A guy paid 33BTC for a satoshi and hundreds pay way more than 2k for a JPG, the publicity a new author would get for releasing his book over the blockchain for free would be worth 100 times that fee!

Good thing that 99.999% of the world's population has no idea how to browse Bitcoin blockchain so it's not common to see Bitcoin blockchain being misused for publishing text.

IMO it's a serious flaw that it's even possible to add any data that is not necessary to send coins from one address to another. Blockchain space is already extremely scarce, why are we tolerating non-productive use of it?

I truly understand your worries. This idea is coming with the situation on bitcoin now. countless degens are having fun on bitcoin. If bitcoin is misused as a big casino, why not put smt more meaningful on it? At least it can make bitcoin cool. As long as bitcoin is the most stable and reliable information storage. Even years later, human will not read books as a hobby, the block chain will remember the fantastic books. By the way, I think brc20-sats those ordinals are meaningless. And with time passing by, it will not be remembered by anyone. But it exactly occupied many valuable space of bitcoin. If bitcoin will be misused anyhow, why not misuse it to do smt cool~ Haha, thanks for your reply. It is a strong and stable point~

Hmm, yup Blockchain introduced a good way to store and secure data but a large amount of data cant be stored on Bitcoin's Blockchain because this is not for what the Bitcoin network was created, there are many Blockchain networks that provide the large data storage solutions on-chain, but Bitcoin hmm it's not for data storage as you know the block size issue + each and every Block is super expensive compared to other networks.

AR, ICP, and some others in which top of the list is the file, haha I know its a Bitcoin discussion but the topic's nature demands alternative names.
I'm sorry about using a not good name, I'm glad to change to obey policy. Thanks for your opinion.

Op stop making multiple posts in a row, it 'spoils' the thread and it is also against the forum's rules, you can reply to all the members you want to reply to in one post only. However, you do not even have to reply to every member who replied to your topic, just choose the 'necessary' ones and reply to them in one post, if you have an additional or new thing to say.

There's no need to overcrowd the Bitcoin network with stuff. If one wants to explore ideas of innovative libraries, why not consider Blockchain technology, but not Bitcoin blockchain specifically? I think that, realistically, it's inefficient and unnecessary, but at least it won't hurt Bitcoin, won't be an inconvenience and, who knows, maybe won't even be that expensive.
There are papers (for example, this one and this one) on using blockchain in library services, if that's what op wants to explore. But I feel like sometimes it's just better to stick to what works and not use Blockchain for unintended purposes.

Or maybe it’s better to leave the BTC-blockchain alone and not add all sorts of stuff like ordinals, runes, library? Bitcoin can't fully perform its direct functions, not to mention additional ones. Almost immediately, there is a jump in the cost of the transaction, which is clearly not good for mass adoption and increasing the user base. It seems to me that there is no need to try to put unnecessary things into bitcoin, because this technology is already outdated against the backdrop of newer blockchains and cryptocurrencies. There would be enough bitcoin capabilities to at least carry out current tasks and the increase in the number of users that will occur, which will certainly create additional load on the network.

Yep mate!
OP are doing multiple posts in row which is against the rules and it is strictly prohibited under the forum policy.

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

OP, I would recommend you to read all these rules in the below thread carefully and try to follow them. So that you don't create any problem later for you.

Bitcointalk posting etiquette <<<<

I think your first post was this topic and you broke the forum rules in his first post.  But anyway bro, So, if you read the rules first and post under them, hopefully you will not have any problem.
