The Warthog team is excited to announce an upcoming upgrade to our mining algorithm, Janushash! We're trading in Verushash v2.1 for the more secure and robust Verushash v2.2. This means improved security for the Warthog blockchain and a stronger foundation for our cryptocurrency's future growth.

Here's how it'll go down:

 First, bzminer (the trusty miner from iedoc) will get an update to support Verushash v2.2
 Then, we'll test-net the new algorithm to ensure mining runs smoothly
 Next, our pool partners will be notified and work their magic
 Finally, we'll determine a block height for the main net switch

But before we go live on the main net, we need YOU to help us test the waters... or rather, restart the test net nodes with the latest version! 🌊 This means all test net coins will be lost (RIP), but it's a small price to pay for a smoother algorithm change. 💸 Main net is not affected for now.

Not for now, we need to first deliver new features before and grow before we get in contact with additional exchanges. Indeed other coins with less solid foundations have much higher marketcap, we do not primarily do marketing but development of features that are totally new in the crypto space like browser nodes, lightweight defi, thread based sync model and of course our groundbreaking Proof of Balanced Work algorithm by CoinFuMasterShifu requiring both, CPU and GPU for mining such that big farms cannot easily join.

Here is some news about the state of the project:

Bad news:
BalkyBot (logo and new website figma designer) is busy and not available to help us at the moment.
TheFunVampire who helped implementing the new website is also not available anymore.
Some things take more time, than expected. Sorry about that.

Good news:
CoinFu (DJ) has joined the project 1 month ago and is implementing a browser extension wallet, the UI is already complete, now the logic is implemented.
Fundraise was a success: CoinEx exchange accepted and fixed the raised 15k WART + $3000 (paid by Slixe from Xelis) even if WART price fluctuates. NO DATE/ETA YET - CoinEx is hard at work with implementation.
BIT exchange also is working on listing for free thanks to Mr. One (Never DM). I am (Shifu) helping their integration team.
Losthymns is actively working on the new website and CoinFu will help when he is finished with the browser extension wallet.

Today a memory corruption bug was fixed in the network_refactor branch (untable 0.7.x versions), making it more stable. This branch is needed for browser nodes.
Testing: We are working on bringing browser nodes online (testing network_refactor branch for stability right now).
MiningPools: K1Pool is interested in supporting Warthog.
