I agree with this statement. The number of alt coins in existence nowadays is crazy, over 30k? Maybe slightly more when you count in the smart contracts, tokens and NFTs.. It's just becoming more ridiculous with the exception of some very few useful projects.

Yesterday, a poll was conducted to determine the preferred approach for adjusting block rewards, with two options on the table: "annual block reward halving (50% reduction)" or "monthly 5% reduction in block rewards." The majority of participants voted in favor of the second option, and as a result, we will be implementing the monthly 5% reduction. Block reward for miners will be set at 9 coins per block at the beginning.
