This are very worrisome developments and many people will fall for these A1 cloning scam, when the images and voices seems so real, it'll take a tech savvy person or someone who has been enlightened about what has been happening not to fall for the scams. Normally I'll easily fall for these scams when I see a person that is concerned with a perticular project talking about it and I'll tend to believe everything said by the person, this is why I'm very grateful for threads like this that enlightens an average person like me. Best thing to do is to keep ignoring them or like OP, inform others so they don't fall for these scams, lastly is to be very careful about promises of free rewards on the social media.
Before maybe, yes, but now? I think not anymore, since many people are getting aware of these new schemes. They will now think twice if they will try what they see, especially if it's too good to be true. So they'll properly do their research first, only to find out the real truth about it. The three coins aren't new cryptos, so it really questions me whenever I see a post that they are doing a giveaway.

We think we can get a free coin, but the people behind it are actually the ones who will get a free coin from us, once we follow their given steps. To be concerned, is different from being interested. So when you say a person that is concerned to some projects, you will actually try to avoid it ( not embraced it ). And to FOMO for a random project is bad.

They play videos on the background like Ted talks, right? and then there goes the instruction on what must the viewers do to receive these fake giveaways.

No man, that scam you're talking about is how they USED TO do it before A.I. I've also seen several of those with Bill Gates
and Elon Musk where you would see them talking to an audience from afar ( so that you couldn't see his lips sync to the audio ) and a fake
voice overlay.
It seems most of you people have not seen the new A.I. scams. I only get them on my TV so I don't have a link, but I'll try to find one.
It's actually quite disturbing. You can actually see Charles Hoskinson, Brad Garlinghouse and Sergey Nazarov ( not together, each in their own separate "special announcement" video ) talk to the camera, in an extremely convincing studio setup, explaining their giveaway.
Everything from the words they use to the gestures, lip sync, and the voice looks absolutely legit ! As I said in my first post, it's
scary to think A.I. can be THIS CONVINCING, except that it's been used to scam people.

Granted, the potential of AI to improve our lives is undeniable. The ability to use AI in medical diagnosis, weather forecasting and even education is invaluable. However, misuse of AI has the potential to cause massive damage. This poses a significant threat to cyber security as it becomes easier for criminals to create and spread malicious software without the need for extensive technical knowledge. As AI continues to advance, it is crucial for policymakers and technologists to consider potential risks and implement safeguards to prevent misuse of AI for illicit purposes. The potential benefits of AI are huge, but the potential dangers are also dire. As technology continues to advance, it is our responsibility to ensure that AI is used for the betterment of humanity rather than its destruction.

Yeah op, I have seen something of this sort but never gave it any attention because I am not moved by those 10x increase
giveaways, my experience on this was, they tried using  elon musk's personality to trick people and I am sure that most persons would fall to the scam because, it seemed pretty legit. But those who would fall for this scam, I'll tag them to be greedy and foolish, how would you expect to send money or crypto to someone and expect that same person to double it for you, if it were to be ligit the person doing the airdrop should have just sent you the free tokens of crypto rather than requesting you to send first so that he can identify your wallet address. However op thank you for bringing this discussion here I believe many newbies would learn from it.

You can actually see Charles Hoskinson,Brad Garlinghouse and Sergey Nazarov speaking to the camera and moving their lips
while sounding exactly like the people mentioned. The scripted announcement is also extremely professional ( and clearly A.I. scripted )
and would have anyone believe this is 100% legit.
So with a combination of Chat GPT scripting, voice cloning and Deepfake ( or similar ), these scoundrels are robbing unsuspecting
newbies of millions.
A good example of A.I. becoming a force for evil, rather than good.
One of the most important things for us to avoid being trapped by scammers is not to easily believe anyone who says they will give free gifts very easily, but with certain conditions. Especially with a very tempting nominal value, never mind, forget it and it's better to move on to something more realistic. It is undeniable that the sophistication of AI and technology in the current era can be so deceptive, sometimes it is difficult for a lay person to differentiate between them. but once again, you don't need to look at who he is, but how, when scammers act, they will provide guidelines and gifts in a way that is very easy to do, so it will be easy to sway us to follow what they tell us.

As people who have known about various types of scams like this for a long time, we really need to be alert in advance and it's better to avoid things like that. However, for beginners, this is often a danger for them, because of their ignorance coupled with their lack of interest in reading cases that actually happen often and are almost the same.

A good example of A.I. becoming a force for evil, rather than good.
AI is a tool. When tool is good enough, it will be used for both doing evil and good. I reckon that good in AI outweighs evil when it starts to find cures for diseases.
Then again, it will be used to make horrible diseases as well as spread disinformation, with a rate we are not prepared to deal with. So scams are just a tiny threat compared to it.

I just encountered one with fake elon advertisement made by AI used his voice and head. Supposedly about the coin he was endorsing, even though anyone following this scene would automatically know it would be fake, no matter how good quality the fake elon would be.

Ad itself wasn't that good quality, but with elon's voice i reckon that old, ignorant, non tech-savvy people will fall for those. As you don't even need to buy anything, you just need to link your wallet. And they will be drained.

Quality on these scams will most likely increase as they seem to get funded by people linking their wallets. And when there's easy money out there and if they live in a poor country. I totally understand the appeal of scamming rich people. And by rich i mean everything from poor to wealthy on first world standards

Be careful with scanning qr codes. Even if they say that there's a free money on it, don't be quick to scan it. You are on your own with dealing upon these things and you're the one to blame if you alone have scanned it and redirected you to a phishing link or to a website that's asking you to download some unknown app.

Am I the only one seeing these Ads ? And no, these are not 2 year old Elon Musk scams, these are DAYS OLD A.I. scams, using the latest A.I. technology to present a digital clone of someone, sounding and looking EXACTLY like the original ! ( there are tiny nuances that give it away, but only to someone who's worked with image manipulation before )
Because of the rampant AI apps that can easily make images and videos, they(scammers) are using it and making it look like they're encouraging and attracting scam videos.

This sounds funny to me since I don't fall for giveaways on social media but this is a serious matter. I've seen some AI videos myself and I agree that there are still ways to recognize that it's fake so imagine if they become more refined in the coming years. YT and other platforms with video sharing should be quick to address this.

I think this is something that should be thought about collectively about the dangers and potential crimes that AI can cause. In the past, AI was only able to generate a few things that were not potentially dangerous, but now AI is able to recreate images of human faces and can even make it seem like they are talking. I've seen videos that show the faces of famous people in the world and they are talking and it says that this is the sophistication of AI. Of course, this can be used to manipulate beginners into fraudulent activities.

So I've seen 3 more Michael Saylor "BitCoin giveaway" scams since my last post. The quality of these isn't as good as the other ones I mentioned earlier.
It seems scammers aren't even putting much effort into making the Michael Saylor clone believable anymore.
One that caught me by surprise was a CNBC spot featuring Larry Fink, where both the CNBC host and Larry were cloned for a
"Massive Bitcoin Giveaway" scam.
So the list of cloned crypto leaders now grows to seven:

Charles Hoskinson  --- Cardano
Brad Garlinghouse  --- XRP
Sergey Nazarov ------- Chainlink
Michael Saylor ---------MicroStrategy
Brian Armstrong ------ Coinbase
Anatoly Yakovenko --- Solana Labs
Larry Fink ------------- Blackrock

A few weeks / months later, I'm still getting new "massive giveaway" scam videos interrupting my YouTube viewing.
Already, there's been several Michael Saylor clones and Coinbase, but I was surprised to also see Cathie Wood added
to the mix there !
Wait WHAT?!? Yes, Cathie Wood from Ark Invest asking us fall for the QR Code Scam !
So to recap, here's the list of clones in this elaborate scam so far :

Charles Hoskinson  --- Cardano
Brad Garlinghouse  --- XRP
Sergey Nazarov ------- Chainlink
Michael Saylor ---------MicroStrategy
Brian Armstrong ------ Coinbase
Anatoly Yakovenko --- Solana Labs
Larry Fink ------------- Blackrock
Cathie Wood -----------Ark Invest

Don't fall for it !

We are in the bull market and many scammers are looking for ways to scam people which we need to be aware about.
The rate of scam these days can be very alarming and we need to be vigilant and not send money to any wallet inform of giveaways or doubling our money. It is good we ask questions from people that have been in the crypto market for long so that we can learn from them and not fall victim to mere scam.

So far, there will usually be a lot of scams that occur even more towards the bullish era. And the problem is that there are still many people who believe in this case. Even though the scam model is exactly the same or only has a slightly different concept. But they still believe in that statement. This is quite dangerous, because we can't stop people from getting involved in projects or giveaways or airdrop scams directly. What we can do is spread information and also provide education for anyone who is on the verge of being caught in a scam or is in the prospect of being scammed. From here we can see that scams are difficult to eradicate, and will definitely happen more and more. Whether it's giveaways or airdrops or prizes with claims of sending a fee or whatever. Or by clicking on certain links that end in phishing links, and so on. and it doesn't just concern the coins mentioned. There are still many other types of scams that we have to be aware of.
