When someone has a particular wallet which he spends Bitcoins from can he be considered a Bitcoin investor?
Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?
In my opinion, people who hold Bitcoin for a long period of time in their wallet can be said to be investors, because their focus is only on investment and is different compared to traders who focus on trading in TF and various strategies to achieve profits.
An investor means that it is a person who puts money into something, to make a profit out of it. It's not about how long you hold the bitcoin in your wallet, if you hold bitcoin in a few months, you are an investor, and if you are less than that, you're not. You see, as long as you make money out of it, the moment you start putting your money, you're already an investor.
Yes, trading is different as it requires technical analysis and market strategy, more on buying and selling. It is riskier and needs to be more knowledgeable to be able to gain profit unlike in investing. It also has more transactions compared to investing which requires less.
Do you believe we're simplifying to much? Investors, in my view, see an asset's worth, potential, and long-term potential. Its not about generating a quick buck, and investing has no timeframe. Does buying Bitcoin today and selling it at a profit tomorrow make you less of an investor than someone who holds for years? Investing requires mentality, strategy, and vision
Moving on to trading. Its riskier, more technical, and more transactions. To claim trading demands greater knowledge? I think investing and trading involve vast knowledge, just in different ways. Understanding fundamentals, trusting in technology, and seeing the larger picture are essential to investing. Trading? You must catch market waves and grasp the present. Both complicated and risky. Do you see a problem that trading and investing cant coexist? Can't someone trade and invest based on the situation and asset?
