striker. In the end, we get to see Joshua Zirkzee play and he had a pleasant debut because he was the scorer of the winning goal for Man United. The game was quite though for Manchester united yesterday despite their winning I think Fulham played very well in that game, Manchester united just won the game by luck yesterday because I couldn't believe that Fulham would be able to hold Manchester united first half draw to and extend of going to 90 minutes draw and if not for the late goal score by Zirkzee J in 87 minutes I think the game would have just ended in a draw game.

I think Manchester united really need to improve in their scoring system to enable them move ahead in this new season, because looking at their performance in the community shield clash against man city they were opportune to won the game if not their lack of scoring.

A classic win by Manchester United, 1-0.    Once again there are injured players. ten Hag even wanted to start with Bruno Fernandes in the CF position which was awkward. Maybe Hojlund was injured but Zirkzee was available...

Zirkzee scored the winning goal as well by the way. The assist came by Garnacho who was also a substitute first. Why would you start with Rashford instead of Garnacho in the first place??    ten Hag should be better with his player choices.

de Ligt wasn't a starter but Mazraoui was. The reason must be its being de Ligt's first game of the season including friendlies. Anyways, I hope to see them improving their game as time goes on.

Stop being excited over a narrow win against a club who did not put much in winning the match, because if they were serious playing the match they would have do Manchester United the same thing they did to them last season. so don't take your hopes high on them before they will scatter it for you.
because they are starting what they did last season almost their ten games was on a narrow win so thats the thing they want to start again this season so in my pinion they have not much improve physically but in confidence to win their match .the only problem solving in the Manchester united team is their  coach, not in other place again.
