While you're well-advised to buy only from official resellers, this isn't a total must for Ledger devices in my opinion.

A verified genuine Ledger Live software will talk only to a genuine Ledger hardware device. What I've heard or read is that Ledger doesn't make it very easy to verify its Ledger Live software, stupid them.

• A pre-filled mnemonic words card in a Ledger device box is an absolute no-go and a sure sign of prior tampering.
• A pre-set wallet in a bought as new Ledger device is similarly an absolute no-go. A new Ledger device has to present itself as new to be setup and behave like it has been factory reset. Check that it's genuine with a genuine copy of Ledger Live installed.

I'm no Ledger fanboy, simply don't buy this closed-source firmware blackbox crap from those who lied to you in their company's mantra (...the seed can't leave the secure element...).

She only made videos saying she was hacked but she didn't give any full information in those videos. By using Ledger and Xrp names, her videos went viral and she was able to monetize her channel.

It's actually the whole purpose of creating inspired videos to get people's sympathy and even donations. I checked her channel now and found that she is successful in her goal, monetization is turned on her channel!

I don't see anything strange here, a car is a place like any other, if you have a comfortable seat and privacy, I don't see the difference that the video would be better (more serious) if by any chance it was recorded in the office. As for giving it attention, I can agree that it's kind of bad (assuming the whole thing is made up), but I prefer not to comment on something if I'm not familiar with the content.

I am far from claiming that she is telling the truth, but we have come to the point of accusing a person of dangerous driving in addition to possible false hacking.

That's the thing: it would make much more sense to show transaction IDs than showing her head. And "privacy" is the last thing she's looking for, she wants attention.

OK, my bad, I made a false assumption based only on the video's thumbnail and I admit, I hate such selfie videos in cars if driving or not. But I didn't want to click and watch that video, under no circumstance.
