I have never understood luxury accessories ever in my life. Doesn't have to be a watch but to be fair the only watch I ever owned was a gift from my aunt when I was like 15 or 16, never bought a watch ever again, never been gifted one of course since they are quite expensive if you go that route. But I also do not understand other stuff either, necklace, earings, rings, wrist thingies whatever they are called, they even have some for feet. At the end of the day the only thing I am willing to spend money on like that would be clothing, which I rarely do, but sometimes I do it, usually wear cheap stuff as well, if I have 1 expensive shirt, I probably have 10-11 cheap ones as well, only wear the expensive one on special days. So long story short, I rather invest into bitcoin of course, because expensive clothing or accessories never made any sense to me, and probably never will after this age.

But personally, i'm no celebrity, a public figure, a social media influencer, politician, or even billionaire businessman, that should care about trying to show up with a luxury wristwatch or anything luxury when these assets such as real estate, landed properties and Bitcoin whose value likely to triple or go 5x still exist. Because luxury is meant for wealthy individuals, of which if I'm to choose between a luxury watch and Bitcoin, I will go for Bitcoin as a lover of digital currency and for security reason, as watch can be stolen, but land and real estate  can never be stolen

You're right, why should i made a choice of what has the least security means of getting it safe from been stolen, how am i going to be sure that the watch am going for is not fake in disguise for gold, no one can fake bitcoin, it can be prevented from third party or being stolen, it's more profitable, getting it requires no KYC because bitcoin is decentralized and uses a p2p network, one can also easily lost a wrist watch at anytime and the whole item is gone for good and can not be recovered.

I don't have any luxurious items either, and even a single watch I don't have. My clothes will last me 3–5 years or more, and I rarely buy one, but comparing it to investing in a luxurious watch is very different because it is not something I want; this would be like gold in that it increases in price over time. I am not an expert on watches, but a lot of people are buying and selling them, and I mean rich people who want rare watches that they will pay no matter what the original price.

I believe the reason is related to the pure and wealthy materials used to craft such luxurious goods, plus the handmade job executed by the artisan. By acquiring legit goods of that kind I think you can do a great investment, however it's not that easy, because it requires skills to identify what is legit from copies, which are also pretty common on this industry. There are lots of impersonators earning money scamming investors.

For that reason, I belive it's preferable to invest in BTC, because even a layman can spot the legitimacy of the investment without any difficult, therefore it's likely to have less chances of being scammed when investing in BTC than when investing in luxury goods.

I believe what you opt for is the right choice for people like us, but we should still not generalize things as the status of the person in question matters. And to me, the discussion in a contest might still not be so detailed as there is individuality in all that we do and we can't absolutely define individuality without their status and reasons for their actions genuine or not. What am I saying? Choices will never be the same and we can't crucify anyone for it. For me, I will go by your choice, but some would do otherwise since they might even have another alternative to Bitcoin for investment and earnings and might not need Bitcoin as a choice. I agree with you. Just because it has the word luxury in it doesn't mean it wouldn't hold future value. In fact, most of the rich people I am acquainted with invests in a lot of luxury goods that they know will have a good value after a few years as not only will they be able to use them but one day sell them for a higher price and make profits.

The issue with investment most at times is people tend to invest in what they do not have knowledge about even if that business is lucrative, without proper knowledge it will not yield the desired profits.

Hi end $25000 watches have done okay over time.

My choice would not be a watch or 2 or 3..

Since I do know shit from shinola I would not mind buying a nice shinola watch to wear maybe a $500-1000 range model.

As for investment in no particular order bonds,gold,silver,platinum,palidium,real estate ,bitcoin ,LTC and Doge.

I will have to choose investing in Bitcoin over luxury. This is because I understand the Bitcoin market better and know how the profit can be calculated. But that of the luxury watch, for which I believe the price tag might depreciate or reduce and whose value is highly dependent on either the price of material used for the making or the power that the brand holds in society and the hype it gets from the market, for the main time the luxury watch will be considered very expensive because of the hype that's it's gotten in the market, but we also have to consider what will happen next if their competitors have to take over the market with a more trending product, the outcome will be a decrease in price, and the case won't be any different from what was experienced in the time of NFT hype.

If I talk about my area, most people in my area prefer investment in gold and real estate. In my area very few people know about Bitcoin while no one knows about expensive watches. So people in my area will never invest in expensive watches.

I would slightly disagree with you that nothing is inferior to others. Each thing has its own value but it can never be equal to another thing. Bitcoin, gold, real estate, stock exchange all have their value in their place but they can never equal each other. Some have more profit, some have less chance of profit, some have less risk of loss, some have more risk of loss. In some investments you may get good returns quickly while in others you may have to wait. Therefore, every investment has its advantages and disadvantages which can never be equal in all.

Well, a luxury watch is also considered a good investment if you know what to look for in terms of quality and design. Aside from that, it appreciates depends on the material, rarity due to limited numbers being created, or a certain collector offering a big amount over it. The same with Bitcoin, it was also considered a good investment if you know more about the technology, its use/function, etc.

Never  knew these things appreciate and some people even see them as assets. But notwithstanding,  I would rather invest in a tangible project than buy a luxurious watch.

With the way technology is advancing, how sure are we that the luxury watch will still be of class in few years to come? I will only consider the luxury watch if I have enough investments and the returns from these investments can afford me a luxurious lifestyle.

I want to do both but not like most others. What people do is when they have some extra money in their hand they go to the market and buy expensive things which brings more liability with them. Most people don't know the difference between assets and liabilities which is the biggest reason they can not progress financially and end up in debt. The right approach is to make investments in assets and the profit that assets generate can be used to buy expensive things if you want to. Luxury watches aren't your typical expensive buy my guy, when you take good care of these you're literally looking at 300k profit by the lowest, also depending on the brand of the watch you're buying. It's also worth noting that these are tangible, you can wear as a statement piece, or you can just keep where you could see it to be a conversation starter. Bitcoin on the other hand, isn't so bad of an investment purchase either, just cause it's not tangible or it's volatile lol.

Showing off even if you arent really that totally rich is something a very common type of behavior on us human beings. We do really love on trying to show that we are on trend, we are on having such class,
we are something that has some standing and popularity and recognition via purchasing out into those things which are really that a normal human being behavior but we know that there are ones who
are really that good when it comes to self control and discipline or something that do talks about financial management which we know that not all would really be having this kind of mindset
but rather they are really that focusing on trying out to impress other people and this is the reason that they are really that a fan on buying things.

On the time that you do see that you dont have emergency funds on the time that you do have financial struggle then this is where self realizations do happen.
