I think Blockchain Technology might be effective in increasing transparency and improving the food supply chain is enabling secure and tamper-resistant transaction records consumers can have greater confidence in the safety and quality of the food they consume and has the potential to reduce food waste and improve supply chain efficiency, which in turn can benefit producers and consumers. But, The Blockchain Technology is not a panacea and cannot completely eliminate food fraud or contamination. It can only serve as a tool to increase accountability and help prevent such problems from occurring. For food preservation, although it is useful for extending the shelf life of food products.

Food safety is a crucial issue that affects everyone, and it's understandable why many people are concerned about the use of preservatives in food products. The UNISOT's use of blockchain technology to improve transparency and traceability in the food supply chain is a promising solution that could restore trust in the food industry. However, it's important to note that blockchain technology alone may not be sufficient to solve all of the challenges facing the food industry. It will require collaboration among various stakeholders, including food producers, regulators, and consumers, to ensure that food safety standards are upheld and that consumers can have confidence in the food products they consume.

OP, Food supply blockchain technology is a good step to regain trust of country food. If country food is used by the public then there will be huge positive impact on country's economy. So food items should be free of chemicals because these chemicals are major causes of many diseases in USA. These chemicals are creating asthma and other breath related diseases. These chemicals are also major cause of stomach problems ,So food supply blockchain technology should work on this issue because health is at top in our list and this way economy will also be stronger and USA will be at top of the World in economic point of view.

most times, I wonder how these food produce are been made to last for a very long period of time. As at early 19th century, perishable food items could not be preserved for a lengthy period of time. now, we can see new ideas and innovation coming up. These food items can now be stored for longer period of time using preservatives or consumable chemicals tested and approved by the government for food preservations.

but how sure are we that these chemicals don't have negative effects on our body. we have heard about deaths in some countries caused by food consumption and this is really awful, leaving fear in the minds of other consumers.
In the United States, only 24%of it's citizens have confidence in the USA food supply. my question now is what happened to the remaining 76%of it's citizens. why are they not consuming these food produce?

In order to resolves these challenges, new innovative company like the UNISOT, has been set to address this problems using Blockchain technology to increase transparency and enable consumers track food products from the point of production, to the point of sale.

The question here is, will this new Blockchain technology be able to solve this problem?
will it return the trust of the remaining 76% of the USA citizens who lost interest in consuming their own country's produce.
would this Blockchain prevent infected food from reaching the mouths of unwitting humans in the future?
what do you think about food preservation is it fine by you, knowing fully well that these preservatives can be dangerous to health?

here is a source for this topic, you can as well read more on this from this link:How blockchain technology can help solve the $40B food fraud problem

Preservatives have ALWAYS been used in one form or another. This did not apply only to products from the “picked - ate, killed - ate” series. Even in ancient times, people salted, smoked, dried food... Stocking up on food is one of the most ancient processes. But they all balance between the safety of the stored PRODUCT and the safety of the preservative itself.

For example, take salt and meat! A good preservative, it even kills some pathogenic organisms, which allows you to prepare meat/fish for long-term storage. The nutritional value of meat/fish is preserved. But... it's salt. the benefit of which in large quantities is negative.

Let's take the second option - drying meat. Often, using the same salt, excess moisture is removed from meat, and then the natural drying process occurs. And here is a nuance - if ideal conditions are not created, insect larvae (not the most beneficial) will be deposited in the meat, or mold will appear, and it will not be beneficial at all.

Now the situation has changed, there are stronger and more selective substances and technologies (for example, heat treatment and vacuum). Yes, in large doses the chemicals will cause harm, but they are almost 100% safe compared to previous preparation methods. and the most important thing is that the taste of the products is preserved much better.

What can the technology you mentioned solve? In reality, it will not change the processing technology; it will only allow you to confirm that a specially “labeled” batch of goods will be exactly the one that the manufacturer sent to you or to the retail chain. Those. Blockchain can only increase the level of control over the product life cycle. No, for example, you can build IoT devices into containers that, from the manufacturer’s warehouse to the supermarket shelf, will record and record in the blockchain all the characteristics of the environment, temperature, humidity, illumination, integrity of packaging, etc. data. Then this will increase the quality of DELIVERY, but not the quality of the product. Those. the idea is good, but the quality of the product still depends on the manufacturer and the production process.

The process that food production undergoes from the point of production to the point of consumption by the final consumer is accompanied by regular quality checks to ensure that they are not harmful to the users.

The quality control and assurance teams work hand in hand in most food manufacturing company to look at the process that leads to the final product that is sent to the market and this process leads to the removal of goods or foods that does not meet the required standard set out by the standardized organization.
Of course, because of the high rate of corruption in the society, some of these safety measures are being boycotted and defective and harmful product see being sent into the market. Some private firms might take it upon themselves to run a check on some of this product and bring out their own finding to ascertain if the product is good for the masses consumption and this is the reason why most household might not accept the quality assurance coming from some some of the standardized organisation set out by the government.
