aZerbaijan is the weakest team in Group D. France is the best, they are owning the other teams, taking all points and receiving only a goal after 3 rounds. Ukraine is 5 points away from them and Iceland 6 points. There is no chance for them to overthrow France from its position.

Ukraine has a strong chance of finishing second in this group if Azerbaijan is the weakest team in Group D. Ukraine will face Azerbaijan in their next match, so Ukraine can aim for three points. Meanwhile, Iceland will face France, the strongest team, even though you might call them the best team in Group D.

The scenario for Group D is that Ukraine will get seven points, France 12 points, and Iceland will still collect three points because they will lose against France and Ukraine will win against Azerbaijan. What if that doesn't work out?

Turkey needs three points, which I believe they can get if they play well. Bulgaria will not be an easy opponent because they are playing at home, and any opponent playing at home is always strong because of the passion they have for their country and the fans. Turkey has good players who can play well in the match and take the points from Bulgaria. I believe Arda Guler of Real Madrid will score or assist in the match since the player has been playing well this season since the arrival of Xabi Alonso.

Their last match against Spain was a terrible one, as they received a lot of pressure from Spain, and I did not expect that they would lose to Spain. Because I can see that they won almost all of their matches, but unfortunately they didn’t get the chance to win the match against Spain, so in this case their upcoming match against Bulgaria will be very interesting to watch, as they will try to win the match to secure three points.

Turkey will take this match very seriously because they lost their last match against Spain, and losing two matches in a row will have affect them, but winning this match will take them to second place in the group stage and give them a good chance of qualifying for the World Cup. I'm not a fan of Turkey, but I like how they played with younger players.

Yeah, their performances alone can encourage a person to have interest in the team. Because even in their last game against Spain, they tried as much as they could; it's just that game was by luck. But the way they started the match that very day, their first game was incredible. With their current performance, I have hope for them that they will do everything possible to win the match so that they can qualify for the World Cup.

Complete opposite from yesterday, tonight I picked best game to watch. Iceland 3:5 Ukraine. It was just crazy game. Interesting thing that despite Ukraine's xG 0.62, they scored 5 goals. It shows that such stats sometimes doesn't reflect the game. Anyway, considering squad that they have, Ukraine can't be happy about their performance in qualifiers.
Main upset is goaless draw between Belgium and North Macedonia parked bus.

This statistic definitely needs to be corrected, and I think it will happen sooner or later. It's definitely not working. I don't recall ever seeing xG equal, say, 5 or 6, although we often see games ending with that score. For example, I'm sure yesterday's game, where Austria won 10-0, had a completely different xG figure. I might be wrong and there were games where the xG was actually 5, but it's certainly much rarer than we see on the scoreboard. I've noticed that xG usually stays strictly in the 0.3-2.0 range.

I can't understand how Spain won just 2:0 against Georgia. They hd so many moments against team that didn't played football. Turkey today showed how to score goals - 6:1 against Bulgaria away. Though, I have to admit that in recent years Bulgaria is looking more like San Marino.
Serbia surprisingly lost at home against Albania in game with strong political context. Portugal got tough win against Ireland only in last minutes after late Neves goal.

Situation isn't that bad for them, but from what I read, people aren't happy to see how team is playing and there is questions about coach Rebrov future.

The Argentina vs Venezuela match ended as expected, Argentina won 1-0. Although many expected a bigger win. However, Giovani Lo Celso scored a goal for Argentina in the 31st minute of the game and Argentina took the lead. Venezuela managed only 5 shots, while Argentina managed 19 shots. Argentina attacked a lot but could not capitalize on the opportunities. I am very happy with the result of this match, because I won the bet.

Group A is a really interesting one. Because Germany lost to Slovakia, now 3 teams have 6 points. But today Germany should be able to change this look by a win over Northern Ireland.

Group B... Sweden still have only 1 point which sounds ridiculous.    Because they are strong especially offensively. Today they should finally get their 1st win. It's against Kosovo home.
