I guess the rumours about Erling Haaland's potential transfer to Real Madrid just got cut short.
Real's presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme, who was pushing hard to sign up Haaland, just lost the election, so it's unlikely that Real Madrid will be continuing their pursuit of a "hostile takeover" of Haaland.
Man City, Haaland's father and his agent, all confirmed he's not going anywhere.

More on the story can be read in the local Manchester news portal:

I personally feel that Manchester city is part of haaland, this is where we knew him, Manchester city is now part of his identity, it's going to be quite a difficult one to get haalland out of Manchester city ant this point,
He is just like Salah in Liverpool, this is what I feel tho, I don't know how accurate I am, but there seem to be players that the club Is so part and attached to them that when you mention the club it's them you'll think about first. Those sets of people are hard to go to another team.
Look at the case of Messi we all know Barcelona is like his identity because that is where he performed peak and also where we knew him as a star,
I bet if Barcelona did not have financial issues they wouldn't have let him go, but anyway I hope someone gets to understand my point lol.

The Enrique Riquelme of a man rose a lot of controversy within a short time of contesting for Real Madrid presidency.
He publicly said he'll discontinue Mourinho's signing to Real Madrid. He should know that that singular decision will backfire.

He brought the Haaland FUD and was immediately countered by the Citizens.
He also came up with Klop's rumor and almost faced a law suit.

Enrique Riquelme behaved so uncoordinated, I wonder if it was his real behaviour or those things were done out of frustration.

I have being hearing this rumor for sometime now and at best, I think Haaland’s fathers response has being what stock with me, being that Haaland wasn’t going anywhere and this was further support by his agent. I dont really see what would be holding Haaland back, given that his done much with the Manchester City team and Pep is no longer their manager. Also, there isn’t much reason why he should be needed at Real Madrid. Adding another star player wouldn’t be a way to solve the disorientation within the squad, a manager would but, not another star.

I don't know why people also bothered about Mikel Arteta's playing style in the just concluded season, I think he played a style that really worked for him and he was able to win the premier league that the club had not won for 22 years and he also got to the final of the champions league and only lost on penalties.  We all know that Arteta can ball a very beautiful football, but it did not win him any major trophy,, so he played a style that won him trophy and people are complain and expecting him to change it, anyways I don't think he will change much from that style of play, he might just add some attacking players to make his team better when attacking.
When you win the league, you do not have to care about what other people are saying. Arteta won premier league and he was at the finals of UCL as well, only to lose it at the final penalty, so they almost won the UCL on the same season that they won Premier league as well.

When you are playing that great as a team then I think it is clear that you are doing something right and no matter what others are saying, you should not care about others and focus on doing what you do, because it has worked so well.

I personally try to not let the outcome of certain matches get to me because regardless of how much it looks to be obvious that one team will come out on top of the other the opposite is what tends to happen sometimes and that's just a part of life, letting it get to me and get me down is a waste of my time, time that i would rather spend on something else that's worth it, people need to accept that football can be unpredictable sometimes, take your wins and move on.

At the end of the day, it's the final outcome that really matters, because if they had focus on beautiful football and lost the league title the way they have been doing in the past, they will still criticize them, so if they are winning ugly and putting a smile on the face of their fateful fans, it's all that matters, because I know that their fans is only interested in victory, and as long as they can get it that way, they will be fine.
.
Where their will be problem is if they had played ugly and didn't won anything, that is where the job of Mikel arteta would have been threatened, but as long as he won a major title, everyone is happy.

Normally what matters is the results and no matter what you do there will always be people who will criticize you so it's not a surprise. Arteta did what he thought was best for him and his team and it doesn't matter how he wins the league what matters is winning it and he succeeded. Some Arsenal fans think people hate them but it's never possible to have the supply of opposition fan, no rival fan want their rival to succeed ahead of them.

Arteta succeeded this season by playing dirty, it might work now but I don't think it will keep working so he needs to adjust things and update his tactics if he wants to retain his first spot.

I really think it will be difficult to get Halaand out of Manchester City right now, because I think his is a big part of the club and he also love the club, so i never saw him leaving Manchester City this summer even if Enrique Riquelme has won the election. Halaand made his name at Manchester City and he seems to be very loyal to the club, so it will be a very difficult task to get him out, although in football everything is possible,  but I don't see him leaving Manchester City anytime soon. It's very possible that it might happen in the future,  but for now we will still enjoy watching him in the premier league.

Arsenal will surely play a more interesting and beautiful football next season [snip]
I believe that Arsenal is going to lift the premier league trophy next season

Becoming the league champion and on the other hand stepping into the stage of the UCL final, it is very natural that the confidence within the entire team will sky high.

But it is too early to think that they will win the Premier League again. The battlefield of this league is actually a very dangerous level of competitiveness. Under the new coach Man City, along with Liverpool, Chelsea and all the other sharks will enter the field with more ammunition to give a deadly bite next season. If Arsenal want to continue their success they will need to work their brains out in this summer market and fill their squad smartly, especially as they need a creative winger in attack

I have also seen that he is participating this time too and he will show his good performance in Manchester City and the performance that will strengthen him from here. If Manchester City gets points in every match, then they will benefit, it is better for them to not lose, if they get 1 point in a draw, then their chances will be quite good and they will get the benefit in the end. We can understand that in the 2026 season, they lost for the title at the end, most of the role in this is of this player and now he will improve his performance even more in the 2027 season so that Manchester City is successful this time and we also see some specialness in him. This is his hard work, he loves his team and he wants to see it develop.

With Enrique Riquelme loosing out on the election the story of getting Haaland is over and Manchester city are considering legal action on him. Haaland his a huge part of the club project and getting him out of the club will be almost impossible, he has been a very huge figure since his arrival. Manchester city are now focusing more on how to build a more challenging team next season under their new manager Enzo maresca.

For now the players focus is on the World Cup and how to make a big statement in the tournament and after that he will return back to Manchester city where he will focus more on achieving great thing at the club. He is still on contract with Manchester city but just as you said in football anything is bound to happen.

More on the story can be read in the local Manchester news portal:
https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-city-erling-haaland-rodri-34081840

About that story, I don't think Haaland is even leaving Manchester City soon...

There was a rumour in the past like he had a secret release clause to be active. But now we don't see any such thing.

Haaland seems happy at his current team. Maybe Guardiola has just left but Enzo Maresca is also a manager who is expected to do a nice work. I think Haaland believes in him for now.

I assume Arteta wouldn't like to make any significant change in his system. I don't even see the reason why he would do that.  Tongue

He has a great defense line which is helping him a lot on fighting for titles. However I would still expect him to make some moves to have a better attacking line.

Until when will he continue with players like Trossard, Martinelli? They should sign a winger who can make Gyökeres more fruitful for the team too.

People are just jealous about the achievement of Arsenal this season that is why they are really complaining about the style of play of Arsenal, when Arsenal was playing a beautiful football and was not winning the league they were mocking Arsenal calling them bottlers now that they are now using a style they has made them lift the league title they are still complaining.
Arteta should not be bothered about all those that are criticizing him because he has already achieved a lot, lifting the league title and going to the champions league final is not easy to achieve even if he lost the champions league title he lost it in penalties so is still a good one.
Next season Arsenal are still the favorite to lift the league title and I don’t think theirs any team that can stop them from doing that.

Arsenal have been in such impressive form this season . Although they failed to win the Champions League, but their success in  winning the Premier League title will always be a source of great pride, as it ended their 22 year wait for the trophy. But I’m not sure they can win that trophy back to back ... well, at least, it’ll probably be a tougher challenge for them than this season , as the teams that fell short this season are bound to prepare even more thoroughly, and Arsenal, as the defending champions, will likely feel the pressure

To be honest, I’m really curious about next  season’s transfer window. Several teams have already made early signings , and it looks as though the World Cup will be the perfect opportunity for teams to find the players they want.

If Enrique Riquelme had won the election, Manchester City wont let Haaland leave. It is not going to be possible. I guess that is the reason why the fans that was allowed to vote knew he was setting an exaggerated target in other to win the election. His opponent Florentino Perez won the election yesterday. We are yet to see the 150 million euro player he set to announce today.

Arsenal will surely play a more interesting and beautiful football next season [snip]
I believe that Arsenal is going to lift the premier league trophy next season
Mikel Arteta pre-eminent rival, Pep Guardiola have retire from his managerial role as Manchester City manager, this is what Mikel Arteta needed to boost his confidence and he lifted the EPL title in the last year of Pep Guardiola as manager for city. This is to tell you that Arsenal are ready to dominate the EPL and they're ready to throw everything within their reach because they're elite team and this is what they do.

Arsenal have remain consistent in the EPL in the previous years and there's no going back now, Mikel Arteta have put together a strong squad they're not ordinary, they've worked and earn their individual spot in the starting XI under Mikel Arteta. I hope he's able to dominate the EPL just as Pep Guardiola did during his prime years at Manchester City and I know none of this teams can able to match strength and horrendous stats with Mikel Arteta.

My signature is up for rent.

Arsenal will surely play a more interesting and beautiful football next season because their mind is now at rest since they have succeeded in winning the Premier League trophy and also went to the Champions League final even though they didn’t win it going to the Champions league final is a plus to them all this will boost their confidence for next season, I believe that Arsenal is going to lift the premier league trophy next season and possibly lift the champions league if they should sign important players, they already have good and solid defenders and a good striker.
Yeah what Arsenal needs right now is a very good winger so if they can get 1 good winger it will really help them a lot so he can replace Trossard and Martinelli but as for me Trossard should stay because his better than Martinelli.

Honestly, I will hope to see Arsenal to play beautiful football next season. Because to me Arsenal used Leicester City pattern to win the premier league trophy this season. And that made following season tougher for Leicester City because they won the league that year using defensive tactics. If Mikel Arteta can improve his attacking line, I'm confident that he can win all the domestic trophies and champions league as him planned this season, because that defensive pattern doesn't make their games interesting.

I think Arsenal is gonna play at top again next season in fact they are gonna be the team to beat and not only because they are the current champion is more because after the Pep Guardiola departure Manchester City is not longer the team to beat, i want to see how City and Liverpool plays in the next season plus United we are gonna see if they finally are gonna be a great team under Carrick coaching.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the rivalry, sometimes even more than the game but I don’t like the way rival fans gang up against Arsenal for just existing when really they should be against 115 charges Manchester City.
P.S. You said City but I think you might have meant Arsenal because Pep’s team do not lose key matches.
Well, if you think about it, both teams lost games they should have won. Both Arsenal and City had the advantage to take the lead. I'd say Arsenal had a bit more consistency, which I admire, but the current City isn't the same as it was 3 or 4 years ago. They've lost something. Now that Pep is gone, I hope the new manager can continue doing well; the club deserves it.
