He uses those words (smart/stupid) in order to provoke members while he is using the real name of a person in real-life that he clearly wants to slander. The person using the "jvanname" is definitely not the person he claims to be. He is using his real name in every post just to bring negative attention to the real person.

I see that he persistently starts new arguments, based on "I'm smart, he's stupid", but I don't understand why the discussion with him continues. Isn't the best choice to ignore the troll, and given that he is smart, he will understand and give up in time.

An educated man would be smart enough not to engage in the things you do. An educated man wouldn't mention every 2 seconds that they have a ph d. An educated man wouldn't act like an idiot every response. You are just a basic waste of space and seem to just be having a little fun trolling on the forum. I use the words stupid to describe people because they are acting stupid. Duh. For example, when people hate me for making a reasonable attempt to prevent the next 5 pandemics, they are being incredibly stupid. But there is a reason why I am so much smarter than Bitcoiners. Bitcoin has a mining algorithm that was never designed to advance science, so Bitcoin attracts brainless chlurmcklets with exceedingly low levels of intelligence.
