It was just simply by the magic and beauty of starting with a small amount of money then suddenly the outcome of having a huge amount of money. In my case, when I was a kid there's a small game outside my school that many kids literally went there straight after school. Of course it's a gambling called color game which is very popular here in the Philippines. I became curious why they think it was fun to risk your small allowance? So I tried, started with small amount then shouting that "BLUEEE" since I betted at blue. The fun it gives to me was fun as it also gives you the excite and thrilling experience every round of the game. So after winning some money of course I would treat myself and come back tomorrow for me to treat again myself since I'm good at this game. 

sounds like a gambler as they are. no one said it like they are really a gambler as simple as they are attracted to gambling because they like to gamble. its often a jackpot on a slot machine that makes a newbie sit for hours until his coins are gone. that jackpot is very attractive. sooner that newbie becomes a gambler after realizing he haad lost a substantial amount and needs to get them back.

Interesting, but I think the answer will be very relative.  and to be honest, I don't have a proper answer to this question.
For me, gambling is not something new, because I have known gambling since I was young. yes, the exact neighborhood where I live, has never been separated from gambling even though it is based on traditional gambling. maybe this is what causes me to be interested in gambling, apart from the benefits that I can get.

Gambling is an activity that is fun, entertaining and can also give us big wins, regardless of the risk of fatigue.
well, regarding the good and bad in gambling, I'm sure it's not something foreign to those of us who like this one hobby. we often experience bad phases in gambling, which means we always lose during gambling sessions. the good experience, there is no other word but to win the jackpot when our balance is almost down to 0.
well, so I think we have a lot of experience related to gambling, both joy and sorrow. when it comes to sports betting, I often experience sizable losses. also, on the other hand, get a sizable win. moreover, in parlay betting. which in essence, everything becomes interesting because we like this one hobby.

I was attracted to the fact that I could easily make money in just a few clicks or bets, but I am also aware that in just a few clicks or bets I could also lose my money.
I started gambling when I was young and got a taste of an easy money and that is how I started playing or seeking other gambling games or forms of gambling.

The same here. In my group of friends we started playing slots when we were still underage. Typically, you go to a place and you see that one of us is playing and in the end he or someone else ends up hitting the jackpot. He broke the cardinal rule in gambling and which is only played with money that you can afford to lose and never involve your savings in gambling, even if you are 100% sure that you are going to win you never the know outcome until the results are final, in gambling there are unforeseeable events that can happen that you least expect it.

actually there is no way that 100% sure can happen to gambling so I believe that he broke the cardinal rule and also his capacity to lose.

I was attracted to gambling specifically sports betting peer to peer especially if I am against a bettor who bets for the underdogs, there is something when you win in gambling its easy money but after a lot of disappointment and realizing that you cannot make a lot of money from gambling and you cannot make a living out of it, I have to give up hope that I can be good in gambling and accept is as entertainment and only bet with money that you can afford to lose.

it happens to every gambler when he is telling a story, hiding his defeat and only telling his win to attract his friend's attention and after that when his friend is interested in wanting to register he gives his referral link 
from what I have observed, there are lots of gamblers who try to gamble because they hear stories from their friends about big wins and some think that getting doubled money from gambling is very easy and trying to gamble after losing must have curiosity in their minds and keep trying to gamble. until he lands a big win to show off to his friends.
this situation has become a trend in many countries, even in my own country. nowadays, many people gamble because their friends brag.

I was lucky to win a very big amount in a soccer match but the day I lost all my savings I almost got a heart because the pains refused to go away.

You win some you lose some is how the gambling system is. I'm sure you have learnt your lesson now from your heart pain that you don't have to gamble all you have in the hope of winning big. Winning is not a guarantee until you see the reality of it. It is illusive until you have seen your ticket in green. Am sorry I don't think am one of those people that would say gambling is attractive, because there is just so much risk involved in this industry and many lives have been destroyed by it and if you aint in it the better for you as you have dodged the bullet!

But if you asked why I gamble, well I would say it's a test of my sporting knowledge,  make some money and putting my money where my mouth is and of course a little fun too..

You and I know that your buddies can't reveal this information to you because they would be chasing their losses if they considered it and it's good they didn't say it either because you would know the ugly side of gambling.
But if you still insist go ahead and ask them, after that a follow up question of why they still gamble when they aren't profitable

Your experience is almost the same as mine but what sets me apart is knowing and trying gambling when I was a teenager and intending to make more money from small capital.
My goal is to make money to be able to buy anything to have fun and from there I started to like gambling until now, but a few years ago my life was destroyed because of my penchant for gambling plus a pandemic that made all my work and work useless in vain the business was lost so there was no income whatsoever and from this bitter incident I realized that too much gambling would bring misery in the future because almost all the money I had was only used for gambling so when there were economic difficulties I could not have extra money to live my family.

When I first joined gambling I gambled there with ambition but after a long time when I realized that it is not a platform for earning money then I gambled normally and tried to enjoy from here. It was funny when I read the part 'Interrogate' him, you asked him and he share his burden with you as a friend, though your friend made a big mistake by using money that is so important to his life for gambling. The reality of gambling is this, don't ever use money that is so important to you to wager any game, it doesn't worth it no matter the opportunity that you see in it, it doesn't end well, in short, there is no way you will enjoy gambling when you risk money you need very well because the more you try to relax not to think about it, there is this reoccurrence of reaction when you remember that your money is at stake, not a wise decision and I hope your friend learn his lesson.

The fun within the gambling game is the one that attracted me.  I have been exposed to gambling at a young age.  I see adults playing cards on the neigborhood and kids playing with cards and toys as a bet.  Some also play cara y cruz (toss coins) and they looks havig fun.  So when I got a chance, I tried to play with the kids in the neighborhood, and it was indeed fun playing with cards and toys as a bet.  Then as I grow up, toys being the bet where replaced by actual money.

Environment is the common reason why people started gambling. Well, thinking about it now, it should be the only reason because no family(nurture) will raise their kids and teach them how to hit the jackpot. Our gambling story always starts from a friend, a colleague, an advert, a story etc. Like others, my own is no different. Well, I said if he is there then, there is nothing wrong with it. I can win some money too.
