Sri Lanka cricket premier league has been started from yesterday(30 July) and there will be total 24 matches and final will be held on 20! August. This time international players from other countries are also included and many Pakistani, African, Bangladeshi will be in action.

Look like Sri Lanka patches are in the favor of batsmens. In the previous two games scores was above 170 in the first inining. Srilanka much needed this kind of league with overseas players to improve their performance and should ready for world cup and other international series.


3rd Match: B-Love Kandy vs Colombo Strikers
Colombo Strikers win the toss and opted to bat. First wickets fall early in the first over. now both batsmens looking aggressive.. Babar azam didn't scores in the previous game and hopefully he will make score in this match.

Galle Gladiators vs Jaffna Kings
It's seventh match of LPL where Galle won the toss and took bat first due to bowling friendly pitches they unable to score a big target, young bowler Dunith Wellalage from opponent side done supervb Bowling and took important 4 wicket which turn the entire match and even big name like Shakib, Rajapaksa, shanaka etc fail to face such situation but anyway some how they just scored 177/9, while the Afghani star R.Gurbaz play brilliantly during chase as because he not only scored his half century but almost chased down the most runs with help of his partner Hridoy and thus they won the match in 12th over with the loss of just wickets.

Zainmalik75 GLT scored 117 and you have written 177/9 which shock me that how they score high runs. So far only some matches was interesting. Srilanka patches are not good for batsmens , the reason first team scoring average is less than 150

The match was very interesting between Dambulla Giant and Colombo stars.Dambulla player Kusal Mendis played very well and became man of the match.Colombo players also played very well but they lose match by 10 runs.Nuwanidu Fernando  also played well for Colombo stars but bad luck happen with Colombo.
Kusal Mendis scored 87 runs by face only 46 balls.Dambulla king gave  a big target of 192 runs and Colombo stars could make 182 runs.Kusal Mendis performance helped his team to win match.

16th Match Jaffna Kings vs B-Love Kandy

Fantastic match between these two team end with B love winning by 8 runs. I enjoyed this match so much. Pakistani youngsters Muhammad Haris played real t20 cricket and scored 81 runs im just 51 balls. 178 runs is big target in Srilanka grounds. Jaffna kings lost openers earlier. Miller and Shoaib Malik partnership give some hope for winning but Shoaib Malik failed to finish strongly. overall this match was high score match and double sided game.

16th Match Jaffna Kings vs B-Love Kandy

Fantastic match between these two team end with B love winning by 8 runs. I enjoyed this match so much. It all looked like the Lankan Premier League had started and now it is close to the end of the league. Few more days left and amidst the prevailing situation of Sri Lanka the league is slowly getting progress as foreign players participation have been good compared to the past season. In the match between Dambulla Giants and Colombo Strikers it was Dambulla Giants to win by 50 runs. McDermott (69) and Alex Ross (51) had contributed good runs and in the bowling Hasan Ali took 3 wickets. With this win Dambulla Giants continue to be on the first position on points table.

19th march B-Love Kandy vs Dambulla Aura

Dambulla win this match and now Dambulla is top team in ranking table with 12 points while BLK standing on second with 8 points. Dambulla team did job to qualify for paly off and only two more matches to be played and dambulla will be on top also after these two matches.

Today match was very interesting and both openers done a good job by making good partnership. unfortunately no one able to make fifty but above 30 runs is enough in t20 format to make good score on the board. Dambulla team gives target of 163 which is not easy to chase for second team in Srilanka patches.

B-love batting line up is very strong and have ability to score aggressive innining. Both dangerous openers Muhammad haris and Fakhar zaman out earlier without scoring double figure which created lot if pressure on the team. Dinesh chandimal scores fifty and Methews scores 26 but at the end they lost by 20 runs.

LPL 2023 Qualifier 2: B-Love Kandy vs Galle Titans

B love Kandy won the toss and elected to bat first. While batting first B love kandy give a responsible target of 158 runs for Galle Titans. Dinesh Chandimal brilliant batting scored 38 runs in 37 balls and Wanindu Hasaranga batting well scored 48 runs in 30 balls giving a good target of 157 runs in loss of 7 Wickets in 20 Overs. From GT Lahiru Kumara bowling well picking 2 wickets by just giving 21 runs. While chasing down the target Galle Titans current score is 67 in a loss of 3 Wickets in 10 Overs. Galle Titans Need 91 runs in 60 balls to win this match

FINAL: Dambulla Aura vs B-Love Kandy

Here is end of Lanka premier league where two big teams faced each other. Dambulla squad had only Srilanka players and only two foreign players and both was not experience players while B-love had three Pakistan top players(Asif ali, Haris, husnain).

Dambulla batter first but failed to give high target. 170 is best score to defend in t20 but if you have less than 160 then bowlers have to play key role. DMA scores only 147 despite six  wicket in hands. Infact B-love bowling was so strong and didn't allow DMA team to score high. De silva picked one wicket and gives 24 scores in 4 overs.
B-love won the match in last over. DMA defended well but top 3 players especially Mendis contributed well. At the end Asif Ali 19 of 10 plays a key role to increase the runt rate which make it easy for B-love to win this final . overall tournament was so good this time and and it will helpful for bringing top quality payers for Srilanka international team.

Congratulations B-Love Kandy for winning the Linka Premier League Final by 5 wickets. The player of the match is Angelo Mathews for his amazing all round performance score of 25 unbeaten in 21 balls and bowling 2 overs by just giving 11 runs what a performance. Dambulla Aura scored 147 runs in loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. That score is not enough to win this LPL final. B-Love Kandy chased down the target of 148 runs in 19.5 Overs by losing 5 wickets. Dhananjaya de Silva batted well scoring 40 runs in just 29 balls but Dambulla Aura didn't set a big target. From B Love Kandy Kamindu Mendis scored 44 runs in 37 balls and Mohammad Haris 26 runs inning helped to win this grand final of LPL. The player of the tournament is Wanindu Hasaranga for his amazing all-round performance champion player.
