I am designing a custom hologram for physical bitcoins, and I would like to make it multi-lingual.

What is the best word(s) to use to say something is a genuine item.

English words:
Authentic
Genuine
Original

This would be to signify that this item is not a fake.

Also, do you primarily use the word Bitcoin, or do you use some translated form of that word.

In Russian :
Authentic - аутентичный, действительный.
Genuine - подлинный.
Original - оригинальный.

All these words in Russian can be replaced by one word - настоящий.

Would you feel that настоящий is the best word to use in this context?

Yes, настоящий or подлинный.
Let's see what others will say.

We say Биткоин and sometimes Битмонета. But we all understand
the word Bitcoin. So I think that the word Bitcoin is the best option.

Would you feel that настоящий is the best word to use in this context?
In what context? It also depends on the form of the noun. So if you'll
say 'Настоящий биткоин' - it's correct. But in the plural form it should
be 'Настоящие биткоины' (yes, we have plural adjective forms). If you
wanna say '100 genuine bitcoins' it will be '100 настоящих биткоинов'.
If you just want something like "it's genuine" on the hologram you may
print 'ПОДЛИННО' over and over again. Ask if you'll have any questions.

In my opinion the word "настоящий" in this context sound childish. It is ok during colloquial communication but not really proper for such inscription. I believe "подлинный" sounds more appropriate in this context.

Never heard of "Битмонета", pretty vulgar attempt of direct translation. Even we use sometimes "Биткойн" in writing I assume just because of the single reason to avoid switching keyboard form Russian to English and back. For the carefully prepared copies there is no reason to use word Bitcoin in Cyrillic letters. Russian education system ensures that absolutely every literate person can read Latin letters.

If we talking about hologram (or whatever) seal the phrase "Genuine Bitcoins" in this context sounds fine in English but pretty senseless or even a bit silly in Russian. What you would probably need is something like "Authenticity Affirmed" (Подтверждение подлинности) or "Authenticity Guaranteed" (Гарантия подлинности). In this case problem with the word Bitcoin in Russian solved too. I'm sure you will have this word repeated many times everywhere around the seal any way.

Yeah! Or you just may print ORIGINAL or ОРИГИНАЛ. Every Russian man
(even those who can only read English words but do not translate) will
understand ORIGINAL correctly because will read it as ОРИГИНАЛ word.
