You're right, it's complicated to convince an addicted gambler to invest in bitcoin, which they know fully well that they won't receive their profits immediately, but they will have to wait for a week, month or even a year. Gamblers have no business with investing or holding bitcoin for long time. It's very important to know the mindset of addicted gamblers these set of people are capable of doing the unthinkable in gambling. They even go extra length to borrow money to use for gambling, so motivating them is not necessary in this case, they will only anticipate in what favours them or they find interesting to do.

Good idea. However, addiction is bad,  even if you're addicted to a good thing. So it doesn't matter if they're addicted to Bitcoin or gambling,  it's bad. 
Note:  not everyone who losses money in gambling is an addict.  It's gambling,  it's either you win or you lose.
I didn't think enlightening people about Bitcoin would stop people from being gambling addicts.  The reason is that Bitcoin is an investment,  it takes time,  while gambling is done within minutes or hours. So yeah,  they would invest in Bitcoin,  if they're smart enough,  but they will still be addicts in my opinion.  They didn't become gambling addicts because there was nothing for them to invest in.

Investment and gambling addiction don’t mix. It’s a recipe for disaster, if someone has a gambling problem and wants to solve his gambling addiction, the last thing that person needs is investing in bitcoin as a substitute for playing cards. I doubt any professional would recommend such methods. Bitcoin is a volatile cryptocurrency and the price can go up/down at any given time. How do you expect a gambler with no previous experience of bitcoin to react to his bitcoin investment going up to x2 or dumping? Remember there are some gamblers who know about Bitcoin more than you do and some of them invested in it already while some are even using bitcoin to gamble. Actually this is a good idea. However, since you said if they are addicted to gambling, I think it will be quite a difficult step for you to wake them up and attract them to Bitcoin investment. The forum is a perfect example for casino which actually provide services for crypto. Gambling is a habit and i believe can be only stopped by the person and beside people are well aware of BTC as a means of investment but still decide to gamble because they are prone to easy and fast money of which gambling already provides for most of these gamblers.
